Not trying to stir up trouble, but this is so ironic, I just have to throw in my 2 sats.

You suggest that this is not the place to do business in BTC, yet you posted screen shots of this forum! Furthermore, you post pictures that are from 2016, from "Real BTC guys", AKA prominent collectors, some who are still active here. Of course the value of BTC is the same now as it is then, so your ask of 1BTC at 2016 prices is certainly valid (insert sarcasm here).

Yes, we all know that 1BTC = 1BTC, blah blah blah. So if you think the value of BTC has not changed since 2016 (spoiler, it has) I would gladly purchase some BTC from you at the 2016 fiat rate (~$600-700/BTC, lets make a deal). As BTC goes up in value you gain purchasing power in BTC terms, lose it in fiat terms, thats just inevitable. If BTC had gone down, there is no way you would take 1BTC for this, you would argue for more.

Of course we talk in BTC terms here, and of course we make deals in BTC here all the time, in fact it's required. Talking about purchasing this for 0.0XXXXBTC is still "dealing in BTC" just not the number you want.

You can't have your cake and eat it too my friend.

You cant make anyone buy it for 1BTC or any amount of Satoshi's. The market
decides what its worth at a given time.

Start an auction here in the Collectibles board at 0.01BTC with a reserve of 1BTC
and see what happens. You will get serious buyers bidding but they will all have
their limit and it looks like it wont be near 1BTC

There is no point saying it was worth 1BTC years ago, you have to revert to FIAT.

Is it worth $1,000,000? 'cause if Bitcoin hits that price point there isnt a notion you
will get it.

It is not courteous to de-value the art every time the price goes up or down because you wish to. The artist has done more for the industry than most commentators have in this chat, all of his artwork should be respected against BTC at all times for everyone's value. I very much understand the notion of 1BTC being worth 1 million therefore in line with comments and respectful of all others current opinions, I would to be happy to reconsider a start point of 0.1 BTC, (with 0.01 increments, plus a reserve).

Sure, Max has done loads for the community and no one here is questioning his contributions or the products he has made. I own Kialaras as do most of the people here. All we are saying is no matter how much you want it to be worth 1BTC, saying it out loud doesn't make it so. If right now someone pays 1BTC, or one sells at Stacks & Bowers for 65k, then you have a valid argument for that asking price.

If we are respecting value of art, or physical objects, or goods/services against Bitcoin then every pizza is now 10kBTC. The value of the Kialara HAS gone up, just not in BTC terms. No one is "de-valuing" the art just because BTC goes up.

Honestly, I hope you do sell it for 1BTC. My collection would be worth more. I'm just not hopeful that this will happen. And honestly I never bought any of my collectibles assuming that they would appreciate in BTC value, If I wanted that, I would just buy the BTC outright.

Please don't take any of this the wrong way. We all want the collectible hobby to break out, we are just trying to be realistic about the value. Again, I do hope you get 1BTC for it. The way to see the real value is to find out what people will pay, and that is an auction.

Thank you for all inputs and appreciated comments/suggestions, given the piece and the demand for the piece by the market. I do agree it would be a good idea to have a 'fair auction' which would allow the market to determine the current value of this piece and therefore allow essentially anyone who wants the piece to put a current bid in.
