Because most gamblers are men, they are used to suppressing their problems and even plans in their lives, giving space for them to talk and complain about what they have done and or are experiencing is a very good action if we listen to all their problems, but for random people's stories like online friends it will be very difficult to discuss and provide further solutions, because the problem of gambling addiction needs direct attention and maybe we can stop them from interacting with the casino so that their addiction decreases, such as more time to do together, work or something else, it is much more effective if we can help alleviate someone's addiction by interacting directly. At first you should acknowledge and appreciate his zeal to had found you worthy to confide on because it is not easy by then, he would be ignite to tell you more about his utmost addictional challenges.

Let the addicted gambler know that the best acceptable advice anyone will get in life is a self advice because if he is not ready to change but only takes my advance as a common story, you as his therapist can talk to him year to years without an effectiveness of his changes because he has not made up his mind.

Let him know that he is big enough to decide for himself but at this case he has come to you, let him subject to whatever you will tell him and he should not in anyway try to quote you wrong just to justify his mindset because that will be his most challenges being that he will want to find necessary reasons on why he would go back to his addiction again and yet wanting to let go of it.

No! No one has reached out to me about gambling, but reached out to a guy 2 years ago about his gambling addiction, it was obvious. He promised to change and I discovered he changed, although I wasn't the only one who advised him in that regard.

Yes there are some people who consult me about their complaints about the addiction they experience, among them are very sad because on average they lose more money and assets in their lives even worse, like he was kicked out of his own house or divorced with his wife because of gambling problems that he could not control, this is quite complicated because I have never experienced such acute addiction, fortunately at the time I experienced confidence in gambling I was awakened by my own logic about how gambling can run well without harming us.
