Wired Gambler: The First Gambling Newsletter that Doesn't Suck!

Greetings to all forum users!

I would like to introduce you to my new project - Wired Gambler.

This is a weekly newsletter where I share the most interesting events in the gambling industry that happened during the week. I really make an effort to select something unusual and something that I personally find worthy of attention.

In the newsletter, you will find:
- hand-selected posts, articles, interviews and discussions
- no boring news (like corporate-style staff)
- humor (to the best of my ability)
- best new slots
- exclusive bonuses from time-to-time (like really exclusive, only for subscribers)

I could go on for a long time, but it's better to see once than hear 100 times. You can check the previous issues here. Feel free to share your thoughts and reccomendations on it. I am open to a discussion.

Regrading subscriptions in your email list, I think this is something you should not ask. Maintaining a site requires a lot of efforts and once the site will have valuable contents, visitors will start subscribing to your newsletter for the update of the next post.

Tried to read to your article and it’s really impressive how catchy the topic that makes me read all throughout the article. I like your style of narration which is on point yet informative. You knew what’s a gambler reader wants to read that makes us interested.

The only problem I encountered was your website is very slow to load especially the images for your article. Your article #1 which discusses high multiplier win and new games  are so good to read. Adding bonuses and something rewarding will make your website solid.

I first send a newsletter and then just publish it on the site to give people an understanding of what they subscribe for:)

But please note, I do not develop the site, the site is only a place to subscribe to my newsletter and reprint previous newsletters so people can understand what to expect from the subscription.

Your website desigb is good and the content on it is straight to the point. Being concise grabs attention a lot more than lots of unnecessary words will.

I randomly picked an issue to read and I wasn't exactly impressed with the one I read. It sounded a lot like clickbait to say askgamblers posts fake reviews cause of an experiment conducted by one user. Casino review sites have to find a balance between being too strict with the reviews they accept and making it easier and convenient for actual users to drop reviews and give their opinion on site they use. This is not a defense for askgamblers, I have no affiliation with them.

Beyond the above, the style of writing is catchy and holds the attention.

I never knew that notcoin has been added to coins that can be used at bcgame so I didn’t just go there and left without gaining anything from it. If I am free I’ll try to go through some and probably come back to give more feedback on it.

I had the same feeling as you about this site, a mail form and 2 posts don't make a good page, and even if the service is a newsletter, they should make a better page to promote their service.

And one observation about the site:

Some of the publications have a green button with a link, but the link is wrong, we see links like:

So, maybe OP could fix those links before moving on with the project.

I checked it and it was actually good already for starters and we can't expect too much here since the service they are offering are only news letter and we will just enter our emails on their website (that's it !). The rest of the things are then delivered to our mail boxes. The things that are being displayed on their site, must be a sample of what can we also expect other than the casinos and their features.

Yeah, like you, I also appreciate the effort of the OP and like to congratulate and wish him a good luck. I haven't seen much of this, so that must've gave him a good boost/start. He should work hard and continue this, so that the opportunity won't get wasted.

I'm gonna be the odd one out but I actually prefer professional looking content because humor could be a hit or miss for me. Nevertheless, I'll keep an eye out. At some point, I did look for news outlet/aggregator for gambling stuff lol.

If I may, I think it'd be a good idea to sort news per category to have a better flow of content? 🤔 e.g. general gambling updates, win highlights, editorial for opinions, etc. (you don't have to repeat each every sesh)

Same sentiment. For a second, I thought askgamblers were the ones who initiated the postings lol. I get op's skepticism on reviews as I do too but a different headline would've been better for it.

The site is on basic WordPress. For a newsletter I am currently using GetResponse but also plan to test a Beehiiv.

I describe this case to remind you that casino reviews should be treated with great caution and skepticism. On the vast majority of review sites, you can leave both bad and good feedback without proving that you are using the product. Therefore, you should find several trustworthy sources and ensure that the person who left the review has actually used the casino site.

I believe that many people post fake reviews everywhere. This is an article about a guy who posted ChatGPT reviews on AskGamblers and all of them got published... there's a link to his LinkedIn page about the whole process, and it's an interesting reading.

Nice newsletter, short and simple articles with links for those who wish more details. There are not a lot of articles so far, I read them all relatively quickly... an interesting site and I will bookmark the Wired Gambler Newsletter.

I was a better expectant when I first saw your thread but the expectation was highly disappointed with the approach I saw on your website. Are you for real? You should have thought it through better than this. This forum will no doubt help you propagate it but you asking for an email to access the service is not so convenient and will discourage many, that's the truth. In case you don't know, people are getting wiser these days and this system of having your email list where more emails will be leaked through it is not what I think a sensible person would sign for in this technological age. You may prove otherwise, but do we know you to ascertain your integrity and security?

If at all anyone will do that, I will never do that again. The time I was subscribing this way was the time that my email address became the victim of extreme spamming. Even if a well-registered company can still compromise, how much more is a random website?

Op I just cross checked the website and it is very simple and I like a simple sites like this. But I will like to suggest that why can't you publish the latest news or the latest newsletter on the website for easy assessment. So that people will visit your website because if people subscribe with your newsletter then it is their email they will be reading the news and personally I don't like receiving newsletters emails because I feel like they are spamming my inbox. So as for me I prefer reading the news in the Website than in the email. And if the email is too much there are times I don't even read them again and all what I do is to delete them straight once I sight the.

Well, I saw your website and I confess that you could have explored it more, for example in the part where you talk about "Fake Casino Reviews" it seems to me that you mixed topics which in my opinion you shouldn't have done. for example, you said that the stake on May 17th posted on X a person who managed to bet $0.1 and got the multiplier of x1,000,000 right and that person ended up with $100,000. but I ask you:

Are you accusing stake of making fake reviews on their X account?

because stake wouldn't do these types of things, they are an established casino for years, they have a good reputation and I personally use stake and trust stake. so when you post this in the fake reviews section, you are accusing the stake without proof. and there are more articles about staking on your website and in this fake review section, which in my opinion makes it seem like you have a problem with staking and don't want to be direct in talking about it. If you don't have proof that it's fake reviews, then you could post it in another section, something like the news section and then at the end you could say something like: "I let each person draw their own conclusions" but without accusing the stake, because you have no proof

and about AskGamblers, they post everything that anyone posts, it is up to each person to then read the reviews and investigate further, but from what I have been able to conclude in over 5 years of following these review sites: we have to pay more attention to negative comments and it is always done by people who have already made many comments on other sites, because they tend to be true comments, few people remember to post positive comments when using a casino, but most people remember to posting negative comments when they are not paid or have closed accounts or have funds withheld

Just checked your site out and I must say that it needs a lot of work. I like the stylish design though, but there is very little content to comment on. One of the articles about gambler winnings was pretty interesting.

Also, you need to get rid of the email requirement asap op since I feel it's completely unnecessary and could chase away many gamblers.

The initiative is innovative and distinctive, and I find that it has many elements of success despite its many shortcomings. But this is normal because the concept is still under construction and certainly requires more efforts to obtain a complete product.
I would like to ask about the expected income from this project and what sources does the Op intend to rely on to cover the costs in all stages of development? The project will necessarily need a marketing plan, which will cost a lot of money and effort. What are the proposed solutions?

Also, you need to get rid of the email requirement asap op since I feel it's completely unnecessary and could chase away many gamblers.

I support your proposal and assure the Op that this may lead to users being alienated from their first visit to the site, and they may not trust the content on this basis as well. You are in a very sensitive industry and a vast competitive field, so every detail is important in itself and should not be overlooked. Always think with the mindset of users with different backgrounds, not just your own goals.
