Can you explain to me why it's like that ?
By the Marketprice i should get fair value of 1800$ If i sell my meme coin but then it show's i get only 1$ ? So why i can't sell with the price it show's ? I managed to entry early with Marketcap 1$ so i should get fair Market price ?
Even If market price slippage or price gap i should get atleast 300-500$ ? Or it's the waiting game when more buyers coming in then i can get to sell and get 1800$ for my tokens or i should make my sell order smaller ?
Or it's about liquity ? If liquity is low i have to wait when token is more known and more liquity?

Thanks

You didn’t specify which token you were trying to sell but you are correct that splitting it up into smaller orders would help you reduce price impact. It is common for memecoin traders to suffer from extreme price differences if there isn’t enough liquidity, although $1800 to $1 is not something I have seen before. You can look at the buy and sell history of the token you are trying to sell and create limit orders for an amount where you can get a reasonable price.

That's a spread I guess it's common in dex exchange meaning the asking bid at that price has a higher spread once you sell the price is lower than the spot price.
You better use the limit order to avoid selling it at $1 there is a guide on Jupiter on how to do it check the link below

If the meme coin you have also listed on other dex exchanges then better check them there and maybe there's a difference in the bidding price.

meme coin
Your answer is hidden in this word.

What you have a useless garbage and because of that it should not even be worth $1 let alone be worth $1800. What you need to happen is hype leading to a lot of gamblers buying the garbage to pump it so that you can sell at a slightly better price.

Of course it is hard to give an accurate answer without knowing the token but generally speaking as it was mentioned, it is common for such tokens to not be able to attract any buyers so it doesn't matter if someone has placed a sell order at $1800 (or whatever high prices) nobody will buy it. The buy orders will remain at low prices (like $1 or lower) because that is all people are willing to pay for this useless junk.

So the only question in front of you now is whether you think they can pump this shittoken or not. If not, then dump it and move on to the next shitcoin. Otherwise take the risk and start bag holding hoping it get pumped...

Not sure OP will ever understand properly despite all the answers being correct. I will explain in non technical terms Smiley

On an exchange, DEX or CEX, OP, you must understand that prices are what people offer for whatever amounts of coins. I can offer to buy 0.00000001 unit of memecoin at $1800 and the rest at 1 cent. You will see the best offer first, hence it looks like you can go to sell memecoins for $1800.

But since I'm the only offer, because who really cares about memecoin, if you wanna sell 1 unit of memecoin, you will only get, in reality ~1 cent + $ 0.00001800.

That's what people above said by not enough liquidity. Enough liquidity means many many people offering to buy many many units of memecoin at the same price.

This cannot happen if that coin is listed on many high liquidity exchanges. if you don't like exchange price, you will withdrawal token from that exchange and deposit it into another exchange and selling it. However, if the token is listed on unknown platforms, the prices can easily be manipulated, especially if it listed on scam exchange or no liquidity exchange.

Jupiter is the leading DEX of the solana blockchain and has a very large trading volume to date, so we can rule out that he is trading on a fake or illiquid exchange. What I think is that he is buying the wrong fake tokens because on the DEX there are thousands of tokens with similar names and most people will rely on Contact to determine which are real and which are fake. It is very possible that the OP mistakenly bought a fake token with no liquidity and when he checked the price of that real token on CMC or Coingecko, he would see a huge difference.

Unfortunately, the OP did not provide us with the name of the token he purchased so we can check it in more detail.

What FinneysTrueVision said.

You probably bought (and are trying to sell) a memecoin that's a microcap — a token with very little liquidity hence why you're getting those swap price estimates. You can check through CoinGecko(if it's unlisted, then yea lol probably very little liquidity) or DEXScreener/BirdEye how much liquidity the token has.

You're trading microcap coin this kind of thing is to be expected,
most of DEX like jupiter determine price based on ratio of token in the pool, if there's nobody supplying liquidity, it means the coin isn't liquid, so your attempt of swapping will face massive slippage, even more so if the pool is smaller than your trade.

that's always the problem facing the usage of DEX, liquidity is always lacking more especially with the coin that aren't well known.
if you really curious why your slippage is so big you should learn about constant product formula that automated market maker DEX like jupiter is using. good knowledge for people using DEX to be honest.

Quite unbelievable how it could happen. Nomatter how highily liquidity and exchange can be or highily volatile the token could be, it doesn't seem possible for a trending price of $1,800 to drop to $1 within the same period of trades.
So it's either there's a scam in the system or the Op isn't being straightforward.

         -   I just want to ask you, OP, what meme coins are you referring to? There are other exchanges like Dex that actually have high slippage that is reduced, because it seems that it depends on the meme coins that you want to make a transaction on the thing that you want to know.

There are others that I have known and seen that can be said to be shitcoin meme coins that have very low liquidity, but the price of the slippage demanded is high. In that case, it is not good to make a buying choice because it is not a potential purchase for me.

Maybe the problem is also because of that exchange you are using. I guess it is called as Jupiter dex?
Because, this is what is written in your title. I haven't heard of that exchange before, so if possible move to another exchange and better use those popular ones. The problem can also be on the meme coin that you hold because you know, meme coins are highly volatile.

This is why they are not recommended for a long-term hold. Entering early doesn't guarantee you a fair market price, especially if we are talking about meme coins. If it happens that more people buy the same coin that you own, you can not only get $1800 but more than that.

Try and make it smaller and see what rate you will be given and from there, you can sell consequently, then this also can be determined by the exact token in consideration, we may try to choose making the sell order from the one we know well have a good history on price performance in the past, we can as well consider the liquidity on each token to know whether it will rise or not at the point of selling the asset we have invested.

What you need literally is just slippage setting to prevent you from getting too low rate in exchange for your coin and you're set.

Also try to make bunch of small transactions so that the liquidity pool will not get disturbed too much, I always find the entirety of the DEX auto market making mechanism to be broken for low valued meme coin which lacks LP-ers as well as new coin that just recently got listed.

one reason why you should use any DEX's limit order feature instead  Grin.

Its happening with your meme coins liquidity too small or transaction volume in DEX exchange not too much, you must try selling with small amount if want get the same price with CEX exchange but I doubt with your meme coins. Other possibility have some else outside from developer of your meme coins holding add liquidity but small fund, its not official liquidity from meme coins and make difficult get the same values considering sell on the CEX exchange.

I faced many cases the same with you, when selling my meme coins amount around 1k token its worth based on the market price but added until 10k token have difference price and decreasing drastically than the CEX exchange or the same ratio price if selling with small amount. Check the liquidity firstly and how much liquidity lock if small fund seems difficult for selling your meme coins based on price of DEX exchange or with small fund sell.
