For many years we have been discussing in this forum the harm of gambling when played irresponsibly and the disastrous consequences it causes in someone's life.

The problems are many and are not limited to just the financial problem. Some people ruin their jobs, lose their wives, girlfriends, children and even their entire family, others run away from home or commit robberies to support their addictions, not to mention people who have even committed suicide when they believed they could no longer recover their lives.

From the story you described, it can be seen that the impact of a gambling addict is very bad, he is even willing to sacrifice everything he has, perhaps the worst impact is committing suicide after everything is finished. it's obviously wrong, have you seen the effect gambling addiction has on people? I can't control my surprise at the extent some people can go to service their addiction syndrome. Addiction is very bad. It turns a human being into a moron or zombie too be precise. Its bad, very bad and most of us who've been there before never advises anybody  and wishes no one that shit cos its very messy.

 Gambling addiction is not only wrong, but its a sin against yourself, your family and the society at large. Getting addicted to anything is "wrong" in my opinion.  What's the old adage?  Everything in moderation...  Even positive things like exercise and making money can become addicting and go too far for some people.  If something is interfering with your ability to enjoy life to the fullest of your capabilities, then it is an addiction and should be curtailed.  It doesn't matter if it's gambling, porn, investing, exercising, reading, etc...  Life needs balance to be enjoyed to the most of it's potential.  Getting stuck in one thing (other than Bitcoin of course) can have negative effects on your overall happiness.

Let's  take food for instance. Food is very necessary for any living thing to function well. Without food, we might even die but, this same food which is very necessary for our survival can become a problem to us if we begin to eat a certain kind of food excessively and more often than normal. Same food which is good for us becomes poisonous to our body when we take them in excess through addiction. People get addicted to their jobs, making money, gadgets, movies etc and these addictions often cause negative effects to them. No form of addiction is good.

Gambling addition isn't a right path to follow. "You don't need to tell a matured man to seek for a shade if he's standing under the hot sun"  we all have a natural instinct and, that alone could guide you on whatever you do.

I don’t think that your question needs and answers because it is really obvious for anyone, just like asking if drugs are right or wrong. There’s one answer for this question that 100% of people would agree to say it is wrong.
When it comes to people who got wealthy due gambling, I would surely say that those 0.001% or less of gamblers that got so lucky and became wealthy from winning a lottery or Jackpot, those people they should stop gambling and be smart to use that reward for investment for example.
