Gambling is a very risky platform, if you use money here, there will be a possibility of loss. so you have to gamble by accepting this risk  For this you should use your own money there. If your money is lost, no one should be held accountable for that money. Why I brought this topic it's because so many people are still paying debt, why? Because they went ahead of borrowing money just to gamble and by the end of the day, they lose it all.  I know of a friend who is still battling to pay of his debt while he used the money on gambling. Is it proper no. What are the main points of gambling?

Of course, gambling is not an activity that should be prioritized because it is nothing more than a normal game that always runs full of uncertainty, meaning as you said that a gambler must understand about what should be prioritized in his life and obviously the answer is the various other more important things that you have in life such as household affairs, dividing most of the money to fulfill whatever is needed in life rather than just gambling, or other important things.

But yes as we know that there are some gamblers who always prioritize something that should not be prioritized, I don't know the reason but certainly most likely they are already very obsessed with gambling which is probably because they have excessive expectations of winning so they always act excessively and do various things that make no sense, and I have one friend who allocates more than 80% of his salary just to gamble while he struggles to make ends meet, and this problem will continue to occur if it is not stopped.

Addicted gamblers know these things but still want to just go ahead and borrow money to gamble because some are unable to control themselves, and whenever the urge for gambling comes, they do not mind how they get the money to gamble; they just want the money to gamble.

Do not lend money to your friends who you know want to borrow money to gamble with; if you do so, you are promoting the bad habit that they are forming.

if you're addicted in gambling that's shouldn't give you the audacity for you to lend money, you have to control your inquisitive in gambling if you want to be propagated in gambling, may person's has fall apart in gambling base on their curiosity to gamble and hoping that they will make a profit, so I believe that in gambling what you need to do is to have your calculation to earn funds you will use to gamble, but if you base to get loan to gamble you might end up yourself in correction centre, because people you lend funds from may think you're scam.

It's a wrong choice to pick gambling over our working activities. I've faced such challenges in the past, after gambling, during work I get tired. Such things made me to stop gambling much during the weeks, so as to focus on my working ethics. The misconception from many players is that gambling, to them, seem to offer more money than their work. These circulating false thoughts amongst many players have pushed lots of players to lose out focus on their work. Gambling is exhausting, not just on money, but energy.

The strength that would have been used to work efficiently in the working place then diminishes drastically. Thereby affecting the employee's quality of work. It could reduce his credibility in the office. On the other hand, taking loans to gamble is a wild behavior and a gambler shouldn't pick up this means of gambling. As it could lead to a painful life situation. Who will pay off the debt if the gambler doesn't win? His family of course. That's a form of building tiresome troubles for the family. Well, thanks for bringing up such a good advice to the gambling community here on bitcointalk, this is something that we have discussed on this board several times in the past, but like I will always say, good things that will helps gamblers to practise healthy gambling should never stop being talked or dicussed about, as the more we talk or discuss about that, the more it's stays fresh in the minds of gamblers, guiding them to not go astray in their gambling decisions.

Overall, it's absolute foolishness for anyone to go borrowing money for the sole purpose of gambling, knowing fully well that there are no sure winnings, or sure ways for one to get a guaranteed winnings from gambling, I personally does not, and will not pity anyone who borrowed to gamble and eventually lost the money.
In 2019, my neighbor in the place where I previously lived was arrested by the police becuase he borrowed money from one organization for busienss purposes, but unfortunately, he only added a little amount from the money into the business, and spent the most part of the money on betting on sports and playing lotto, which he won none but lost the whole money, as a result, he was arrested, charged and thrown into prison for six months, and the organization he borrowed the money from got a court order to sell all his sellable properties to recover their money, the organization sold everything he had, including closing down the business and auctioning off all his goods, he came out of prison broke, homeless, jobless his family already relocated to the village, he joined them in their village and I never heard from him again till date.

This is one of the many sad tales of people who borrow money and used the money to do gambling.

It's a giv en thing, I guess. But to elaborate you can't borrow money and use it in gambling simply because winning will never be certain. Imagine losing all of it and still be needing to pay it, would you be fine? Never put yourself in a situation that you wouldn't want to. If you already have the urge to borrow for the sake of being able to gamble, there's a big problem going on. That simply means you're too hooked up with the idea that gambling will make any significant change in your life. Always manage the risk as much as possible.

Keep in mind that many people are only using a portion of their salary to avoid worse situations which is to ened up with nothing because of this activity. It would be much better to anticipate that losing is more likely to happen than you winning. If it's not your day then accept it. If you don't have money to gamble then accept it. I agree with you. Borrowing money to gamble will only make you poorer and more ruined. I know many people like to gamble here but if you think you borrow money then you gamble then you win the jackpot, you should think like that. That's completely ridiculous and makes no sense. You have to pay your debt to your friend, but you won't necessarily win from gambling. I think this is one of the signs of gambling addiction. I think limiting your gambling budget is a wise choice. If you don't have money to gamble then don't ever gamble. I think gambling cannot be used as a source of income so don't be too ambitious about gambling.

Putting aside something that can actually never be separated from gambling is an unreasonable mindset and must be avoided, because after all, defeat will always be a part of gambling, even if for example you have the ability to pay off the debt but still borrow money. to gamble is an idea that eventually gets you into the habit of doing the same thing when you don't have money and most likely this idea will ultimately only lead them to new problems such as being in debt.

On the other hand, you have stated the reasons why the mindset of borrowing money to gamble is unreasonable, as you said, it is simply like we have to pay debts to other people for the loans we have taken but we really don't know whether we will win. or lose in a gambling session using that money, and if you look at the actions like this then yes maybe I will agree with your opinion that this is a mindset or idea that a gambler has which in the end will only lead themselves to addicted. It's not only in gambling, but people must never borrow money for anything except emergency needs! e.g. school, tuition fees, health etc.

If they borrow to invest in Bitcoin, it's a bad idea even though we know Bitcoin price will increase after few years. If they borrow to start or expand a business, it's still a bad idea since no one know how long your business can survive and business not always profitable every year.

Just some days ago, a user on this forum was talking about his friend who took a loan of about $2k and used the money to gamble, which was lost, and yet he is still gambling, trying to repay his debt from gambling.

Well there are some things that just can't be and one of them is everyone having the knowledge to prevent things that will cause harm for them. Nature has designed humans to actually commit mistake and make errors and I feel the ferocious way people gamble is one of those defects in our system, the funny thing about this is that sometimes we go in knowing fully well that we can be affected but still the zeal to continue with still drive on because of the supposed huge profits that keep playing on our minds.

You're just trying to prevent bad things from happening, as there are gamblers who, when they lose control, want to recover their losses by borrowing money. There's a high chance they'll lose again, creating another problem.
