So from my recent chats, I haev 2 questions.

First of all, from what I've heard, mobile mining is a complete BS that really does nothing except of wasting your time. Here I was told, taht it is completely okay and can make you thousands of USD, your take?

Second I use OneMiners platform for hosting mining, do you guys know any other mining hosting that is not scamming people? And what are their electricity prices?

Thanks in advance for any tips Wink

Mobile mining is very popular right now.
The pros are many. A mobile phone can be easily sold. Every phone needs a sim card.
There are nuances with the models of mobile phones, but it is not so important.
The cost of the case is $100 and the cost of the 1 phone is about $100. From each phone miners plan to get at the end of the year a minimum of $ 300 maximum $ 1000 and above.

You don't need hosting to do this.

Your exchange and wallet passwords may be stolen, use a separate phone for this type of mining.

I only use Athene network in mobile "mining",there is no real mining in the phone. This is a project from Pi Network which they have not gone live yet for themselves and they have launched this new platform which I gave a try as I thought spending just 3 dollars to upgrade does not cost me anything.I doubt they will ever go live in Q3 to Binance like they have promised so I don't recommend them,I just gave it a try.

There are a lot of other mining apps though which are like you say scams,I see a lot of apps that tells you to mine through your phone for 5-10 minutes and then they reward you in 0.0000001 Bitcoin, any such amount is not doable in the sense that it must be a scam and they, the owners of the app can do two things, either inject you malware (I used Bitdefender premium antivirus) so I am clean from that,or they can bombard you with ads,you win nothing in both cases.

In a short way it is just for fun, not really a serious way to diversify?

I provided links to videos of telephone mining farms, but also cunning engineers use a network of mobile proxies to earn project tokens.
On the one hand, the phone costs $100, and even participation in 5 well-known projects in a year should yield a profit. If not, then the phone can be sold as new.
LOL. Previously, customers asked me if the video card was used for mining, but now they will ask the same thing about buying a used phone. Grin

I just don't see any mobile mining actually working long term. You got phone emulators and one can easily emulate hundreds of phones on a single AWS instance. And there is no way to know for sure whether its a legit user or not. This was tried many times in the past and never really caught traction.

Phones are also horrible for constant CPU use, just like a laptop. Its not a good idea long term mining 100% because you will stress the battery and with the constant heat the battery can swell and explode. Most phones require a battery to opperate unlike a laptop where you can remove the battery and mine directly with AC power.

One thing in this cryptocurrency that scam people is the mobile mining, normally I have not heard of bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana mobile mining apps but I have seen airdrops using mobile phones to mine their token and and most of them do not need 24/7 hours electricity. And they use bot to mine for them and all what they do is to check the figure the bot has mined for every 24/7 hours. They can even off their mobile phones and sleep then the bot would be mining.

If you want to mine desktop or laptop is the best for Ethereum, Solana and Monero.

Colleagues, you definitely didn’t repair phones.
If you leave the phone on charge for a day, it will not explode or overheat, because the phone, laptop and other devices have a device charge controller that stops supplying power when the battery is charged. A constantly connected charger puts additional load on the charge controller.
But you have a one-year warranty on your phone, and perhaps you can still buy insurance for 1 year inexpensively.
This is a great mining because the warranty service will most likely recognize the phone as defective, and you will get your money back or a new phone.

Thats a good point, although you can not be 100% sure, that they won't recognize the phone was used for mining these days...

I'm sure it's going to be very difficult to find out. If a customer brings in many phones with the same fault, it will raise suspicions. The charge controller failure is a very common problem, it can be repaired quickly and the controller is cheap.
