I've never heard of tokenmarketcap, but the first 2 sites you mentioned are very important for getting attention & also for the purpose of checking the market value of your tokens. However, if your token is a degen token or your project doesn't have much money, I think it would be better to advertise your project on sniper & checking sites for degen tokens like Poocoin.

Don't judge immediately, you don't even know the name of the website, so of course you don't know whether the token has a use-case or not, in this forum we discuss and help other people who want feedback from us.

Why is listing the first in its roadmap? It should focus more on the value of the project to the community. It's not easy to get into these market aggregators. There are requirements you need to fill out for their form, but I think Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are just enough.
The most important is to get it in the best exchange in the market. One qualification is getting into reputable exchanges.

But as more serious note, i am not saying that don't make a new one, as it's your right to do so, and yours is a drop in an ocean anyway. But maybe if you want to make a token for a reason, or or just for people, you should listen to people in here and their reasons why they don't want or need this.

I mean for Christ sake, listing it to some indexer shouldn't be a thing you are aiming for. Try developing it first. Or if you are planning to launch another zillionth meme token, listing doesn't even matter.

Are you sure that is your first roadmap plan by just listing them first on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap?
I'm sure your project will be rejected unless if your first plan is to promote your project first and if many people are interested and become trending then expect for your project to be approved to be listed on both Coingecko and Coinmarketcap.

If your project is not approved you might need to improve your efforts to meet their requirements and take note that Coinmarketcap will ask for payment if the project that you requested for listing doesn't meet their requirements if you can afford it and pay them then they might prioritize your project.

I do not think it should be too much of a problem to get your project listed there, as I would imagine their standards to be quite low as they list thousands of coins.

What is the most important from your post is what you do not mention, as you do not tell us anything about what your project hopes to achieve or how it is any different than all of the coins that already exist, making me think there is in fact nothing worth to mention, and that your project is just one of the many coins we will see disappear during this year.

I agree, making a token isn't easy, well making a token is the easy one but making a token that would benefit anyone is the hardest thing in the world. You should not try to do this if your first place to start is asking questions at bitcointalk forum. Like he said, we have thousands and thousands, probably over ten thousand dead tokens because people did not know how hard it is to make a token that would ever mean anything.

So when we are talking about the current situation, it is going to be very tough and we can't really be bothered about it. I believe that it is going to be tough, but we can't make it work any other way. We should consider how we can move further with the way we are handling the current situation.

You have taken the wrong steps on this journey. If you want to develop a cryptocurrency token project, you don't have to tell the community that you want to do such thing. Have you heard anyone who wanted to create token project to announce it foe everyone hearing before start the development stage. And I will advise you to stop the project if you are not a programmer or a developer because your project will turn to a scamming project.
Because one thing I noticed in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, for you to develop a token then you must be a developer and a programmer so that you do many things by yourself and your colleagues can assist you and that how bitcoin and others were created and they didn't come to the public to seek foe help.

If you even have to ask this question than you shoukd just stop right there.  The point of crypto should be about the project itself not where do you have to market this.  It's obvious ypu just want to throw this out there to see if you can raise money but if you can't even get past this part than there is no way your "project" will be worth looking at.

For coin gecko and CMC, it is already a fairly reliable and good token price tracker, maybe because it was established earlier, but for just research such as dexscreener, poo coin, etc. I also often access it. As the times have progressed, there are more and more and easier including each cain. I am not allergic to the web that has provided dapps in it, because if trading early can minimise rugpull (take as necessary) indeed the liquidity is easily damaged sooner or later but not all new coins . Even hype altcoins have the potential to be deeply involved even though they are already listed on the cex. The main point is that I can buy a few $ for a large number of tokens, even though it is ridiculous so far I am happy to see the number of coin tokens. Explore the project if you want to dabble in altcoins especially twitter/media about DYOR. If you want to invest long term choose position 1-10 on the cmc/coingecko ladder.

Those 3 should be good enough for a start. After listing, if you really wanted it as a start, progress on trying to make your project marketable first. Build your social media presence, build a community around it and build a proper roadmap about the development of the project, not about listing it on the market instead.

Kind of funny how in the first place you want a project that is yet to be developed to already be listed on the market. Pretty sure your priorities are jumbled up right now and I'd suggest trying to look and research first how to build a proper project road map instead first?

To be honest coingecko and coinmarketcap already enough but like the other said there are thousand of dead coin/token already. Before you start to printing your own money better to figure it out the use case.

If your token had better use case then looking new investor or customer would be easy in my opinion.

Why is listing the first in its roadmap? It should focus more on the value of the project to the community. It's not easy to get into these market aggregators. There are requirements you need to fill out for their form, but I think Coinmarketcap and Coingecko are just enough.
The most important is to get it in the best exchange in the market. One qualification is getting into reputable exchanges.

After reading it, it also makes me wonder because I think in each projects that I see, this is not the first item on their road map but it's important and maybe this will make some of us to feel happy and excited, so that can still benefit them. With that being said, they are actually giving a value to their community.

You are right that it's not easy to get listed on those websites but if they think they already got what it takes to get listed there, then I think their project is already mature or decent by the time it gets released to the public? HHmm..., that's awesome then. If they can make those possible, then we shall not worry about them getting listed on a high-quality exchange sites.
