We keep talking about gambling addiction and how bad it is to become addicted, does it mean that addicted gamblers lose money all the time? Do you means those guys doesn't win anything at all? Can they not be lucky to win jackpots?

These gamblers also won huge amount of money, but the problem why they tend to be addicted was due to uncontrollable habits. Several reasons was linked towards this problem, and it has been rising to the maximum tolerance where it became worst.
When their mindset is always winning, nothing will improve but the addiction kepts burning and became a recurring behavior and losing is likely to happen again and again.

Addiction to gambling is mostly about your inability to control yourself, not about the number of times you win or lose from gambling. Somebody can win a lot and still be addicted to gambling because they are not satisfied with whatever amount they win, and they keep going back to gambling without even giving themselves a break,  while someone who loses, can be addicted to gambling because they do not know how to tell themselves to stop even when they are losing amounts of money that they cannot afford to loose.

No, they become addicted because they could have win big and wanted to replicated it and have that same feeling. So it's a cycle, you win huge money and jackpot today, but then you don't stop and come back the very next day, and then what happens? You lost everything including your capital.

And then you go back again, with another money and play the same game over and hope that again, be a big winner. Later, you can't control yourself anymore, and you don't know that you are now falling into the gambling addiction and now it's harder to quit.

Not really though. Being addicted is not all about lossing always in gambling, what addiction entails is that it drives you nuts to the extent that you don't have self control. For instance an Addicted gambler may decide to win 5 to 6 times a day and may decide to continue gambling untill he loses all what he has won. If a person is not addicted he will win a game and stop gambling to avoid much loss. But is such person is addicted he will win and continuously play till he is left with no chose than to lose it all. That is why people preach about addicted Gambler. What is the essence of gambling when you win big and lose it all, all because of addiction, it is better off not to gamble, than gamble and lose on a strict.

This is exactly the problem an addicted person has, living and wallowing in the same imagination and thought as you just presented or described.  If a gambler continues to think that he will one day win a major jackpot that the winning is a must then that's exactly what's going to happen to him when the loses start coming because in order for you to get the wins you must actively play your bet and whenever you feel the urge to stop that same thought play back on head saying "what if this is the right time to win" but the truth is its always a two sided affair.

Oh they win. Just that they lose it all the same later on. And whatever they actually win, it's usually from the debts that they've accumulate so is it really a win in the end?

And in terms of addiction, it's not a terrible thing because it equates to "losing", as I've said, they win just like any regular gambler. it's outside of gambling that things start to look terrible. Debts, ruined relationships, most likely worsening mental health, depression, etc. Those are pretty much the most obvious things an addict can be affected with, maybe a lot more other worse things really. Addiction is a bad thing because it ruins lives, it isn't necessarily limited to gambling itself (which is how you're looking at it imo).

You know one thing in gambling is winning and another important thing is making good use of your winnings, most people that always end in loss or are always in loss when it comes to gambling, it's not as if they don't win at all when they gamble, but the question is, what do they do with their winnings? Do they make good use of it or do they spend it all back in gambling?

Most addicted gamblers win everyday but due to their addiction, they're unable to walk away with their wins and end up spending it all on gambling with hopes of multiplying their current wins. You'll always see an addicted gambler always chasing losses and even more wins, that's the biggest sign of an addicted gambler, when their wins are never enough for them and they end up chasing for more wins and end up losing everything while in the process of chasing more wins, that's how you know an addict.

No and honestly most of the time it's because someone gambles a lot and wins which makes ypu more addicted.  So I'd like to think winning a ton increasing your odds of becoming addicted.  Amd when you lose all the time that's what will cure your addiction because either you run out of money amd you have to face your addiction or you just get tired of losing.

Of course not. Those who are addicted to gambling can also win. But we don't know when they will win or lose. It happens to us and other people too. 

No one knows who will win in the next round. We also don't know when we will win or lose. Those who are addicted to gambling will find it difficult to control themselves when gambling.

They are the ones who can experience more losses than other people. Experiencing a gambling addiction makes it difficult for them to stop. There is a possibility that they will experience more defeats than other people.

No not at all it's not like gamblers who are addicted don't win at all or win a jackpot but the reason why gamblers are advised not to get addicted is that there is something about addiction in gambling because they can win a huge amount of money and still end up losing all remember addiction means something you can't do without and these set of gamblers are people that cannot leave the gambling office even if they win a jackpot as they will still continue to play till they have exhausted all the money they won so that is what addiction does. It's just almost same as drug addicts because they can never do without it they make sure that every time they are under influence of drugs and their body gets adapted to it so it is to someone who is addicted to gambling because of they win a jackpot instead of using the money on meaningful things they will still prefer to gamble it the next day so that is the extent to which gambling addiction is very bad.

I won't say they don't have the chance or luck to win the jackpot but because they are addicted already, that is disastrous for their life. Instead of winning some, they spend it all thinking that there is more. Because what really happens is that addicted people can no longer think of the right thing to do with their money, they spend it all.

Addicted gamblers win big a lot IMO but they don't stop, they keep playing til broke. Winning and losing has nothing to do with addiction though, a regular once in awhile gambler can win or lose a large amount in 1 session. It's just a matter of will you chase or not chase losses.

The reason you see all this addiction talk in multiple threads in this section is due to the gambling campaigns require a certain number of posts weekly in the gambling sections. Half the people are just posting for a post.

Gamblers make a wage until they win sometimes due to continuously losing their games they want to keep playing more just to earn back those losses. Once a gambler considered addicted I guess its seems its part of their daily routine like they cant remove anymore and they didnt feel complete their day once they played at least. We know how gambling gives entertainment and of course, the chance to win money that's why people seeing the potential of gambling can be a quick flip with just a minimal wage.

There is a victory that is only temporary and ultimately a failure in the lives of those subjects.

If you want to counter the argument, you can point out people who are addicted to gambling and are successful in life.

Like in a 1 hour game round, players can win/lose/draw and experience all kinds of different emotions, but at the end of an entire day of playing, ask if the gamblers won or not? And if that's not enough, consider playing time in weeks/months/years... I'm sure it's a fact that people addicted to gambling will lose.

Those addicts win sometimes but the problem is that those wins don't go anywhere but gambling again and at the same time, those wins that they can get out is mostly spent on other vices, that's why they end up with nothing more and get less money than they should and end up piling more debts plus most of the big wins that they got even they use it wisely, it will end up in the debts and they're useless after all the debt is paid.

I do not agree with your phrase that addicted gamblers only lose money on gambling instead they have a high ratio of winning gamblings.My personal view about this is that I know addiction in gambling is a very bad habit which may destroy some one life and make him poor and create tensions.But these all are negative sides of addiction but what if we look to its positive one I know the positivity are less in gambling addiction but a lesser thing is better than nothing.As due to addiction, a person has a wide range of experiences in the gambling and they won many gamblings, but the worst things is that they did not stop and continuesly doing gambling until they lost all their money.We are only looking to their negative side and ignore them because of the addiction and can't take advantage of their experiences.

That is what happens. When I win a good prize I cashout and log out. Some people, on the other hand, think they are on a roll and don't stop playing. In the end, the more you play, what inevitably happens is that you lose because of the house edge. And also that the house edge has a negative compound interest effect. Einstein said that compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. Now think that it works against you.

Every gambler has different narratives about why they become addicted to gambling yes majority of them win some win a small amount and gamble more to win more and some gamblers win huge amounts of money and want to duplicate those wins and win, when they keep playing they suffer losses and they chase their losses it's an ending cycle, for an addicted gambler even winning a jackpot will not stop them from continuing to gamble because they have found the thrill in gambling that they cannot found elsewhere.

If they are not winning they would have given up of course they do win and because of the misconception that they can make a living from gambling they continue to try and continue their effort to gamble until its impossible for them to get out.

Gamblers losing money will make them come back all the time to take back the losses. That's what they do as being told every time by gamblers, they chase their loss and to win the money back, they keep wagering in hopes of hitting the jackpot of their lives. But even when they get the big win, most if not all are already addicted to the thrills.
