it has become a common thing on facebook if we comment or like something, there must be someone who will try to impersonate and invite to join a group or offer something tempting. usually they will offer something that we might be interested in buying or investing in it. that's the reason why always be careful about everything on facebook because there have been many cases of people whose money just disappeared because they trusted these scammers.

If that is Facebook, I will not easily to accepts a friend request which I don't knows. Facebook now has changes and many scammers used it to deceives people. If they are not careful, they will gets into the traps and loses their money. Many scammers use Facebook to offers many things to tricks people, including sends a friend request and they will send a chat and pretending that they are our friend but it is not right. We must be careful when using Facebook and always makes sure by search for more information if someone offers something that looks it is good to be true. We are responsible with all of our social media accounts so we can use it with right. Sometimes, they can uses many tricks that we don't knows so that is why we must makes sure first.

the old-fashioned way scammers always rely on. On the Telegram platform, this happens more often. especially if you join several crypto project groups or channels. You will often get DMs from people on behalf of parts of certain projects. discussing the project until finally offering something related to funds.

Never trust anyone who sends you a message first. offer help or whatever. let alone telling you you won something that you didn't even follow.

OP, thanks for sharing the information. I'm sure this doesn't just happen to you, many experience a similar situation. hopefully, none of us will be trapped.

Nice one, but we need be even more cautious because some of the bogus accounts—known as "blue tick" accounts—have verification as well, and people are more likely to fall for their frauds when they see them. I was able to find out about them because I stumbled upon some similar ones.

I laughed when I read the messages in the screenshots. What are the chances of a celebrity messaging their followers to “know them” lol. It wouldn’t be long before they start asking you to send money or pay for one on one meeting. There are many people who are gullible enough to fall for these scams hence scammers are always trying their luck with however they can find.

Yes, I have encountered these types of messages on Facebook and WhatsApp as well. I don't know how they got my WhatsApp number, but they want to force me to join some links. I immediately blocked them instead of wasting time chatting with them. So, we have to be very careful about random offers on social media. There are a lot of scammers around us. From the leaked data, they might contact us and make some greedy offers. We just need to block them immediately to avoid financial losses.

These scammers are aware that we are headed to another bull market phase and a lot of people/and newbie investors are now very interested and looking for investment opportunities in Bitcoin and the cryptos at large, and majority of these people are novies investors, and they are the main target for these scammers because doubt if a legendary Bitcoiner would fall for these tricks just as you were able to spot this particular scammers out.

Facebook is not the only media people are using today to scam online today. But it seems is one of the fastest and easiest way scammers are using to fraud people. It is very important for someone to be safely minded over scammers on Facebook. So many accounts today on Facebook is not a genuine and real account. Some people that post information on Facebook today are not real. So many female and male faces will see today on Facebook are not genuine. Please if you get or see any post about this forum or any other thing you are genuinely involved, please make sure you contact the rightful source to confirm if the information or post you see on Facebook is genuine.

Facebook and telegram is the scammers den where all these kind scamming messages happened and this has also happened to me, there are time they also used these methods to hacked your account. They would ask your to them your mobile phone number and once you gave them they send your OTP code and they asked you to send it to them then they would use it to hack your account. Social Media is not a friendly place for people and it is very rough and tough so we have to be smart and if not you will be their prey to hunt down.

With scammers on Facebook or any social network, you need to act in the same way to fool them, unless, of course, you have time for this and you are not lazy. If they write about some big giveaway that will supposedly bring in a ton of profit, I usually pretend that I believe every letter from them. But in the end, they end up bewildered when they waste their time on me and get nothing in return except a laughing emoji.

But seriously speaking, social networks nowadays exist only for general information, and in no case should you trust all the noise that happens there. Yes, there are a lot of weirdos out there waiting for quick money, and maybe someone will get some cents, but revealing your identity and being a naive fool, I think, is not the fate of those who read this forum.

That's really funny, actually i can't devote my time in chatting with those fools, whenever time i stumbled to there page immediately i discover that i arrived in a wrong page without wasting much of my time i will just block the page or better still i keep ignoring their messages because i wouldn't want to waste my time to listen to those rubbish that comes out from their mouth, however most of them uses charm to manipulate people once you give them the opportunity, this is why i don't always give them the chance to speak.

This is the reason why I don't use to pay any attention to some crypto messages on my Facebook accounts, because scammers know how to use Facebook to deceive people to scam their money by the information they will get from people.

But if you understand how scammers use to operate in other social media, I don't think you will fall into the trap of scammers because they use to start with somethings that you  know that are very hard to achieve from the industry easy ,but they will promise to bring them to you in an easy way, if you can showcase some personal details, which some people will obey to fall victim.

This is the best way to useless scammers in Facebook, because the op know that the person he is chatting with is a scammer and he chose to respond to the scammer in a way the scammer will know that he is in wrong place.

I just noticed that scammers aren't just on Facebook or social media marketing.
It's in most of the important forms you think are legit online.

Just last month, my in-law got scammed out of his salary, like this person couldn't access it until the salary got in and everything was wiped up.

I usually do not accept strange friend requests because of the heavy scams on Facebook.

And I was also just telling my friend today about someone I know who also posts an account of hers that's always been hacked by someone or someone using her photos to create an account. But there's something so strange about all her posts because, in a very short period of time, she will create another account, asking people to start following the new one, and within some months the account will be gone.

My question is, is it possible for her account to be hacked all the time? Because one needs some requirements to hack an account, how is it possible that your account is always hacked? Because I actually feel she knows about it and just misleads others who are her Facebook friends.

There's no easy way to get money; we all should always ignore it because it's too fast and easy. Or ask questions.

Actually is very hard to indicate scammers in the social media right now more especially in facebook platform, because they have different tricks to come up with once the first one failed probably they will switch over to the oder one. it has gotten to the extend that they can even do video call  with you using the face of that same person they use in their facebook profile at this point you will think that they're real. That is why is very hard to indicate those scammers who are professionals in this scamming Field, so we just need to be extremely careful with those social media platform.

New scammer  Grin

Face also not real I also found most of the people in social median special of facebook who increase their page and profile with same fake like and followers by bot and try to scamming with people.
What I learned, and it’s always helped me, is that you shouldn’t trust anyone you see on social media. Most of the accounts that you see and think belong to influencers or celebrities are fake, the profile picture of the account won’t match the real person operating the account. So when you receive any message on your social media and the message is from someone you don’t know, you have to be very careful when responding, they might just want to scam you.

Also, if you receive a message from an influencer person on social media seeking help, just know that the account might be compromised. When you are on social media, don’t trust anything you see.

Nothing to add up here, almost all messages came from random stranger asking for help, or offering help on social media facebook, twitter X, instagram, etc. are 99% scam. Especially from a profile with trading or investments related content on its timeline.
In OP even it looks like nothing based on its messages but after the block after saying the profile is a scammer is a 100% confirmation that the profile is a scammer. So just be informed.

Recently I encountered this scam attempt on Facebook.

1st - I liked a Facebook page on Facebook, which this Facebook page is a content creator that talks sometimes about Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin.

actually I am not the type that will like anyone even if I am interested in anyone that I dn't know personally ,  instead what I am doing is saving their site and try visiting and checking them each time for my own safety  and don't wanna flood my social media by various personality that I am not close to.

Be careful everyone, always verify and check. It's difficult to trust anyone on the internet.
why not extend the conversation and pretend to be a possible victim so you can find more about this scammers and maybe to bring them to the authority so they can act accordingly hehe.

Social media platforms like Facebook,Twitter,Instagram, telegram and so on has become a home where scam rate is increasing on a daily basis. As crypto users we ought to be guided when dealing with how we like, share and comment on pages that are owned by scammers.Impersonation has always been a strategy used by scammers to scam vulnerables online by faking their identity to that of another person.Op what you did is what I would like to emulate once I notice a scammer in my dm, it's best you let them know that they are scammers because when you look unaware they'll keep persisting but when you are aware they'll also notice that you're aware and they'll backoff.

New scammer  Grin

Face also not real I also found most of the people in social median special of facebook who increase their page and profile with same fake like and followers by bot and try to scamming with people.
this is normal routine now mate for those popular personality/figure that has pages and groups
that those scammers and hackers are checking for those new comer/follower to be the target in their
victimizing .
have this same experience most of the time but my account is full private so when there are incoming messages will go to my archive and my spam , and once I detected then will automatically
goes to my blocking but will report to social media first.
Nice one, but we need be even more cautious because some of the bogus accounts—known as "blue tick" accounts—have verification as well, and people are more likely to fall for their frauds when they see them. I was able to find out about them because I stumbled upon some similar ones.
yes, that blue label in facebook is more important to check before dealing because scammers will
not spend that amount just to scam people and be banned or blocked sooner when reported .
because they can easily be blocked if there are active members to report them.

You're right, you're probably messaged through the filtering of that scammer about the likes in that particular. They're basically social engineering you to make sure that you're letting your guard down and make you think that they're a legitimate entity and that they'll be able to help you with what they can offer to you at least that's the goal for these scammers when they're doing social engineering, you did the best thing of confronting them head on and calling them out on their bullshit, that way, they know that they're going to be wasting their time on you. I just wished that you did something more interesting to this situation, I mean it's such a golden opportunity for you to waste the time of this scammer and to troll them into thinking that they're almost getting a payday and then you suddenly reveal that it's all a fake, maybe it's just me, I mean I've watched too many KitBoga videos and streams that this is the first that popped into my mind, I just think that it would be really fun.
