I must confess, this is actually a brilliant piece you just came up with at O.P, regarding the basic steps a mentor should take to enhance smooth learning of Bitcoin related activities for his/her mentee, as this will go a long way helping many who never knew the best approach for this. However, inasmuch as a mentor may abide to all these terms and conditions, don't forget that it can only take a good mentee who is willing and ready to learn to understand what he/she is been thought. Hence, inasmuch as mentors have a role to play in effective learning, mentees also have a role to play too.

You are absolutely correct, because there are some people that no matter how someone teach them or explain how crypto works, they won't even understand it.

Even if the person tried his or her best of their knowledge to impact it to others, they won't still be able to grab anything or understand anything, it's not really their fault or the fault from the mentor but they are not good or able to understand it and when we find ourselves in such case, we should not force ourselves rather we should look for something we are good at and what we know how to do best, that can be of help for us to understand our potential but forcing ourselves to learn or know about bitcoin might cause us a lot of errors in our lives.

but is Bitcoin an occupation?
CAPITAL YES!
Bitcoin is an occupation and a big one at that, I actually didn't realise it until I came into this forum, I used to picture Bitcoin investment as just a part time stuff that people go into to get extra cash and something people didn't really take too serious, but coming into this community, my eye opened to many possibilities entailed in Bitcoin investment and that it's a full time job and occupation for a lot of people.

For some, rather than adding Bitcoin as a side hustle to support their career, Bitcoin becomes the career and they venture into other areas as the side hustle.

First of all, what's really an occupation?
It's something/anything a person gets engaged in regularly, it could be a profession, a skill or a role, or anything a person gets involved in order to earn an honest living or to pursue their passion, it can also be a way to tell how exactly a person spends their energy and time to achieve a goal.

This explains exactly how most people feel about Bitcoin investment, so that means we can boldly say Bitcoin is an occupation.

Quote
I think rather than wanting a mentor find a coach, a guardian who can help you understand the good knowledge of crypto-currency. Leave the business aspect aside for now till you have solidified your grounds
And I think that's exactly what a MENTOR is supposed to do, a MENTOR doesn't necessarily have to be a self installed title or a name.

A person who does all these stuffs you've listed here, whom you can always confide in, whenever you've got concerns or encounter certain difficulties in the course of one your researchs or findings is automatically a mentor, even when you don't officially address him as one.

I concur to this "phrase willing to learn" as you said, mentorship that I know will only go through a smooth process if the learner abide by the rules and instructions of his or her mentor, different people with diverse way of thinking, there are individuals that does not keep to the terms and conditions of learning, no matter the mentorship they might have gone through, they will still follow their own ways of doing things.
I commend your level of understanding and detailed expantiation of mentorship, when it comes to learning that has to do with Bitcoin, it requires a dedicated and interested person thats ever ready continue abiding to his or mentor's advise, in conclusion, in every aspect of learning, be it in Bitcoin or any other aspect of life advancing skills, the learner has to be a listener and a researcher in other not to deviate from what he or she has been taught.

Having a mentor in the forum is a good idea, but considering their unseen activities outside forum, I doubt if you'll the receiving  the kind of attention in which you desire. Actually majority of us here were forced to make our own research and learn from them, and I think that the best way in learning after receiving directives from the forum. Though learning from someone directly usually simplifies the process of learning but the problem is having a time to spare for teaching.

Is not bad having a mentorship who go dey teach u anything that related to BTC and crypto, but there are many scammers in d internet this days forming professionals and if u fall victim to them u will regret for taking such decision.

I guess u can learn whatsoever u want to learn from this bitcoitalk.org forum, and u will not going to be charged of any money like d way other mentors in some social media use to charge their learners.

If truly, u are ready to learn BTC and crypto without a mentor, I  will advise u to be more focus on this local board and other sectors to learn wen to buy from d market and wen to sell in d market to make profits.

To be honest I prefer make you and your mentor dey very close so that una fit dey relate well, instead of long distance relationship wey fit break or fit no dey effective I prefer make make the person dey see one on one so that I go fit express myself fluently. Though it's possible to learn from distance but, it cannot be compared to when una meet physically. And to find mentor wey fit dey explain things for you well for this forum go hard, because everybody just dey focused on doing their own thing, though you'll definitely learn from lots of persons but focusing on one person to teach you, you'll get lost brah.

U can see d level dis local board has grow to, dat is making other local board to admire d impact our leaders are giving to us here to improve in quality post and things dat will make us to like bitcoin and cryptocurrency,  u can see many people are doing well wit bitcoin investment because dey teach people wen to buy bitcoin from d market to have d chance to mak a good profit in d bull season, u can only find a good mentorship in dis bitcointalk and any impact dey render to people in dis forum is free and people are happy about their mentorship, but if u find mentorship outside dis forum, dey can scam u hoping dey are helping u bro, getting a mentorship is a good thing but don't review your personal details to dem all d name dey are helping u.

Bro mentorship dey very important for here for person wey dey come in as a newbie so that u go fit understand the forum and know wetin to do. But for another area u no go wait for person to mentor you for everything sometimes you fit find out say the one wey u carry ur own gain knowledge go sweet u pass the one person mentor you and na so e go dey sweet u for body come even motivate you to dey learn on ur own and from that na so u go take grow but if u come wait for person to mentor you always abi that person no get wetin em dey do bro learn to make ur own research and rely a little on mentorship na my talk be that.

I know this may not be the response that you may be looking for however I just want to mention that while I agree which you write up, I personally I am a strong believer in peer mentorship. Simply put pair mentorship is learning from your fellow peers in the community without anything formal. For example, I learn from Charles, I learn from Brainboss, I learn from Rockbell , I learn from GiftedMan all about Bitcoin. I read their posts and comments they make about Bitcoin and follow their steps. And when in doubt or need a clarification, I simply ask on the forum and get help from the community. That's what peer mentorship means to me.
