Hello everybody. It's been a long time.

I'm having an issue with Binance.
I need to withdraw some money from my account, bu every time I try to do so I get a pop-up saying:

"Your account is in a state of restricted withdrawal

In order to protect the security of your account, you need to continue to bind your phone, email or GA before you start withdrawing coins."

I looked it up online, tried to solve it through binance "support" (if you can call it that), tried to set up 2FA (as I read in a support article) and nothing. I'm still unable to withdraw my funds.

So, what should I do?

just as some additional information, I have the binance app on my cellphone. I tried both the app and the binance site on my computer, and get the same problem everywhere.

I think there's a 24-hour waiting time before you can withdraw after you add a 2FA add a phone number or change any security details like a password.

But you will see the warning message about why you can't withdraw.

Another best thing to do is contact their live support, it's very easy and they reply fast.

Its possible to get the live chat support which is the next best thing, you just have to go through those automatic bot responses in order to reach someone else from the customer support.

Just to warn you that even when you reach live chat support, it may take quite some time for them to resolve your case.

If you are getting an error withdrawing, check if you are allowed to enable a passkey as part of the security for your withdrawal. If they allow you to add it, it will be way easier for you to get your funds out there with a passkey. That's what I use.

There shouldn't be any problems when you have setup everything needed to make a withdrawal, unless your account is restricted by Binance for making withdrawals, you should contact their customer service to ask about why your account is restricted and why you can't withdraw money , and it should be not only for US customers, but globally. But you have to be patient because you are not the only one with problems. Hopefully your problem will be resolved quickly.

That's the same error message, before and after. The fact is I couldn't set up 2FA. Apparently the browser (Firefox) didn't let me.
I'll try the passkey on Saturday. Now I'm getting off work, and I have no internet access.

It is same with password reset when you forget password or password change (when you change it by yourself but did not use password reset). Binance and many exchanges have temporary withdrawal disable in 24 hours, to make sure the change comes from real owner, not from a hacker.

It's terrible if they allow a hacker to reset password, and withdraw fund of the user's compromised account.

You can use an option to send fund between Binance user, it's free. If you don't use it, but use normal withdrawal like sending to users beyond Binance exchange, you will have to pay withdrawal fee and it is same on desktop or mobile app.

When I talk about network free, I'm talking about an internet connection and not the fee that you might be thinking I'm referring to.

Anyone who makes use of Binance should already know that, in fact, almost all centralised exchanges don't charge any fee if you are sending crypto to another user on the same exchange, either using their wallet address, pay ID, or whatever means that's recognised by that exchange.
 
If I'm having a poor internet connection, I like to make use of the Binance mobile app. I don't face those network challenges I face when I'm using my desktop; it's just my personal experience anyway.

When I talk about network free, I'm talking about an internet connection and not the fee that you might be thinking I'm referring to.

If I'm having a poor internet connection, I like to make use of the Binance mobile app. I don't face those network challenges I face when I'm using my desktop; it's just my personal experience anyway.
If you connect to the same Internet connection point, you will nearly get same issue with Internet connection with either your desktop or your mobile phone. Else if the Internet connection issue is because you are too far to the WiFi spot and you can use your mobile device, move closer to that spot and get better Internet connection.

If the issue is not from distance, desktop or mobile devices will experience nearly same issue.

What else can help you to get rid of Internet connection issue from your desktop?
Don't connect it to that Internet connection spot, and use your mobile device with 4G but it's not the same Internet connection spot so it's not your story here I guess.

Am not sure if the error response you're receiving is from binance, there are many people i know that uses binance and as long as your account is verified, you will not have any withdrawal issue, so i will advise you first make a check on the profile to see if the verified icon is marked green or not, if not, then try to do so and reapply to make withdrawal, ensure that you're on the right binance platform and not a cloned one and don't enter through any random links online, all these should be your first precautions and safety measures before enjoying using a centralized exchange like binance.

It's quite possible that you haven't completed the KYC requirements to certify you as verified.
Or it could likely be that you have to reinstall the app on your device and register with yourself and identity cards.
Whichever way, you can abandon the app and use Bybit or kucoin or any other good exchange out there, unless you have funds there, then contact the contact support.

This is likely to show up as a result of account updates such as 2fa disabling or password change and I think it's standard practice for most services these days to have a 24hr wait before regaining full control ...

Just incase,  have you undergone the KYC process already just to get this out of the way??

Btw I don't understand how support fails to be helpful in such an instance, are these guys outsourcing their support staff??

Moreover, the OP stated that he is from Argentina, and taking into account that Spanish is among the most spoken languages in the world I doubt that it would be a big problem to enable support in that language for a giant like Binance. But if he said that, it seems that it is true (and can't you ask for support in English?).

OP, in the Spanish local board there are a few Argentinian active members. Maybe you can try asking them.

I gave up on centralized exchanges a while ago. Especially the international ones like binance. It is because if you get scammed by a local exchange, you can hire a lawyer and make them pay in court. That’s still going to cost something but it is definitely cheaper than hiring a lawyer that will fight a foreign company.

Not using any of the centralized exchanges is probably a good idea. Use something like eXch instead.

Nobody should have a big crypto exposure to a centralized exchange. Let’s say you have $100k in crypto, keep only $5k on a cex and keep the rest in a cold wallet.

Binding of email or Phone number is necessary without any of these you can't even make the account of Binance then why are they asking you to bind any of them? I think you have to bind only one of these two like phone numbers and they are saying you have to add email as well. If you already did it. Then I will say uninstall the app and then install it again although it's not the problem but just in case.

Or see if your app needs an update. I am a old user of Binance and till now I did not saw any problem and if you are seeing still then try to contact there live support they will definitely going to solve your problem soon. Is this your first time withdrawing funds from Binance as if it is then its a normal thing. No need to panic here they are not going to seize your funds.

All these would have been avoided if you used a non custodial wallets because centralized exchanges can be frustrating sometimes and all these processes of going through KYC and physical verification, binding of phone number and email address are tiring to me. Withdrawal from exchanges are difficult sometimes but I don't know if you have made a withdrawal with your binance account before and the location you choosed may also cause the problem because there is restrictions on some area in the United States, places like Alaska, American Samoa, Hawaii, Maine, New York, the Northern Mariana Islands, Texas, and others are not available for binance users in the United States of America.
