Hi Guys,
I'm curious to know if there is a cost of living crisis in your country and if you are feeling the effects of rising goods and services.
I'm Australian, and the inflation rate in 2023 was over 4%.
I have noticed significant increases for everyday essentials like food, petrol and utilities.
The cost of petrol is around $2.10AUD per litre, which is insane.
Let's hope things improve in the near future because the current state of things is unsustainable.
$2.10AUD per liter, that’s high,
It’s not as much where am from but, am sure we are getting there. We’ve enjoyed some good days of subsidized petrol before it was removed. This was part of the move by the government to improve the cost of living from time past but, it’s amassed a lot of debts as well. The incoming government have removed subsidized petrol although it’s rumored to be done secretly and at a more cost effective rate but, the cost of living is way up.
For a country where majority of its populace live by daily, it just gets really difficult for those below the radar. Cost of food, housing, transportation, electricity bills and other utilities have tripled if not quadrupled. It’s really difficult and the people haven’t really got the means to carter for themselves.
