Exodus as a wallet isn't such a great wallet choice in the first place. You're better off just using MetaMask/Rabby/Rainbow etc and just liquid stake by swapping your ETH to something like Lido staked Ethereum(stETH). That way, you don't need to stake/unstake — just hold the stETH.

If this was recently added as I understood from your statement, you should probably expect it on the Exodus desktop app pretty soon. From what I've known from them, they used to push updates every two weeks back in the day.

Is there any reason why you don't want to use the mobile version? You could always use a mobile, sync your desktop wallet, do the staking, and then uninstall the wallet while waiting for them to support it.

There are so many other platforms and wallets to stake your ETH on.

Please don't store your coins on Exodus or on other wallets which have a history of cryptocurrency hacking such as Atomic Wallet.

1. I don't think that exodus is a bad wallet, I have been keeping crypto on it for many years and there have been no problems, no attacks, nothing that would cause me to withdraw funds there, the developers care about their product and are really developing it in the right direction. Exodus team isn't Atomic development team Smiley

2. Yes, I don't want to keep my wallet on my cell phone because I consider it much less secure than a regular, well-secured Windows laptop. Currently, mobile phones are extremely susceptible to various attacks and do not have the same protection as Windows or Linux ....

3. I was looking for a wallet that would allow staking without having to exchange eth for some other wrapped shit. This is what I am most afraid of, that such wrapped shit will suddenly lose its liquidity when it is suddenly replaced by users who will start selling eth massively during the bear market. exchanging eth for some other shit is pure idiocy, I recently showed it to binance - I had eth staked on WBETH there, and as it turned out, they suddenly withdrew this shit from the market, and you couldn't sell it on the fly, and then brazenly withdraw your WBETH and exchange it you had to wait for eth for several days or weeks until the system determined whether there was liquidity on the exchange and graciously returned the correct ETH coins to you. exodus does not exchange your eth for any other token as far as I know. Meta mask is a bit suspicious for me because it is a browser plug-in and not a stand-alone Windows application, which in itself is less safe for me.

I guess you have to first wait to become a victim and after then, you will agree with what some members have talked about, and it's just a matter of time. We always see it coming, but are too reluctant to accept the truth.
If it's not open source, then what is the difference between it and using custodial wallet services?

Meta mask is a bit suspicious for me because it is a browser plug-in and not a stand-alone Windows application, which in itself is less safe for me.

If you are not running your own validator with 32 ETH staked, then you are delegating to a third party. Whether this third party gives you a liquid staking token or not doesn’t change the amount of risk you are taking.

There should always be enough ETH to redeem your WBETH for your original stake plus some rewards. Liquidity isn’t the problem, there are quotas based on how much ETH they have removed from staking. Even with the validator used by Exodus you will have to wait many days before your unstaked ETH becomes available in your wallet again. The WBETH token itself solves this issue because you can bypass redemption wait times by selling the token for ETH on Binance spot market or on a DEX.

You don't expect ETH staking to come shortly on desktop wallet, i have been seeing someone asked this on their official discord server. This is what i got.

The team was aware if they shall bring eth staking to the their desktop wallet but as they said that NO ETA for when eth staking will come to the desktop wallet.

I hope you can be patience waiting for that feature to be available on desktop wallet or use mobile wallet instead.

I agree that it seems pretty safe. I have used it and I have not encountered any problems when it comes to security or whatnot. Though I would have to argue that it’s probably not the best wallet to do other things with like staking for example.

Lido and Rocketpool are among those who I see are really recommended and they are also decentralized. Make an educated decision. This is just a simple observation.

If you are very keen on using exodus then I’m pretty sure you can sync your device to your PC but I am not sure whether it will reflect the staking feature. You’re going to have to wait most probably.

Exodus might be better than Atomic Wallet, but that feat isn't something to boast about lmao "look the dev team of the wallet I use is better than the worst". But you do you, all I can do is recommend some reading material.

Rocketpool 2.82% APR - it's a joke. Lido 3,2 - better. not best.

That is expected because desktop has more memory and functions than in mobile. It was like apps in mobile can be said to as the lite version, while PC apps are the full versions. With that being said, they need to prioritize their PC versions before they proceed to mobile, unless if they don't have a PC version but that's weird and many people aren't going to like that because I believe there are still plenty of PC users even up to this date, especially when it comes to cryptocurrency and the blockchain because of how complex they can be.

Quote
don't worry, there shouldn't be any differences between them
But you said earlier that, usually there are always differences. With what I've explained above/earlier, it is true that there will always be differences in between them but it can still be adaptable as long as we are willing to learn.

PEPE is trading on a lot of exchanges, but if you prefer to use a DEX instead, the best bet would be to use uniswap with metamask etc.

This thread was about Exodus, whether or not you use Exodus wallet im not sure.
If you're familiar with Exodus, you can swap directly into PEPE with Exodus.
