What you have shared is really helpful. Additionally, these are some of the things you can do to check a website’s legitimacy.

1. URL structure when it’s unusually long, most likely it’s not a legit website. Websites that are fishy may have random characters all throughout its url.

2. Be wary of the correct domain scammers may try to create a website that is similar to an official existing one. Always check the correct domain of the official website before you proceed with what you are going to do.

These are again just some and there’s plenty more ways. Remember that scammers are getting smarter every day so should we.
