Bitcoin and Technology(BaT)

Giving this thread a topic title was difficult at first, but I was able to do that after concluding the entire write up. Why?, this is because the topic revolves round Bitcoin, Electronic devices, information and the younger generation.

Technology has evolved over the years till this very minute, making it so cheap to an extent where it is affordable to a reasonable number of people, although things for Nigeria dey slightly different. One thing wey dey common among almost everyone na the access to a mobile phone. If you come still observe well, you go notice say smart phones done dey on the rampant, as everybody wan dey use social media.

Internet, for those wey get access to smart phones be like market were so many goods dey(whether good or bad). Due to the availability of so many products, some people must have chosen the wrong side of it while others choose the opposite. I won't want to elaborate on the wrong side, but rather only the good side so I can maintain a good rhythm on this thread.

Some good sides are information, digitization, educational and money making opportunities we come across or we choose to find.

I came across some students on a bus on their way to school. They started discussing about the trending thing in Nigeria right now(Tapswap). I was totally surprised as most of these students might be in primary (dem wear short nicker), but already knew that such things can be swap on exchanges. I decided to ask the boy sitting next to me if he is into tapping. Surprisingly, he said yes. Though the boy sitting next to me confirmed he is in J.s.s 2( at that age, I dey busy dey play Mortal Combat for my button phone).

I b say make I chill, make I no too interfere for children matter, only for this same boy to come mention Bitcoin and how boys dey buy cars with am. I actually admired his level of information, but realized this child needs to focus more on schooling rather disturbing himself with money matters. I had to show him a YouTube video of beginners guide to Bitcoin, and I advice that at this stage of life, he needs to know why Bitcoin was introduced, who introduced it, and also learn the fundamentals of Bitcoin, as the knowledge will be able to guide him to become successful later on when he chooses to go into Bitcoin fully.

From my encountered I shared, you will realize that the ability for younger generation to know/learn about Bitcoin is heavily tied to their access to a smart phones and what they do with it(bcus we know some people wey get smart phones but na only games, social medias and snapping picture dem sabi do). I am not saying that using social media is bad, but at this current level of hardship, person suppose limit em time from non-profitable social medias and find other ways.

What do you think are the benefits of Technology to Bitcoin ?
1. Bitcoin is completely technological or should I say computational. Technology acts as an open door to accessing Bitcoin even after you've been told about it.
2. Technology is a breeding ground for knowledge, where Bitcoin information lies.
3. Whitecollar jobs are gradually losing it's taste especially for wi country, which makes Technology a tool to settling for Bitcoin (whether naa trading, mining, swapping and everything wey get "ING").
4. Technology has been a major contributor for Bitcoin adoption.(i be dey wonder how person wey dey use torch light phone wan take send and receive Bitcoin).
5. I guess the Naija community can also share their own opinion base on the benefits of Technology to Bitcoin so far and beyond.

Digitalisation has improved our crypto adoption, while social media depends highly on what you do with it, which can either be impactful or disappointing to growth, it has been  one major drive how people comes to know about crypto currency.

Though the knowledge they mainly get from it has not really been the actual ones but this is for starters and many of us started from it before knowing the truth through research while some through this false information may has lost alot and made not interested in crypto currency again, this is fewer now  because many are becoming to know the truth which makes  getting the right information easier and now individuals can also get this truth from social medias.

5. I guess the Naija community can also share their own opinion base on the benefits of Technology to Bitcoin so far and beyond.

Actually bitcoin is built on a technology which is called blockchain and it's the first of it kind that has opened doors for so much more.

The growth will continue as more Nigerians can have access to the Internet and also if those around you are into bitcoin and crypto currency, this is not restricted to age and that's why we can see many children being aware of crypto currency, while some of these teens may have already come to the knowledge about how bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency through how vast those elderly ones around them can be and possibly with the Internet.

I am interested on that word. I don't think technology is cheap as you said, because foe you to acquired a good mobile phone to browse the internet is is not easy. And you will spend a lot and now that things are on the high side. Technology is not cheap. But what you said is nice. Technology has made things easy as ever. And the benefits of the innovation is very higher than the demerits. And in my own observation, children know more on NFT more than bitcoin because it look more of art work ND children like art activities.

According to a skit maker, school teach us abc while the street teach us BTC,  and I really like this statement. Bitcoin e don help people well well for side hustling and because of bitcoin the youth  no dey find government work again but hustle to the internet to look for money. And there are different ways one can make money from bitcoin and the technology. Student are using it to sponsor themselves in secondary schools and University. And other benefits. Bitcoin has given us a new dimensions of earning. And new wider knowledge as been given. The technology is rich with knowledge.
