I am pretty sure that fiat currency will never completely disappear or even if it is no longer used there will definitely be an upgraded version of it that will be introduced and will still be created by the government. So waiting for fiat money to disappear is just a waste of time and meaningless.

I invest in bitcoin and want to become financially free and have a better life. I don't think it's my responsibility to hold on to bitcoins and give them to my grandchildren while my parents, wife and children have to live a difficult life. There will be no freedom if you still live in poverty and don't have enough money to take care of yourself and your loved ones right now.

I also think regular money will still be around for long time and even if it is replaced government will create new version. So waiting for regular money to disappear is waste of time. I also invest in bitcoin to have better life and be financially free. My family needs are more important to me than holding onto bitcoin for future. I want to make sure my loved ones are financially secure and comfortable now. True freedom means being able to support myself and my family today not just saving for future. And if you ask me I also believe in finding balance between investing in cryptocurrency and taking care of my family financial needs today. As you know both are compulsory.

In my opinion, as long as the government is still there, don't ever think of a world with no fiat money, no banks and only bitcoin. And it is not really that the world will become better without government, a world without leaders and everyone is free to do what they want will no longer be a civilized society.

You're right, freedom is when we and our loved ones have a comfortable, happy life, not freedom means we escape government surveillance. I wonder, what do we need freedom and privacy for when we have no money, our family is poor... and can privacy save our family from poverty? I'm not saying that privacy isn't important, but we need to be realistic and aware of what is important and should be prioritized in life. 
I would be an ungrateful son and a selfish father if I decided to hold bitcoin until death while my parents, wife and children had to live a life of poverty, IMO.

You make a sound point, although I believe it’s an unstoppable fact about our dearly beloved crypto space we’ve seen this happen several times, Whales selling off their investments should not deter anyone of us to join them accordingly.

The fact that we call them whales simply means they have to liberty to randomly sell off some investments for whatever personal reasons best known to them which won’t affect them severely like little fishes like us still aspiring to become whales some day.

My advice to us on the thread is to ignore whales movement and maintain applications of DCA, keep our heads up and patiently wait for the upcoming bull run to take us to a new ATH....

You sell your bitcoin for sudden needs because you used the money for your emergency to invest in bitcoin which is bad, and you might end up running at loss when that sudden need arises, especially when bitcoin price is below your entry point, and people like you will panic and sell their bitcoin if the price of bitcoin dips because you will think it is crashing. It is good for you to keep aside your emergency funds, and use only the money that you can afford to lose to buy bitcoin so that you can hodli for long, even though the price of bitcoin is crashing, it would not bother you.

To address your point with fact I'll say Fiat will never be diminished.
Reason: - 8.1 billion people 10% of them hardly use this payment system and you think it'll be less popular. Meanwhile, countries are taking charges not to lead this virtual payment option and you think it'll be less popular. Nah but what I can expect is to gradually increase the ratio and people should start taking it as a method of payment with other options that have a chance for adoption.

Yes, that's what economic logic says. That is exactly why you need a good a job aside your investment that should cover for your needs because a lot of people have had the same experience of always selling their bitcoin before time. Imagine buying at a very high price and selling at very low price it clearly shows that you are selling at lose and that is a very poor business mentality. And people that engage in this kind of act are people that don’t value their assets because you need to plan against any form of emergency so that you don’t sell any of your bitcoins to address your challenge.  Am not really a fan of holding, I prefer trading since I will make profit time to time. And imagine the whales want to sell everything they have it will definitely affect the market. Either holding or trading both comes with their challenges and I feel if you don’t have much money their is now way you can enjoy holding.  Because I have one principle when it comes to holding, to me quantity matters a lot, because the quantity I have will show how effective it will show on my profit.
