Do we really need to answer it while it is clear that most people (including me) is gambling to make money by risking our money?
If there are gamblers who claim themselves as doing gamble for fun only, they are lying to themselves.

2. What steps have you take to see if you can achieve that which you want from gambling?

Nothing, although my main goal in gambling is to make money, I have to specific steps to do it because I know that gambling is all about luck.
What I do is nothing except keep staying on my fund and time limit anytime I start my gambling session.

In fact, in general there are two things that gamblers want, first there are some gamblers who are really focused on wanting to win with the intention and purpose of multiplying the money they bring, and there are a small number of others who come with the intention and purpose of just looking for entertainment when they are having boring free time. Those are the two goals that gamblers usually bring with them, but let's think rationally using common sense about which one is more advisable and better to make as a goal in gambling.

First as we know that gambling is an activity that does not have any certainty and guarantees regarding what will happen at the end of the session between winning or losing, and another fact is that gambling is a business for casinos where a business certainly has the aim of making a profit, and for the problem of winning usually the victory will only happen by chance when luck comes at the right time, meaning that how can you put your intentions and goals of earning in a place that will only be able to give you victory when luck comes? While luck is something that will not be able to come according to our wishes, in addition when luck does not come then it means you lose, and that's why gambling really doesn't deserve to be made as a place to earn, because there is absolutely no element of consistency in terms of producing victory because it will only come by chance.

It's obvious that majority of persons who play gamble are hoping they could double or make extra cash from gambling while few gamble because they want to have fun with either their friends, family,team.... However most persons take their decisions too far in making extra money from gambling and that actually leads to gambling addiction or irresponsible gamble attitude which lead to getting broke and losing valuable life property by selling them to gamble. Actually there are times were I gamble for fun with my peers, I could remember when we were still kids how we gamble on football matches we play to make the game more interesting even without us know it's real gambling that is being practiced back then.

i myself gamble just for fun, and don't have a specific goal like other people. because i don't want to expect too much from gambling and don't want to set any goals for it. i only gamble when i feel bored and stop when i feel like i'm not getting anything out of it.

I really just play gambling for fun, and if I win every now and then, of course I'm thankful because the casino platform allowed me to win whether it was luck or not. The only important thing for me is that I enjoyed it.

Although sometimes it also crosses my mind that it is the luck of the one who got the jackpot in gambling, I never felt envious. Of course, gambling is unpredictable. And since we don't what will happen when we play, its better for us to have some fun on it, right?

TBH, I also have the same question as you to myself, it happened when I got a win from max win at Gates of Olympus and in the same hour I also lost all my winnings. So, what exactly is my goal?

Chronologically, what I wanted was entertainment, when my game became a game where there were lots of losses, I changed my orientation to seeking profit. And when another max wins came, I didn't immediately withdraw it and instead continued my game. So, what's the conclusion? It's easy for me now, it turns out I need entertainment from playing slots and also need profits from there.

Sure this is a good gambling strategy that won't lead to addiction or even greed. Picking 2 odds alone to double your money is also a good strategy but most person tend to abuse this strategy by gambling with extremely large amount so that their wins could be valuable. I admit that at some point in my gambling journey I might have acted a bit greedy with my stake to get huge return but eventually it came out a lost bet, but that's not the whole point, the most important thing is that I learnt from my mistake and took responsibility that the fault was from my inability to follow rules which I have set, and since then mistakes like that haven't been repeated.

Winning makes me feel good and that's what matters whenever I gamble too. I see gambling like every other game where players either win or lose, with cash as a reward for winning. No one wishes to lose in gambling, including those who claim they are only gambling for fun. Personally I'm more into entertainment but I won't be hiding the idea that there are times I am hoping for a huge win, like who doesn't? It is a normal expectation to be honest given that you are putting your money on the line and embracing the risk. What's bad is to rely that much on this activity and to bet chances way too much. There are people who made good fortune in gambling but as we all know, we have different fate to walk through. They might be lucky and there's a possibility ofcourse for us to have it as well but never be too eager and push things too much.

Bigger the expectations, bigger the drawbacks if things won't be met. Manage the risk and your assumptions on how things really work in gambling. Practice being contented with small amount of profit 'coz if big profit is for you, then it'll come eventually.

That's right, making extra money from gambling is more of an addiction that they will find it difficult to get out of once they are caught in the cycle of gambling addiction. Also, only a few people can gamble for entertainment purposes only because gambling involves profit, of course, this makes many people think that they can make extra money by gambling, but it only puts them in even bigger problems because it will make them addicted to gambling.

With them already trapped into addiction, of course there will be bad effects that can occur such as actions that are at great risk involving borrowing money or selling property owned even worse stealing which can harm others. i myself gamble just for fun, and don't have a specific goal like other people. because i don't want to expect too much from gambling and don't want to set any goals for it. i only gamble when i feel bored and stop when i feel like i'm not getting anything out of it.

Yeah, I can honestly related for this is how I also play for most of the time, but this is only for when you are really not concerned; like you are just playing to get away from boredom.

But on the other hand, there are also times when you feel anxious for the win, most especially if you are someone who really have never experienced what winning up to $5000+ from gambling feels like, and somehow, you encounter one or two persons who seem to have won this amount or even more effortlessly, it makes you want to ask yourself why you aren't winning like them, or is there something you are doing wrong? Or maybe you are not serious like them and so on.

Gambling should be for fun quite alright, but like I've said before and will always say, there is no fun in losing money, the fun in gambling is that you are winning, it makes one happy and installs the zeal to keep playing.

I was actually confused of what exactly to answer myself, I wasn't sure if money was what I wanted from gambling, or whether I was just playing to have fun, or whether I was gambling for both money and fun.

And honestly, I am still confused, because I've thought of money being what I wanted, then "what is my actual target?, what amount will be enough?" is the next question I asked myself, and I realized I didn't actually have any amount in mind, and this made me conclude that money wasnt really what I wanted, but it's not fun either, cus I cant have fun if I am not winning, like I would always say, " there is no fun in losing money".

Bro, don't forget that times before now, you have once argued in other topics that gamblers are gambling not because of fun but rather to make money. Like you will always say, "no fun in losing money," that's right, but what is notable in losing money in gambling is how often you gamble and how much you are gambling with. 

If, for example, you gamble three times a week and only spend $10 each week, in 48 weeks (one year), you will spend $480. If you are earning $380 every month, that is $4,560 per annum, minus your total money that was gambled off, and you will notice that it is not really having a huge impact. 

But there are people who are losing more than that per year while they are not even earning up to that amount per year. These are people who really gamble for more than just fun, but rather as a means to earn more money. 


Why did I get into gambling in the first place? That was because I saw my people making money with it, and I thought it was a means to earn money, so my friend started to put me through. I kept gambling because I wanted to get lucky and make a little money most of the time. I had little or huge wins that were helpful to me back then, but if you ask me why I am still gambling today, I will tell you it's because I want to have fun (winning is not the top priority) .

I have said it before that I have friends who are deeply into gambling, and sometimes they will book a game and send the code to me, asking me to make sure I stake a huge amount because the game will definitely go as predicted, but I don't really get moved by it again. Yes, pretty much this. I gamble because it boosts my adrenaline level and makes watching a match more exciting. So, when I bet on a sports event and I start watching it I feel that sensation like there's something on the line for me. It makes me more of an active participant. It's similar when I play poker. Playing without money isn't fun because you can fold whenever without any consequences, but when you know there's a blind and every time you fold early you also lose money, it makes the game more interesting. Suddenly people start to really give a shit and care for every hand.

Earning and fun everyone chooses either of these two. I use gambling as fun but sometimes it takes me out of my control without realizing it. Today I gambled at first it was fun I was smoking and listening to music and playing blackjack on my laptop. I started with just $16 and from Win it's $67. Later I got more excited and started betting bigger amounts to win more then it dropped to $8 then managed to get to $48 again and it went to Zero as I continued to gamble.
