Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but will try anyway. Mods please feel free to delete

I have a bitcoin website BTC
Code:
cointools.org
. I have 1 ad on the homepage that has not been successful. I added a donate page some time ago but there has only been 1 anonymous donation and a couple of other small ones. The website gets approx. 11,000 visits a month excluding bots.

I did try Adsense and ezoic but both of them were horrible and messed up the website.

I am also told I need to get links. I am not sure where I would get links or why I need them other than getting some traffic to other websites. I did reach out to a couple of websites but they didn't reply.

I think the tools are pretty useful but maybe I have silo thinking.

I briefly checked your website and it seems you already do most common suggestion (blog post, referral link and donation page).

I did try Adsense and ezoic but both of them were horrible and messed up the website.

Many website use Adsense, but it doesn't make their website page appear messed up or broken. So it's probably on how you implement adsense or other ads provider. Although i don't know how to fix it other than reading guide or hire someone to do that properly.

I am also told I need to get links. I am not sure where I would get links or why I need them other than getting some traffic to other websites. I did reach out to a couple of websites but they didn't reply.

What exactly you mean by get links? Adding more links on your website? Backlink?

I would agree with ABCbits, many sites have implemented Adsense, so it didn't make a mess and for smaller sites, it's one of the better choices.

You can also directly look for someone who will want to place an ad on your page, but you definitely need to be more recognizable for something like that, as well as have a usability that your potential visitors will recognize. For example, you can start from this forum, and open an ANN thread where you will present your service. At the same time, offer ad space.

If you are already putting up a banner with a referral link, it might be better to look for a lesser-known service instead of Binance, which everyone already knows about and mostly has an account there. The probability that someone will register through that banner is not great.

If you are already setting up your site in the post, why are you putting it inside the code tag, and not directly so that it is clickable?
There are several Bitcoin link directories, so why not submit your site to them, if you were thinking of such links?

Those are good stats to show to advertisers, but you need to post your stats on the homepage or create a page for it to attract sponsorships which to me, is very much suited to your platform

I did try Adsense and ezoic but both of them were horrible and messed up the website.
If the script has no specific placement for an ad space it could ruin the platform so its better to create a customized box for ads this is also to let advertisers know that you are accepting advertisement and sponsorship

Quote
I am also told I need to get links. I am not sure where I would get links or why I need them other than getting some traffic to other websites. I did reach out to a couple of websites but they didn't reply.
When it comes to attracting advertisers, they need to know the stats, and it should be specific so they will know where you generate your traffic and if the traffic location is what their platform needs; so if you're getting traffic from Europe, then contact platforms which target are on the location where you get your traffic.

How does AdSense mess up your website? I don't think Adsense would accept your site without a privacy and cookie policy that is one of the reasons why my website before was rejected if you could add two pages for privacy and cookie policy even if it is just autogenerated they will approve your site.

Have you tried other Ad networks? I know a few of them check Coinzilla, coinad, Bitmedia, and A-ads you can also promote one Casino with your referral link(win or lose it's a forever commission if the player you invited is active).

Most likely this means you are going to need to change and improve the layout of your website.

These links or backlinks can bring credibility to your website. The more websites that feature you, the higher your website will come up in search engines. it might be a bit tedious, but you are really going to need to reach out to a lot of websites so that they can feature yours.

Relevant discussion thread, Experiences with A-Ads (advertising service) or Bidvertiser? Alternatives?. From that thread, it seems A-Ads isn't good option.

I would not recommend Bitmedia anymore, mostly the user experience is quite negative.
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bitmedia.io?stars=1

None of the crypto-friendly ad networks is even close to Adsense, so I guess is unnecessary to talk about Mediavine. If the priority for the choice is not a payment in crypto, I see no reason why it should not be one of these networks, especially if they have approved the site.

I checked your site and also try to confirm the visits to your site and it is around 17K-19K per month which is quite good.

Instead of getting income from the ads network, have you thought of things like affiliate marketing? Since you have a blog section in your site, you can join a few crypto affiliate programmes for example from hardware wallets etc and try to earn money from there. Income from Affiliate marketing is more reliable and also good in quantity as compared to the revenue generated from the ads.

I briefly checked your website and it seems you already do most common suggestion (blog post, referral link and donation page).[/i]

Actually, the main function of the site is the tools. They are available if you scroll down on the homepage, below the binance ad banner and also available via the hamburger menu. Perhaps I need to add these to the top menu as you did not see them ?

I did try Adsense and ezoic but both of them were horrible and messed up the website.

Many website use Adsense, but it doesn't make their website page appear messed up or broken. So it's probably on how you implement adsense or other ads provider. Although i don't know how to fix it other than reading guide or hire someone to do that properly.[/i]

Because the site updates at regular intervals with price information, the ezoic ads filtered through their own DNS and this was problematic. Also the ads from both Adsense and Ezoic messed up the website look and feel. I don't want ads to be intrusive.

I am also told I need to get links. I am not sure where I would get links or why I need them other than getting some traffic to other websites. I did reach out to a couple of websites but they didn't reply.

What exactly you mean by get links? Adding more links on your website? Backlink?

Yes I think backlinks to my website from other websites.

The most important thing for a site is the traffic it generates. Greater number of visits, greater earning potential. 11k is not imposing, but it is not insignificant either.

Thank you for feedback. I will look at some other exchanges that have an offer.

I added the site in code so that i comply with terms and conditions of the forum, that i did not read Smiley so to be safe I just put in code.

Thank you. This is a good idea to create a media page. The website is very specific to Bitcoin while majority of traffic is from US we get visitors globally. We don't promote cryptocurrency in general. We have a very specific audience that I assume is mostly advanced bitcoin users.

That is interesting. What website was that image taken from?

I did try contacting Trezor a while ago to become and affiliate but they never responded. I want to be careful with affiliate marketing because I want to only promote trustworthy projects and I assume I could not test all products. It is a good idea though, thank you.

Those stats were taken from free website traffic checker site https://www.similarweb.com/website/ . There are many sites out there like ahrefs (https://ahrefs.com/traffic-checker) etc. The paid version of these may provide more details and can be useful if you are managing multiple sites.

I think for most of the affiliate programs , you only need to sign up for them and start promoting them your affiliate link through social media or blog / websites. Don't know about trezor but most sites do no require the back and forth communication. Its all automated. Trezor affiliate program can be found at https://partners.trezor.io/ where you need to sign up. Also you may try joining the affiliate programs from Amazon as that one is the best and trustable too.

Affiliate links are not reliable in the sense of regularly occurring payments, but you're going to frequently see a lot of money one day and then go for many days without any income.

You would need to have many such links in order for it to have the semblance of "stable income". They're quite hard to find in the crypto industry, especially if you only cover a specific niche.

11k visits a month is already good based on what I saw on your platform it's mostly tools so it's likely you will have returning users the best platform to promote is affiliate marketing like the one you're displaying right now.

Quote

Color blending and ads placement are important you need to make the ads look like a part of the content, that's what AdSense publishers do that makes them successful, I also noticed that your logo is taking up too much space, logo should be on the header.

Quote
I think the tools are pretty useful but maybe I have silo thinking.
The fact that you are getting 11k visits a month is enough evidence that there are people who use and rely on your tools so think positive.

There are some adnetworks in crypto but they are often paying too low. Not even enough to pay you  $0.10/cpm
A site like this and yet having such traffic seems too good to believe actually. The blog page is possible to monetize but it's rarely updated and you are going to compete with the big news sites out there which are constantly updating every day like the cointelegraph and coindesk.

But what I can suggest is to have a YouTube channel, and do some video updates with articles in your blog. Make it controversial to a point where you can engage the audience.

It could be concluded that it is only possible to monetize the site when it has news content. Which is not true. The most common example is casino aggregator sites, which can do regular updates only based on new promotions offered by casinos, and this happens quite often.

If he is capable of making videos for YouTube, I would suggest that he devote himself to that and look for things related to the monetization of the YouTube channel.
Based on the content on the OP site, I'm not sure how attractive and useful it can be on YT.

So in that case, what do you suggest that revenue from Ad network is more reliable than through Affiliate marketing  Huh
By the way, income through affiliate marketing is always considered a passive income, you won't be able to guarantee income all the weeks and months, it will vary,

I don't know specifically about how reliable crypto-related products are when it comes to Affiliate marketing. However, most of my friends in my circle prefer affiliate marketing over ads revenue and are dealing with non-crypto related things.

Hubspot offers free marketing tutorials. I suggest going through them if you do not understand things like affiliate marketing or backlinks.

Nice website  Smiley
Why did you have issues with Adsense? Adsense is the best thing that you can put on your website, they always have the best PPC rate and their coed doesn't mess up websites. Have you tried Adsense popups? I don't know if they are legit but I have seen them on many famous websites. When I was using Adsense in popup, I was generating 10$ a day with a traffic of 400 user per day and it was a decade ago but then I got blocked from Adsense.
If popups are okay for you, from my experience popunder.net accepts websites easily and you can generate a normal (don't expect much) amount of money with their popup but I also want to warn you that it will be unpleasant for your customers but it will generate money, the choice is yours.

Don't use tools that promise you link building, they usually generate spam backlinks which are bad for your SEO. You need high-quality backlinks and you can achieve that by contacting websites and asking their owners to exchange backlinks with you or by ordering articles on popular websites. From my experience, some guest posts are good too. You can also put your website in your signature and generate some backlinks from this forum but they might be no-follow. You can also try to publish some unique articles on your website, then edit Wiki pages with the new information and put the URL of your website in reference.
