(Advice Needed) Running A node and getting paid into your Hardware wallet

First the first time in a long time, I was stuck in a decision making with my hot wallet and hardware wallet.

This days we all know that running a node to earn passive income is becoming a thing, while majority of the nodes are profitable for the early buyers, I decide to take this risk after seeing a pal of mine making good amount of money running few nodes.

I decide to buy a node, and I was left with an option to connect wallet to start receiving the node payouts, since this payout can keep going on for years I doubt that my hot wallet can always be with me in few more years since they are more likely to get compromised.

My brain went straight to my hardware wallet, I trust it more than my hot wallet, but here is the thing, I don't want to connect my hardware wallet to pay for the Node and start receiving the payment.

Is this the right calling? Because I always know that not interacting with any platform using your hardware wallet is a good safety practice.

How will you go about this if you are in my shoe right now?

First of all I am not getting you right but I don’t think people earn from just merely running nodes, for you to earn while been a node runner you will have to be a miner and that currently is expensive to set up. So I don’t understand what you mean by earning through running a node. Secondly you don’t buy a node, every system can run a node, you don’t buy a node.

Secondly there is absolutely nothing wrong connecting your own full node to your hardware wallet, it is the best thing for privacy sake. You can connect hardware wallets to even SPV wallets and it won’t cause any problems because hardware wallets do not expose your seed phrase or private key to the wallets you connect them to.

It is only when you import your hardware wallets keys and seed phrase to an online wallet that it exposes it to risk

I hope you are not referring to cloud mining. Cloud mining are scam. Running a node do not have any incentive or reward. Or are you referring to lightning network node?

You can connect hardware wallets to even SPV wallets and it won’t cause any problems because hardware wallets do not expose your seed phrase or private key to the wallets you connect them to.

But I prefer airgapped hardware wallet. You can see Ledger Nano that can send users seed phrase online to their parties. Only airgapped wallet that I can verify that they are truly offline and cold storage if signing message is through QR code.

Node can be utilised for earning some incomes but you don't just get incomes by just running it only...you need to add some spice
Maybe you've been misled by someone trying to exploit you with your money into believing you can make money by just running a node, I don't know the case here but you can check

Probably cloud minning, they might require users to connect their wallet online to pay  in rewards from the lies of renting an invisible minning  power

You are definitely not talking about running a bitcoin node if you are talking about paying for it to start receiving payments, that will be some cloud mining scam which will try to steal from you. To run a full/pruned node you just need a device with the right specifications and regular internet connection.
You can earn running a lightning node with the right set up, routing transactions and having multiple channels, look at this set up^[1]. This has to be specified that it is a lightning node to avoid any confusions.

You are probably talking about altcoins.

Some altcoins allows you to stake and make money from running a node. Bitcoin doesn't,  and this is a bitcoin forum

Buy a node? Are you sure it's not staking some coin or rent a server (where you configure node software manually)? Anyway, you might want to consider moving the coin from hot wallet to your hardware wallet every few months.

Just as other users have said, you have got things wrong if it is a BTC node you are talking about, because you don't buy a node in the BTC network, neither do you earn any monetary reward for running a full node. I think you should clarify your stand here, so this discussion can take a direction, what network are you talking about?
