From the title of the topic it's clearly that I'm someone who considers gambling a fun activity but I can't ignore the fact that for some people gambling is quite profitable as well. I'm referring to very lucky ones as that some people because most of the gamblers get inspired after hearing their stories.

I've made some profitable bets especially in sportsbook but I won't consider those much profitable because the bets I have placed were of low value and that's why the earned profit was also low. Most of the profits were with very low odds and that's why I just ignore those profits and enjoy the fun part of gambling.

I must say that I'm not among those lucky ones and haven't yet made huge profits in gambling but I want to know that do we have some of those lucky ones on this forum who have made exponential profits in gambling? If yes then kindly share your gambling story to inspire others.

Mine is no because I have made exponential losses in gambling until I started to gamble just for fun. A friend told me one thing and I also noticed it, if you bet with low amount of money, you will win but if you bet with high amount of money, I guess you will be less reckless and you will want to choose the better odds but you will notice that you will lose it. Recently again I use small amout of money on a 2.02 odd game and I won it but I can not use huge amount of money for it but go for low odd and which losses is also possible with. If you are gambling with small amount of money and you are winning, continue with it, do not use huge amount of money to gamble.

Absolutely.
Gamble is fun and same time it's serves as a means of encouragement to most gamblers. Gamble also gives some gamblers the opportunity to win, essentially those that are lucky to win huge money that can change their life. Although gambling is not a means of making money, that is why gamblers don't win overtime. Luck make the winning happen, if i am not lucky it means I can't win, it's only luck that provides the winning. Gamblers that wins big money are not much because it's a lucky based thing, when luck is not enough we can't win huge amount. In most games in gamble, predictions helps the gamblers, when it comes to soccer, the gambler need to know how to predict and also pray to be lucky so that he could be able to win. But on dice, it's purely luck based games, you can't predict it and from my opinion, there isn't any pattern that one could us to win if luck is not involved.

That sometimes is so rare to happen I can count in my hands the times I won and I cannot remember the number of times I lost, the profit potential will just come sometimes at a time you expect it to happen, so it is always advisable to just play and let the win comes, just welcome it.

And if you win a good amount learn to quit so you can at least say that you have a good number of winnings even if you win and try and not quit and you lose all your winnings it will not count as winning.
Winning is when you cash it out and enjoy it.

If this thread was created early this year my answer would have been similar to yours - but recently I have been experiencing lots of losses and the amount u have lost in these periods have so much surpassed the amount that I have won throughout.

I am a small gambler, I tend to put only little money in my account for gambling but recently I increased it (deliberately) so that I would be able to learn how a site works and it ended up costing me my entire bankroll. But the most important part was that it was all for fun and none of them were really meant for earning.

Yes, of course gambling is a lot of fun and can even be profitable. I often gamble and place bets at sportsbooks because every week I always watch football, it is not uncommon for me to make a profit from these bets. Gambling within reasonable limits is fun because we can still control our emotions and can still control our finances. However, if when gambling we cannot control everything then gambling will not be fun and will even be a disaster for us, this is also experienced by several of my friends. He was even almost addicted, because he was too ambitious to win bets, sometimes even though there was no league schedule, he would turn to casino games and slots to chase wins.

The point I want to convey is that gambling can be fun if you gamble responsibly, and conversely, if you are irresponsible then gambling will make you stressed.

Let me break it a bit down for you.Most gamblers when they start winning,this is the most dangerous time as they are enticed by such winnings and such winnings they come in the beginning usually from sport bets as most gamblers start somewhere in sport betting,you won't find any gambler who does not know sport betting and jump straight to roulette or slot machines.Therefore I think that the very lucky ones do not exist in the long run,for this I have solid proof,I have seen people hitting max win on reputable casinos and come one week after begging for a tip as they were broke,this means that they can't resist the need to come back to ask for more and they have not won irrelevant amounts,they have hit sometimes up to 80.000 dollars which in many countries even in developed ones is 2 years of a net payment while in very developed countries 1 year of full payment so gambling is a fun activity but can become a fatal obsession.

You are not wrong. Winning is not when someone win a bet but when they cash out the money and spend it on something. I have several winning but I hardly cash out because most of the money I won I later lost it. They are small amount of money which I can not even think about at all. But it is good to know that gambling is for fun but I do not see it as a potential means of making profit at times. This is what some people will think and use high amount of money to gamble. When they lose is when they will know that this is not true most of the time.

First of all, I won't call them profits but prefer the term 'rewards'.

I am a casino player which rules out the low odds and I don't really take RTP of game into consideration because it's just an average and if I am unlucky it is not going to make them any better so I just go with the flow but also I keep it under the control of making bets with less amount that gives the fun adrenaline part of gambling.

I'm speculating that you mostly bet on the favorite that's why the odds are low. But it doesn't mean that it's a guaranteed win everything. There were even one thread here about a gambler who bet on 1.01 odds and still lost a million dollar bet. But that is your strategy and it seems to be working for you and the best part is that you enjoy it so why not?

That is ok, not saying that you are not lucky, but the risk that you are putting is small so the reward is small as well. Nevertheless, there are a lot of gamblers who have the YOLO mindset. I don't think that gambling stories could inspire others though, what might work for you or what you experience winning big might be very different from others.

When you bring luck into it, you realize that the probability of being the lucky one to make life-changing money is very slim to near impossible. The hope that they will be lucky one day is what keeps a lot of addicted gamblers playing and putting a lot of money into it.

You may even be getting your smaller wins cause you are playing under less pressure and staking small amount you can easily spare. When you stake above your means, you get more desperate with each loss and it begins a cycle of constantly trying to win back the money you lost and losing more.

Of course there is a chance to win in gambling but it shouldn't be seen as something realistic.

Have fun, pursue passing some time, your goal should be to stay and not go bust immediately taking stupid risks. At least if you are after fun. You will be having a good time and if you win it's an added bonus.

I wouldn't really consider profitable to be the term, that just pushes you to the idea that gambling CAN be profitable. It generally isn't and I'd just consider anyone who actually won it big to be similar to those who won the lottery. Not really realistic enough to be called profitable.

Anyhow I highly doubt you'd hear from most people. Generally, anyone here doesn't like sharing big wins. There was one user here who shared his results betting on some sort of strategy and he hit pretty big odds a few times, he was playing on a casino that uses CLAM iirc.

Usually, the ones who wager a huge amount are the ones who have greater stories than we who only wager less than $5 in a single bet. If I just consider a large amount to bet and hit big, I would have a bigger story to tell. But I have tried wagering a considerably big in my view but failed.

I'm already happy making $50 in a few days of betting on sports and then losing a few the next day. But improving the analyzation of the matches every time I think is fun to do.

It's profitable obviously as it obvious money, it depends on how big you are willing to risk in any casino games or even in sports betting. Just like your strategy, you only bet small and you are happy with your winnings already.

But there could be gamblers, not saying that they are addicts already, but they risk big money=big reward, simply as that. For me I once do a max bet on my favorite slot machine and it really give me a huge payout, not a bonus or something but just regular spin, a $10 per spin goes to $4000 win so that is a huge profits on my end.

It's a bit realistic but it's not really expected.

In sports betting, of course, looking for the best odds that can win in the favorite team, sometimes we hope to win but don't be too confident that unexpected things always happen even when you lose you will not be disappointed.

Just for fun in gambling activities, but when winning the bet it is a bonus/reward don't expect more.

I don't know if that's the truth for everyone though, some people just have a lot of money with them that they just can't help but gamble and make themselves play big money in gambling and those people probably already know about that fact that you're talking about, some people have the money but they just don't care about anything that comes with it because they're going to be making that money back anyway. That lesson you're talking about, that's going to hit the hardest on the people that don't have a really big income but are still gambling like they've got an unlimited money supply, they're the kind that will have this heavy realization.

I also would like to add that even if OP says sometimes gambling is profitable, that "sometimes" part is lightly used in this context, if you think that you can be part of that "sometimes", you got a thing coming for you, even if you play at the lowest house edge game in the casino, profitability is hard to find.

I'm not a lucky gambler, because I've already lost more money than I won from my gambling sessions. By some time ago I was in profit. It wasn't a big profit, but at least it was something I could cheer about. Then I kept gambling pursuing more winnings, until I unfortunatelly hit a long loss streak which gave me a massive loss which prevented me to continue gambling for a long time in order to allow me to recover my funds once again. That is my personal experience, and as you can see it's not something positive or that I can continue proud about...

Now I've already recovered from my loss, but I'm not careless regards gambling like I used to be in previous years. I'm pretty aware I can't make a solid and fixed income from gambling, so I just gave up on trying to do that. I don't want to repeat the mistake of the past, even though I was able to recover myself. And to say the truth, I feel more inspired by those who faced similar situations and managed to recover their funds and patrimony than by some jackpot winners, since I know this luck will hit only a minor percentage of the total number of gamblers.

Winner or loser, these are the only things that you would really be able to experience towards gambling. Although winner could be also considered if you are really that having that entertainment and enjoyment towards gambling even if it means that you are losing money in the end. It would really be just that depending on the approach because there are people who are really just that playing gambling for the sake of money making and not really that sticking into its basic principle on which is to have some fun. It would really be just that depending on a certain individual because not all would really be sharing up on the same mindset and perceptions towards gambling on which there are those who are really that delusional and there are ones who are realistic and having that good control towards themselves.

It would really be just that a matter of choice on how you would really be dealing up with gambling. It is really just that sad that there individual who do really ends up on having that miserable life

There are people who gambling have actually favored and although gambling is a fun activity, they have been able to make some extra income from it because they are lucky enough to record consistent wins when they play. if you happen to meet one of these persons that has very good luck in gambling, it will not be wise for you to try to copy them simply trying to replicate their success story from gambling because you may end up just becoming an irresponsible gambler who is not still profitable.
know if gambling is favourable to you, and be okay with just having fun with gambling if it is not a fun activity that has a good potential to profit you.
