BitcoinTalk's Euro 2024 Predictor pool Sign up thread

I should have paid when I said I would, now fees have gone through the roof and I will have to wait it out for sometime before I can officially join in.

While we are on the topic of a higher buy in, I will be all for it too, except some people have already paid and should not be forced to make two transactions with two separate fees.

I see brackets can be edited, so I assume that is allowed to tinker before the tournament starts and hopefully, the link we are sending will have it auto-updated.

If it’s a smaller prize pot and we don’t manage to pick up sponsorship then I’d rather only the top 3 get a paid prize or something but that’s just me.

If we don't get many sign ups top 3 will be good, though maybe we could even do winner takes all since it's such a short tournament.

You can just divide the pot by the entry fee to get the number of participants. There are currently 12 so far. As with all pools I can't really give prizes until we know how many people are playing.

Damn, my BTC transaction is still pending. Placed it few days ago already. Who could have though that tx fees spike this high right after I place my transaction.

Deadline is on Friday, right before the first match right?

It's a little bit different than Superbru where you get extra points for picking first team to score and player etc which could make it a lot more interesting. We did it this way for one of the last tournaments. Should we use this one? Might be a bit late but we could disregard the first game if not everyone makes it. I'm gonna message everyone to try get them to put their picks in on that. I recommend tagging everyone who joined this pool so far, so they can get telegram notifications.

There's 0.01313254 in the pot so I will just split it down the middle 50/50 so 0.006 each to the winner of the bracket and the predictor. Or possibly, make it 0.005 each and whatever's left in the pot after fees goes to the winner of the EURO predictor which will be less than 0.00313254. If any one can manage to get a sponsor or maybe even just some free bets we can give those to one or two of the runner ups.
