Yeah, I highly agree with you, one should has to be very lucky in order to win such high amount of profits. Exponential? I don't dare to claim it, especially since we gamble for fun. True, I believe they are lying to themselves, because after all money is everything or everyone always needs money in their life, meaning as you said that they actually feel disappointment or emotions in themselves when they experience a lot of losses but maybe they are embarrassed to express it to others for fear of being criticized by others about themselves who are always far from luck.
