This thread did not gain traction on the forum but Dubois won impressively against Hrgovic inflicting his first professional defeat.






Dubois looked in much better form than he did when he lost to Usyk. He did very well against a dangerous opponent but he was helped with the fact that Hrgovic had a very bad cut over his eye and his vision was badly affected. In the process of vicory Dubois was awarded the interim IBF title which could be upgraded to the full title if Usyk is stripped of the title ahead of his rematch against Fury in December.

Now there is talk of a fight against Joshua being lined up because Joshua vs Wilder was cancelled after Zhang knocked out Wilder. These are exciting times for Dubois.

Right it was a sanctioned fight by the IBF for the interim belt. Although there's a lot of confusion leading to the fight because the IBF says that they will stripped Usyk of the belt just 6 days after he unified it.

It going to be a great fight if Joshua and Dubois will have their time. It's the battle of Briton so this make sense and hopefully they can make it fight. Big money should be in the line here, although I think it might be held in Saudi Arabia as most of the biggest fight in HW are being stage at Middle East with the powerful broker, HE Turki Alalshikh.

There is talk of Joshua vs Dubois taking place at Wembley Stadium in London because it will be an all-British fight. I see Dubois as a dangerous opponent easily capable of beating Joshua. The way he fought against Hrgovic was in stark contrast to the way he fought Usyk yet still he pushed Usyk all the way to 9 rounds before getting a 10 count by the referee. He looks fresh and confident therefore if the fight goes ahead Joshua will not have an easy fight.

What about Hrgovic, he suffered his first professional defeat there is plenty of time for him to bounce back too.
