For so many years now, a lot of football players more especially the dark skinned ones have been racially abused both in their domestic leagues and other international competitions and I now begin to wonder that is it bad for everyone irrespective of their race, language and country to do things together with one another without condemning each other?

It has been on record in football that players (especially Africans) face racism while playing for some European countries. I was thinking that the hate was only on Africans but with the development I have witnessed in the case of Vinicius Jnr even though he is a Brazilian have made me to understand that it is just a total hate on the black people.

In the past we have also recorded some racial abuse on some African players like Samuel Eto'o, Thomas Nkono (Cameronians), Iñaki Williams (Ghanian), others Africans who also suffered racism includes Nico Williams, Mouctar Diakhaby, Frédéric Kanouté, Yaya Touré and so many others.

 But the black people don't condemn the appearances of the whites so why the so much hate? It is that we all can't live together happily and proffer solutions to world problems without facing racial criticism? I want to know the reason why the Blacks are mostly the victims of racial abuse.

Racism has always being there since the days of our forefathers, and I thought that this our generation will be able to overcome it. Neither do I know that it will still continue but can only be reduced because it is now frowned at by everyone, because it does not promote unity.

Envy and wickedness leads to racism, because the white man is not happy that the black man is having the same priveledge with him, since the back man is not from his country. In football, I will say the white guys are angry that the black guy came to their country to make money, firm and history. If not why the racism in football, when most clubs have black players that they are always training and playing with often.

I admire the example of Vinicius from Real Madrid. Facing great pressure due to racism, he has not been silent and has called for a solution to this problem. One of the best players today, he does not give up and continues to win!

racism is something that is ingrained in today's society, especially for white people who feel superior to black or asian people, it will be something that will continue to happen in sports. we can't expect that racism will disappear, but at least we as the younger generation must be able to set an example for the next generation not to act racist towards others, and that should be able to reduce the number of racist acts, especially in football.

I'm not sure, but it belongs to a group of people who have a false sense of morality when expressing discriminatory attitudes about skin color/gender/region,...

I know a lot of people who support equality and that inherently is a necessity in society, like we cannot be completely pure as there will still be false perceptions for us to know about what is wrong. Anyway, I'm seeing some very strong players proving their talent, imo I like Vini and really believe he will conquer many titles in the future.

CR7 is one I find being fond of that. I may not actually say he's a racist but he has acted as one on some occasions. He feels intensively annoyed when an opposition team member who's a black approaches him when he misses a goal opportunity or some tense of being obstructed in the pitch. He'd always hit in the black he's aggrieved about either with his shoulder, his head or using the football.
And everyone would just say that CR7 deserves to be respected cautioning the black not to retaliate.
Although I feel he's just a high tempered footballer.

I love football but its sad to see football fans are one of the most racist and toxic fans among any sports. Football indeed is an amazing sports and people might have feeling of nearness to the club or team they support but it don't satisfy the violence and racial slurs the fans generate.
This is more significant in Europe, all of it, including turkey, Latin America and Indonesia.
Football has been associated with disciplines and many players losing their entire career due to simple violations but its absurd to let the fans do such activities without consequence. Teams with toxic fans should be kept under large police presence and any racist remarks should be reciprocated with custody and subsequent fine.

Yes you pointed allot that leads to racism, just as you said it has existed over the years , but how to eliminate it now is the major issue no matter how people kicked against it those that has it in their blood stream always show case it , the possible way to stop this racism mostly the white towards the black especially the third world countries like Africa as racism is not only seen in football but in other aspect of human dealings with the white, is for our leaders to stand out and stop some over dependent on the white build their Nation to standard and Begin to do things that will also attract the white to domincide on Africa not running to the white always for leisure .

The pattern of leadership should change when Africa is working the white government will respect the Black and the citizens will also do same because most practice is coming from their government view on Africa or the Black, this is as a result of how we the black has even kept our selves before them we need correct it by doing all thing that show the are not more than us by way if building our nation, to attract them too.

I think that rasicsm problem in football isn't such big as it was 20-30 years ago. Back things were really terrible. Now it still exists and I doubt it will extinct anytime soon. But I think it's not systematic problem, it's not that all 50k people in stadium is making monkey sounds or something similar, usually it's few  people in whole stadium who is acting stupid. And unfortunately, our society is full of stupid people

The western world has been this kind of attitude not just now but it always has been not only in soccer or in sports but in everything they have been cornered and not given the chance they needed just because they are black or any other race. There is no way to justify this action but people need to evolve and that should be taught by their parents teachers and maybe in ht next 20 years we don't see such things.

For me I feel that racism is not only experienced in football as it is as old as mankind because right from creation, the whites always feels so superior to the blacks and that is why the blacks has always been under the white people for a very long time, they see black people as inferior to them even in the world of football where it is mainly visible and it's not only about players and fans but even the football body FIFA can't completely exonerate themselves from being racists because more blacks have been in good performance in the world of football but in several cases they are being denied the balloon D'Or and even now that a lot of speculations and analysis have been going towards the favour of Vinicius Jnr but however, they will still find a way to deny him the award simply because of his race.

It is important for us to understand that the blacks have made good impacts in the economy of the world at large so they shouldn't be bullied or underrated instead let's appreciate their creativity and make them feel welcomed wherever they go to and wherever they find themselves.

Racial discrimination cuts across every sector. It happens at work place, worship places, government houses and almost every organisations. That of football seems to be more evident because the whole world is watching at the same time. I actually don't know the origin of racism but I believe it is connected to ignorance and illiteracy.

With the emergence of many laws and rules about racism. I believe it will gradually fade in coming years or decades. In football racial abuse can happen to anyone. I was surprised when it happened to Saka and Rashford.

I think it shouldn't be about laws and rules, I doubt that you can teach people in this way. It's more about education of people. If 30 years ago rasicsm was kinda accepted among some groups of people, now it's not ok and I would relate with globalisation, people now is way more open minded and tolerant. Unfortunately, rasicsm is still a thing..

Racial abuse has been one of problems affecting European football, and I think the black players are the major victims, I remember when Dani Alves was thrown a banana from a fan in the stadium crowd when he was about to play a corner kick during a Barcelona game, he picked up the banana and started eating it, that action really became of topic of discussion that period. The solution to racial abuse in football is to give adequate punishment to racist, like giving them stadium life ban to any offender. Racial inequality is strongly condemned in football at the moment in any part of the world.

From my little experience on how the soccer games and other sport games are being played, i don't think there is anything to identify out from them as under racism or so, if we are to take considerations on some of the major teams, there you could discover they have both the combinations of white and black players, these are clubs we are talking about, except for countries, also looking to their pay rate, i don't think there is anything to call as sentiment in the way of their payment structure, its by how skillful and prolific the players are they were being paid.

Being a victim of racism for being black I've seen more at soccer matches most of the time. I've seen Vinicius Jr., one of the best players in the game in multiple seasons, suffer more racism. It's not just football, with several regions in America highlighting cities like Ferguson, Missouri and Baltimore, Maryland as places where systemic racism against black people is a big problem. It has become a racial problem, such problems cannot be solved very easily but we could not start the fight against racism in all the countries of the world. It's not just about being beautiful, the world will be beautiful to you if you have a beautiful mind.

i agree that education is key to stopping racism across all fields, but it shouldn't only be confined to schools and other educational institution, as they sadly also foster racism.
change needs to start from our homes and personal circles, we all share a responsibility to educate ourselves and others on the importance of being open minded and accepting of others.

Racism does exist in every sports and every industry but there are some population who couldn't do much about it but then comes sportsmen and celebrities or someone who has power to do or say something they should raise this concern immediately and name shame the perpetrators only then this racism will stop and it will take a generation as we have to raise children right from tender age by making them understand we all are equal and no one is superior or inferior as it has to be eradicated from root which cannot be done but strict measure and punishments against it will reduce the incidents.
