Hello forum, I have just been housed in the crypto world and found this forum and just thought I would write a short presentation and say hi so Hi!
I kindly want to ask for advice and tips on how to get around here in the beginning? Where do I buy Bitcoin in the best website without being scammed? I O I have never traded crypto before. Grateful for all answers. See you around and thank you.

Where do I buy Bitcoin in the best website without being scammed?

Use whatever local platform you have in your country that has a good public reputation. Generally though, I personally use Binance P2P.

Also, if you're not knowledgeable about Bitcoin/crypto yet:

* If you like reading articles: https://coindesk.com/learn
* If you like reading books: https://theinternetofmoney.info/
* If you like watching videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPQwGV1aLnTuN6kdNWlElfr2tzigB9Nnj

Don't get anything twisted, your preferable links are understandable but for clarity, thorough research should be triggered. The above mentioned criteria will play major roles in guiding OP but that shouldn't mean he will relent and depend on them, rather grabbed the basis and also surf for himself some crucial information to keep himself updated. We know the space is broad but there's numerous sectors to get acquainted to and survive for important winnings.

I never said OP or anyone should rely on the provided links alone lol. It's just a list of content with the basics that people will need when they don't know where to start.

God forbid if I need to add a disclaimer "but of course do your own research and look elsewhere for other content and yea be active so you're updated!" every time I post links.

There is a sticky thread on this board which contains all the threads that are useful to newbies like, forum rules and how to understand profile information. Try to read the sticky threads on different boards to understand what is allowed there and what is not. Use the search option effectively too.

Binance is a centralized exchange and will certainly ask their users to do KYC. If you’re not comfortable with giving out your personal information, you can use a decentralized exchange like bisq. You can read their Ann thread for a guide on how it works.

You're required by law to submit AML/KYC if you're using a big centralized exchange or literally any finance-related platform(even banks, as you probably know); this applies to like probably 95% of countries globally.

If you're not a fan of AML/KYC, go with peer-to-peer exchanges like Bisq and HodlHodl.

At least in some jurisdictions (mine included) you are not the one required by law to submit it: it is them (centralised exchanges, banks...) who are required to ask it to you under the risk of having to face high fines from the regulator in case they don't. Although the effect is almost the same in practice, it means that if a centralised service doesn't ask you to submit AML/KYC you probably won't have any legal problems if you use it.

I don't know if you can purchase through your sepa bank. But you can purchase bitcoin from this forum. I think the below answer will help you.

Brings us to marketplaces like on this forum itself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 Pretty sure some traders would accept if you pay first. Given you don't have a reputation here or anywhere else, you'd need to find someone trusted or reputable so you feel safe sending first. Be prepared to face unfavourable terms, as you're an unknown entity.

P2p dealing with sepa bank is possible with wire transfers but surely there will be no one interested dealing with a credit card. You can make your own thread on Currency exchange. Make sure to follow the board's rules that can be seen as stickied in that board.

The reply above mine already answered your question but I will add that you should be careful because the forum is not a scam free platform. Some people will probably message you seeing how eager you are to buy bitcoin, they will try to use the opportunity to scam you. I'm not saying everyone that message you is a scammer but whatever happens please make sure you buy through escrow if you are to buy from anyone in this forum.

Doing personal research is very necessary and this forum is also a tool for research thou you can not rely on everything here just like in other research platforms as they are people's opinion based on their own experience. What Mk posted is just a link with additional information that might be helpful to the Op and the readers in general. I understand your point too because some newbies think everything end here without additional research.

Welcome to bitcointalk platform. From the looks, you have already been updated of some vital information which you would need for a start but however, I would also advise you to take the security and safety of your assets very seriously because the rate of scams and hacks are getting too high.

Most times, newbies are their targets and should be careful with links sent to you via email, social media handles, text etc. do not click links you have no idea or knowledge about. If you do not know the sender or expecting any link from anybody, immediately delete it  as there is every possibility that the link contains bugs which would be it used for phishing your details to steal from you.

Never keep your assets with any third party exchange because doing such does not guarantee the safety of your assets. If the exchange can state it clearly on their terms and conditions of service to not be able to guarantee you 100% assets safety, what do you expect. Lately big exchanges have suffered hack and that alone should be an eye opener that third parties can not be trusted to hold funds so in that case, keep your assets in your own self custodial wallet for your safety.

Keep your keys and seed phrase where you alone can access. Do not store them in google cloud but rather, it would be nice you write them down on a sheet of paper or note book which you alone  could see.
Remember the slogan " Not your keys, Not your coin".

If you want to buy bitcoins without fraud then of course you can use the exchange. For example, you can use Kucoin Exchange, Bybit Exchange, Binance Exchange.  Because you can complete any transaction through P2P in these exchanges.  And there is comprehensive security so you can complete the transactions from here properly.

It's better if you don't rush to buy Bitcoin from forum members. I suggest you first study the forum and people with a reputation on the forum. especially those often related to trade.
after you create this thread, I hope you don't trust anyone who sends you a PM too much. The forum remains a safe place for you, but you still have to be careful of people who might take advantage of your situation.

The one closest to you... Grin Grin

What is certain is that it is on an exchange that is official and legal in your country. Register there and make sure you have fulfilled all the requirements so that in the end, if you have made a profit from your investment, whether from trading or holding BTC assets, you can cash it back.

Take good care of everything, whether it's 2fa passwords or others. Just enter manually, never save your password online and take good care of your smartphone so it doesn't get lost or stolen.

People say your email is your wallet. I say your cellphone is your money because all the data is there.

I kindly want to ask for advice and tips on how to get around here in the beginning?

You need to read every bits of informations provided to you concerning that right from the start, read them, check on pinned threads, read them as well, ask questions when necessary, make use of the forum search engine, don't plagiarize, often read more than making post as a beginner, you will find this platform more interesting with time as you continue to learn and grow.

Where do I buy Bitcoin in the best website without being scammed?

If you don't mind on giving out your informations for KYC, you can make use of the centralized exchanges, but if you can't afford for that, you should make use of a decentralized exchange, but make sure that you research well about how reputable anyone of them is before using.

If you want to use Centralized Exchanges, I suggest looking for ones with no Know Your Customer terms.  Know Your Customer will be a headache if you some how trigger it or the website decides to trigger it on you.  Look for either Decentralized Exchanges, a no Know Your Customer ATM if you have any in your area or Centralized Exchanges with no Know Your Customer regulations.

I have never traded crypto before.
Cryptocurrency is very tempting to trade because at a first glance it looks as if it is easy to make money out of them.  But if you try it out, you realize very quickly it is not as easy as it seems.

So.  I advise you do not trade at all.  You need to acknowledge the GIANT risks involved first.  The best thing to do particularly as a beginner is to Dollar Cost Average only.
