ZkSync airdrop is out

Basically after finally 2 years, they finally released their airdrop. Unfortunately most people will be disappointed.

I had a couple of accounts that I used in hopes of getting an airdrop one day. I started in January of last year, and tried to use it from time to time monthly, I didn't abuse the network by having hundreds of accounts, so today I go and see if I am eligible and turns out "You are not eligible".

This is proof that you cannot take the airdrops too seriously. A couple of weeks ago the Eigenlayer airdrop disappointed many, then the Drift DEX airdrop and now the Zksync airdrop.

Did any of you succeed in getting the Zksync airdrop? I won't post any links, just go to their official website and find the link to Zknation for the airdrop checker.

I did get some, fortunately. I used SyncSwap for months trying to trade spot BTC/ETH for profit. Not a crap ton of tokens but a decent amount that I'm happy of.

As for those who didn't end up being eligible, always remember — In most cases, airdrops weren't promised in the first place, so let's not be entitled(unless you fit under their eligibility criteria, then it's justified for you to complain). All of us simply made assumptions that they would give us tokens.

I did not succeed in getting ZK tokens despite all the activities I conducted and the volume I achieved over the past two years. The funny thing is, take a look at this [tweet], and you will find one of the wallet addresses eligible to receive 100,000 ZK despite having done only 13 transactions, with the last transaction being three days after the snapshot and paying less than $10 in fees. Meanwhile, thousands of people were among the early and major supporters of this project from the beginning, and they made more than a thousand transactions, met the eligibility criteria, and did not even receive the minimum of 900 ZK for an eligible wallet airdrop.  



This makes us all realize that we should not place our hopes in these long-term airdrops, wasting our time and fees on unfair projects with teams that do not give importance to their communities for the successes they have achieved.

Since the airdrop is not good to take it serious then it is better you didn't even drop the link because there is no need. This is the first time I am hearing this airdrop though there are many airdrops in the world right now and every one who has small amount of money like to meet a developer to create one airdrop to the other and most of them turn to be a scam projects.

Mining and farming on airdrops is on the miners risk. When you are mining don't always put your 100% on them because along the line things can change. Tapswap is a popular airdrop in my location but at the end news came to us that it is a scam airdrop so everyone leaves alone.

Yeah if you go to their discord you got hundreds of angry people. People posting their accounts and asking why they aren't eligible when in fact that they do the required tasks.

I am surprised I didn't get eligible when I did in fact provide liquidity for a few months and I also did some NFT trading. Some of the other requirements like doing 5 paymaster transaction, donating to their Github or owning those Libertas Omnibus NFTs were just too rare for most to achieve. I also did way more than 10 smart contract interactions, so no idea what is going on.

I think those that are not eligible and angry at their discord did really spent a lot on their network and that's why they're frustrating. I've seen a lot that are happy and shared their thousands that are on their account and just waiting for it to get traded.

      If you are the type of community here in crypto that hopes to be a participant in their airdrops, then in the end you will not know that you are disqualified, which is actually very disappointing. So, it seems that the only thing that comes out is that I see two that are qualified in their criteria: either the amount you entered in their protocol must be large or you must be using their protocol most of the time, or the amount you put in stakes must be large or farming that they have.

      I also used it because I was bored with the time it took for them to make an announcement. With these airdrops like this, I can really say that it will be really difficult for you to be able to give airdrops to anyone, and then there is no certainty. I'm sorry for the bad experience you had.

Sybils farmed millions of zk tokens. No doubt if you were not eligible. Matter labs is a team with so many idiot developers. Even libertas holders got nothing. So many posts about how many chinese were farming this shitty tokens. Even thousands address marked as sybil by layer zero were eligible for the airdrop.

The team is still silent. Im sure they know it. I assume their were cheating their own blockchain through doing collude with nansen.

I didn't take part in this airdrop but I know how it feels if you think you will definitely get it because you have followed all the rules and tasks but failed to get it, and saw other people get it but with fewer transactions in their wallet than our wallet. This also proves that there is always a loophole for cheating no matter how it is distributed, and airdrop should be a side job that won't affect you too much if you fail to get it.

unfortunately i'm not even eligible after spending few years doing the retroactive despite meeting some criteria, I guess some people rage are justifiable knowing that they just got casted aside despite fulfilling the criteria and finding out whether we meets the requirement is piece of cake but the team just decided to drop only very few wallet out of the millions which in result give big rewards to the qualifying people but majority don't even get a peanut.

pretty chaotic airdrop if you ask me, i heard that the biggest multipliers lies in the liquidity providing to various dapps but I did exactly that and got 0, well no point to regret it but to move on anyway, just hope that the L0 and scroll airdrop gonna be better than this.
this making me thinks that maybe the point based airdrops are far more fair compared to these random criteria for elgibility, since we know since first day that the airdrop will be based on point instead of some random eligibility criteria where the devs could take advantage of it, like basically avoiding a way for the team behind project reserving a way to mess with the criteria around.

I am among the people who are disappointed with zksync because many people do not meet the eligibility.

That's what they are disappointed about even though it has met the airdrop criteria but not meeting the eligibility here many communities are angry and worse only 600K more wallets are eligible.

After a lot of criticism on Discord ZK Nation has collected a lot of questions and other feedback they will discuss it tomorrow, hopefully this is the latest news where many people are eligible.

People are very disappointed with the Zksync airdrop community because the majority of participants are placed in the criteria that they are not eligible to get the reward although they have done all the necessary piece of work. Most of the people have not got airdrop of Zksync because they are not eligible for getting reward therefore lots of people are not happy with airdrop participations but I think all AirDrops are not the same as that of Zksync.

We have a solid example of some Airdrops with the participation of which most of the users are still happy and interested in Airdrops. You will be familiar with the airdrop of ARB and Aptos airdrop from which people have got good rewards and still they are admiring it.

Even though I have an eligible account, the drop criteria are very strange. I see some accounts that are better than mine, and they are not eligible. Some accounts are weaker, and they have basically x3-4 from my allocation! This is very strange!

Sad ending for the ZkSync airdrop participants after seeing their wallet not eligble although spent much money for fees transaction but most of them disappointed with the result of airdrop reward announcement. Its not first time when participating at retro airdrop because many airdrop before has the same way with ZkSync airdrop make some participants disappointed after their wallet not eligible from sybil reason, miss of snapshoot until some of participants not holding minimum amount require.

Unpredictable with airdrop running almost two years ago and we don't know when the snapshoot taken by airdrop team make some participants not get eligible, its not matter with how much money spent for transaction if you miss from snapshoot take your address will not eligible yet.

That's possible, we've seen the other developers that have launched before that they have hidden a premined token during their ICOs. So, something like this is possible. What they can do is to assure that there are folks that will be eligible on this. But if they cannot say a thing or two, then there's something really wrong that's happening behind it and those that are eligible for it won't be getting any dollar from them based on whatever measure they do.

ZkSync Airdrop was a successful airdrop for some users and a sad one for others. I had bought ZKSync memes etc. before, but I remember that I did not use Paymaster payment much, so I could not be valid for the airdrop. Users who traded with good volume earned good ZkSync rewards. I will now look at the next airdrops. ZkSnyc is not bad in the off season, but they still did a good job.

I'm 100% disappointed in Zksync, to be honest. While trying to be active on the network, a project there changed their smart contract, and my funds are still stuck in it. I also got rug pulled twice. With all these incidents, I didn't get a dime. Additionally, I've seen people who intentionally became active on the Zksync airdrop, buying NFTs and sorts of useless coins that were dropped there. They also didn't get a dime.

Currently on the pre-market trading, the ZKSYNC token is around $0.35 or so. Which kind of fits in line since the air drop amount is over 3 Billion and it would put it at a current active market cap of $1B which I think is fair since ARB is around $2.5B. I don't see any way why ZK market cap will ever be higher than ARB.

Most people either use ARB or MATIC if they need L2. ZkSync and the rest of the networks are more or less the same. Even the fees are basically the same now since the ethereum hardfork a few weeks back. No idea what the future is for ZkSync. Hopefully they don't go the way of Starknet and just end up dying off.

This kind of airdrop is basically free quality control for the dev so i tend to not join this type of airdrop as it can be easily abused by the dev

I can imagine how disappointing it must be to have invested time and effort into participating in these airdrops, only to find out you're not eligible. It's frustrating when the criteria seem unclear or when despite meeting them, you still miss out.

Airdrops can be a gamble, and the eligibility criteria can be tough to crack sometimes.  It's good to stay engaged with the project you're interested in, but definitely don't rely solely on potential airdrops.
