I put it to you that the best decision you'll make is to buy Bitcoin and Hodl, don't get discouraged by the drop in price cause I believe you should've known by now what volatility means.

It was a good decision but not have the urge to do it. Just invest in bitcoin when ready, it means that you have the right knowledge, not because someone says it. Bitcoin is profitable but we never erase it in our mind that bitcoin investment is risky and should be taken wisely. Therefore, we ask ourselves if we are ready to take responsibility for our investment and are patient enough to wait for the right time to sell.

Buy, Hold, and Sell --that seems too easy to think but is not that easy in the actual. Sometimes we think we are late for this but I say NO, let us just say that we are not ready yet. Perhaps, there's still tomorrow and still a lot of bitcoin to buy so we don't need to worry about it.

Mr Lucius, I hope you know that in the Bitcoin talk forum there are several other topics discussed and you don't expect me to mention everything in one topic, not everyone is partaking in the campaigns to Bitcoin in large or less quantity, i believe some where convinced by friends to join and get knowledge about Bitcoin but could still have doubts of investing. And there are other members that would also create awareness to them concerning what you mentioned, advising Newbies or those that still have doubts towards investing in Bitcoin is not a bad idea. Moreover I might convince people on investing and they'll also be able to learn about the risks factors involving it from other people's topics, in a school, you don't learn everything from one professor or teacher there's division of labour in teaching.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and I consider those who were opportuned to mine Bitcoin and also invested at the early days as the ones who took the best step, it's not supposed to be debated cause we've all seen the success of the project from the first day of creation by Satoshi to this present day, except maybe the ones who sold their assets for unnecessary wants, but people who held for a long term are benefiting well from their decisions currently.

From my little experience, there is nothing wrong is selling but it is important to replenish your wallet when the price goes down. So the people who lost out of the benefit of Bitcoin are those who sold and didn't re-buy during the bear market. Bitcoin still has great potentials, so it is still okay to buy and hodl because the the price will appreciate in the future.

I wonder how many of those who invested early on actually managed to hold long enough. I joined only around 2015, and even I remember a time when $600 per BTC felt like such a great price. Apart from selling, it was easy to lose coins due to scams, locking yourself out of your wallet, or accidentally making transfer mistakes.
But no matter when someone invested, surely it was hard not to sell at some point. In the grand scheme of things, I agree it's not too late to invest, but people should do what feels right to them.

Those early Bitcoiners who kept their coins to date are superhumans. I might sound somehow but this is just how I see them. It is not easy to keep a worthless coin and if the price went high, they were not tempted to sell them. I don't if I had kept my coins to date, I would have sold them a long time ago.

I don’t feel sorry for anyone. You don’t expect everyone to invest in bitcoin, they might have their own personal reasons why they are not interested in bitcoin. There are other investments, and that doesn’t mean they won’t be making good profits from other investments they make. If I can just introduce anyone to bitcoin investment and they are not interested, I don’t even stress myself, it’s their money, and they can choose to do whatever they want with the money.

People are just scared to invest. They would be saying price is too high but won't still invest whenever there's a dip. They'd hesitate regardless of the market price simply because they are lacking the knowledge and initiative to act in accordance with what they are saying. Yes, we can't force anyone to do anything and when it comes to money, it can be even more difficult. We can't convince anyone to put their precious money somewhere. Invest and that too in trading where there is so much volatility that one may have to wait for a long time to profit or withdraw one's money.

Nowadays, people love their money more than human beings and they don't want to spend their money in a place where they have to wait for a long time or their money goes down first and then later gains profit. Their minds are never ready for it, even if they are told millions of times that they will benefit in the future, but it is said that who has seen the future, I have seen people who have good money for years, and for years their money remains in banks, they do not invest anywhere for fear of losing it.

It is not everyone that will invest in bitcoin and it is not a must for some that has money to invest in bitcoin. Bitcoin investment is an investment people will willing choose to invest. When I see people who have the resources I think it is not the time for them to invest because they haven't gotten the knowledge yet. Investing bitcoin is not about the money you have , if the interest and the knowledge is not there it will be impossible to invest in it. Investing is all about interest and knowledge that is why you can't blame people who are not Investing,  let them get them get the interest and invest willingly.

There are time to invest in bitcoin which is the bull season and there are time not to invest in bitcoin which is the bear season. The bull season has started since 2023 and not yet over. Investing in bitcoin right now would be good. But not all the time someone can invest in bitcoin. There are sometimes that you just need to wait until the massive bear season is over but we are not yet in that period of time.

Isn't it best to invest in Bitcoin when it price is low which is available during bear season?  So to get more profit, a person should put more money into Bitcoin when it is in bear market to ,maximize profit.  Though I agree that whether Bitcoin is in a bear market or bull market, as long as its 4-year cycle keeps on repeating on breaking and recording new ATH, the time when to invest is not a question and like what @OP stated, it should be done now.

Why do we have to be concerned about someone's stash? And how they do their investment?  Why not just focus on our own investment and just let others do what they wanted.  After all, there is no benefit for us if those people profited from their venture.  It is ok to disseminate information and let them know the beauty of venturing into Bitcoin investment and its risk.  Whether they will hop into Bitcoin investment or not should be not our concern. It is their money anyway, and they have all the right to where they want to spend it.

You are right, we are never too late to invest in BTC. Those who wish to make 100x are also not late, but I will say the chances are lesser than before. The point is you can't make that much profit in less that many people made when they bought it at the rate of $100 per BTC. But it does not mean, opportunity to make profit is gone. I also had this thought back in 2021 but with time I came to know more as not provelms if I can't make that much profit right now but at least I will be making profit.

So I started to do DCA and now I am sitting more than 2x. I know people are making 800x to 1000x by investing in memes but that is too risky and unblieveable as well. So BTC is safer and best choice to make profit while you want to hold your savings. We just have to make our mind, like how much profit we are expecting in how much time, and what factors will force us to withdraw our BTC investd funds, then try to overcome those factors or sources by other meanings. So your investments stays there for longer period of time.

they can't get themselves to learn about bitcoin and try to learn how to manage the risks that go alongside investing in btc because they don't just understand how much profit you can make from btc

meanwhile you have people who are well aware of btc but has no enough funds to actually invest in it,... it is truly an unfair and cruel world we live in.

If a person has doubts about a potential investment, it is best for them to remain away from it until they are fully convinced about it, and we see people like this on the forum all the time, people that invest in bitcoin simply because of its potential but that do not really understand it, so as soon as the market makes a movement they were not expecting or we see a government tightening its regulations, they get scared and sell their coins, thinking that this is the right move for them to take at the time.

They're just assuring that they won't invest into something they don't know. Yes, they are capable and if we're in their shoes, we'd invest.
But the reality is that it is not our money and even they're capable, they're giving importance to their money and they are not willing to invest.
