Which sites you are referring to where you found the offer?
The only site I'm familiar enough is btcgosu, there is also an offer 200% deposit bonus on Stake if you sign up through the link on btcgosu.
This kind of offer is a special offer which can be found at some affiliate site such as btcgosu, it is a legit offer if you ask me.
About the terms, I'm not sure about the wagering requirements or other terms about the bonus so better to ask the site where you found the offer.
About the other bonus such as monthly, weekly, etc at Stake, I believe this bonus is for all players no matter where do you come from (through referral link or not).

You can't just signed up on stake.com and use those feature you need to activate it with the deposit, if you deposit then you unlock it. I have signed up on stake.com but weren't able to use it except I would have to make deposit, however, those sites that advertised some specific amount of bonus that looks attractive to me I would say it's another strategy to get people signed up on their site and most of them are so strict and you must some required level before you would unlock those feature it could be either by reaching a specific amount of deposit before you could be allowed to have that access. I think there is actually a massive decline in Stake's weekly and monthly bonuses.
To simply have a high rank is not enough but it will still boils down to your wager amount for the specific period. It’s the total bonus amount plus the deposit amount. So if the welcome bonus gives you 200% of your deposit then you should wager your balance + 200% of it to x40 or whatever the requirements is. It’s always like that when it comes to welcome bonus.

Actually, that's also new to me.
In the past stake never offered any deposit bonus, and I mean never. Guess they took a page of many fiat bookies and added this for some affiliates.
Bonus terms on the other hand of having to wager 40x is quite a high number. I remember for example the 100% deposit bonus on bet365 was always like 3x the deposit and 3x the bonus for sports bets, which was quite fair. Odds had to be minimum 1.5 though.

Don't know if they changed those numbers.

If you deposit 500$ and have to wager 40x seems high but thinking about it if you play dice at 1.01 odds with 98% wining chance you can wager 20000$ with an expected loss of around 200$. So there are 300$ left of the bonus.
Not sure though if low risk bets are excluded from the bonus terms, this might be the case.

Most times you get some restrictions to get such bonuses. For example - once i lost $500 because i couldn`t withdraw money first week and i didn`t read about it. In different situations different restrictions. The Stake has his own loyalty and bonus programs, so no one can make them to use bonus system that you like.

Well, your input doesn't clearly answer the question you quoted, in fact, i am struggling to understand what you really meant by what you said, but all the same, one thing I personally understand with the issue of bonuses that are not officially mentioned by the casino itself, but it's been advertised at some site somewhere, is that, there is what is called customized bonuses, that is, if you are affiliate of a casino, and you want to seriously promote that casino on your channel or website, and you want your subscribers and visitors to really use your link to sign up on that casino when they see your ad, you can request the casino to prepare a customized bonus for you, where as you are the one funding that particular bonus, and any one who registers on that casino using your link will receive the bonus, in the end, you still will make the money back from all the money the player will wager on the casino, since the casino will be paying you a certain percentage of all the amount wagered by those who joined the casino through your link.

I believe this should be easy to understand.
