We thought Mbappe would need a few matches to adapt to the Madrid squad. But Mbappe is a great player, and Madrid coach Ancelotti is very experienced. So Mbappe has been able to adapt himself to this team very easily. The way Mbappe performed against Atalanta was absolutely commendable.

A player like Mbappe doesn’t need time to adapt to a club like Real Madrid. Madrid already has quality players and a talented coach. I knew it wasn’t going to take time blending with other players in the club, and Mbappe played a very incredible match against Atlanta, and he was able to secure a goal in the match. With the squad that Real Madrid is currently having, I knew Atlanta wouldn’t be able to stop Real Madrid from winning the cup, I expected a win from Real Madrid which they did. Congrats to Real Madrid, and with the current players they have, the coming season should be an interesting one for them.

Regarding the new rules, I personally don't really care about it for now because anyway, I will just wait for how the new rules will work next season .If for example the new rules will completely eliminate the great competition as happen  before, then maybe we are also uncomfortable with the new rules and vice versa. But indeed, even if the new rules are implemented, but it is likely that Real Madrid will still be a strong candidate for the trophy because Real Madrid have quality is really very good in all factors.

I am concerned about the new rule because I know that UEFA will never bring something that will not be good to replace the old method of the Champions League; they might have a better idea to make the competition more tough than it was before now and to give room for teams that do fail due to unlucky draws to have further opportunities since the new format is in for of table that will allow all teams in the same group to face each others at least once and there will be no home and away opportunities in the first stage. The other process from the knockout stage remains the same as it was before now.

But maybe,  with the new rules in place and then, mediocre teams will have a good chance of making it further, who knows. Although, basically because the Champions League is the most  prestigious competition, then ofcourse the top teams will still be at the forefront to be the team that will be favored.

It is an opportunity for any team be it small or big team that have good squad depth to move further if they can play well in the competition. It’s clear that each group will have all levels of teams in the competition, from the must hyped teams to the lowr once, so there will no reason why teams with good squad should not proceed to the round of 16.

I have no doubts about Real Madrid's squad for next season, so their chances of winning the title should be higher.

In fact, Real Madrid's squad is not yet complete, especially the back line. Yes, if we talk about the front and midfield, Real Madrid is complete, but for the back line, Real Madrid needs to bring in a new defender. Real Madrid is by far the best team for UCL this year, if it's too early to say this, they have the best squad in history right now, it feels very good to watch them, we are talking about a team that plays a game almost without making mistakes. Mbappe wasn't recognized in the first half, but he seized his opportunity when it came, that's a nice quality for any striker.

The reason why it felt as though he wasn't even on the field in the first half was that he wasn't allowed to play on his traditional position, which is the left wing.. Carlo wasn't even prepared to play without Vinicius jrn or Rodrygo on either side of the wing so, mbappe had to struggle a little bit in that position, having only Bellingham to make circulatory passes to and fro

However, the Italians played well, especially Lookman. Everyone commends his brilliant moves and choice of play. But his nice passes were misused by those he assists.

Lookman isn't an Italian.. just incase you forgot. Zappacoasta was a big flop on the right wing.. he made zero pass attempt and got substituted at the dying minute. However, Baker came in at the wrong time but, was still effective to create 6 counter challenges against Madrid.

Yeah, Atalanta did well with their man marking for 60 minutes. But their consistency fell a lot after that. Atalanta's players can always use man-on-man marking till 90 min. And it helps Real Madrid easily get free space in the second half. And as i expected, Atalanta's players would be exhausted, and it happened after 60+. Their intense mark for a Real Madrid player took a toll on them. But the quality is the main difference here, and Real Madrid beats them with a clean sheet.

Also, Mbappe's goal showed his quick adaptation to Ancelotti's formation and his teammates. The way he anticipated open space, moved fast and shot with his body open. This shows he's confident as a part of Madrid. No doubt people called him one of GOAT.

I personally expected to see Atalanta in great shape and to be a rested team but it was nothing like this and we saw a Real Madrid still having the hunger for perfomance and hunting trophies. It was also clear that Atalanta needs some fresh transfers , especially in attack where they lacked consistence and vision.

Overall , I'm a bit happy for Mbappe because he scored his first goal but I'm also happy for him because he finally won an important trophy for him ( besides World Cup ) and I'm sure he really wants to be UCL champion with Real Madrid.

You don't think the need more player for the next seasons competition. Because i can only see them winning the La Liga and not the Champions League. We shouldn't keep our hopes so high because Mbape is added to the squad.  I think they have good strikers right now and midfielders, but they do not have enough substitutes for their defenders. If there are any injury to one of their defenders, they will go through some difficult times. Dont forget they have so much competition they are in which is why they have to be careful.

There is nothing to wait for and see. La Liga belongs to Real Madrid its just obvious and everyone can see it.

While I do agree that they are the best team in the world, I still think that they will eventually need players for defense, and of course they will need to start thinking about goalkeeper too. While I agree that Militao and Rudiger and Carvajal are great players, only Militao is 26 years old, Rudiger is 31, and Carvajal is 32 years old, which means that while they are fine for now, they will be need to replaced eventually.

Plus Courtois is 32 as well, so while he is amazing as we can see, he will be replaced eventually as well. So that's at least three players that needs replacement in the next three seasons at most, and you can't expect amazing results from a player that comes in on their first season, so they should maybe start thinking about replacement very soon, so those players could start taking some time already, like cup games and unimportant easy league games etc, would make it better. That's why I believe it is going to be very good in the end.

I didn't think and likewise did I expect anyone to think that Atlanta will win Real Madrid in the Super cup finals. I mean, for Atlanta to give Bayern Leverkusen a surprising defeat in the Europa league finals doesn't automatically make them super team to beat Real Madrid who even recently re-enforced their squad.

Talking about squad depth, I don't think Real Madrid should bother themselves about anything again because a team cannot be 100% balanced. It is either your strength is attack or defence. In the case of Real Madrid, their strength is attack, so the defence is good.

Although there are still pros and cons but I agree with you. The new Champions League system will make only the best teams who manage to collect the most points will qualify for the next round. We know that in the past few years when Real Madrid reached the final in any match they were always able to win and it felt very difficult to stop their dominance when they were on top. Atalanta may have had hopes that it could happen again but in a different case here the opponent was a team with the best champion mentality ever.

But I really respect Atalanta that they had put Real Madrid under quite a bit of pressure with their man to man marking before finally in the second half Real Madrid was able to beat them with those goals. One thing is for sure here Real Madrid are still in the adaptation phase with the arrival of Mbappe so they had some difficulties but indeed Ancelotti always has a way of changing the scheme in a short time to be able to change the situation.
