If Bitcoin can reduce crime, the rate of criminality and kidnapping must have been decrease by now, despite knowing the existence of Bitcoin it was ignore by them, cos they need money to start up the investment, since they don't have enough money to invest and struggling to have money in a lawful way serve as waste of time to them.

 they can't see themselves suffering in the name of making money so they rather continue with kidnapping,  robbery, bribery and terrorism.

Since we no dat lack of unemployment, bad government, and corruption are d major things dat mak people in d community to commit crime, and if d government mak bitcoin legal tender in d community for people to use to do business, I think it will reduce crime in d community. Criminal activities are generated from a lack of work, which is unemployment. We have seen the rate of unemployment increase yearly in our country. As a result of that, the Government doesn't have space for us, which makes us unemployed youths, and we will be looking for ways to survive. That is where some of our youth join criminal activities like theft and internet gambling, which gives them money within a short period of time.

Yes, Nigerian youths are outstanding, some of them are making it through cryptocurrency trading, and some of them are making it through social media marketing and freelancing which are all related to technical ways of earning money that can all be categorized under Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I'm not really sure Bitcoin has turned many youths away from criminal activities though, except when you talk about criminal activities and you're talking about kidnapping, armed robbery, and other physical crimes. Bitcoin in itself is a generation of crimes, just that it's only a couple of people that are smart enough to discover and use Bitcoin in criminal activities ( that excludes direct buying of illicit materials on the internet). Bitcoin in itself is used for money laundering, to find terrorism and many others. I've seen many people who are ' apparently ' into Bitcoin and are criminals, CYBER criminals. It's probably even making them smarter and shifting the youths to cyber crimes.

Well said mate we all know that cryptocurrency awareness have reduced unemployment in our society. But we should always know that Bitcoin is not a get rich quick. We all know most criminals want quick money, and Bitcoin does not give fast results, but from the way I see things Bitcoin can still reduce crime indirectly especially among young people who are looking for better opportunities. If the right education and support are available, many youths will prefer learning digital skills or investing slowly rather than entering criminal activities. So, while Bitcoin cannot stop crime directly, it can give people a better alternative that prevents them from starting crime in the first place.

So if I may ask does Bitcoin create employment and eradicate poverty? Because the last time I checked, Bitcoin does not do any of the two vices you mentioned above, as it is just a decentralized digital currency, made to give use privacy over our funds, and not hand funds over to us when we are lazy. So with that been said, Bitcoin can not eradicate poverty by just buying it now. Though, it's true if any individual who might have bought Bitcoin like 10 to 15yrs ago might be rich today, but during those long period of time, he needs to be doing something that will earn him or her some money to feed with. Which is why it's good to get an job or skill, even why you intend to invest in Bitcoin.
