Hi,

is it possible to file a case in Finland from abroad, without being present at the hearing (maybe through zoom video conference)?
I want to file a case against the Vladislav Alimpiev who have stolen all my bitcoins, but I am not residing in Finland.

I searched on Google and found that this may be possible. You can use one of the Finnish websites that provide legal advisory services, where you will find all the answers you need from the specialists in your case with this scammer.

You can also do your research to find and contract with one of the legitimate expert lawyers in Finland who have experience in the field of financial crimes. You can provide him with evidence that incriminates this Bitcoinscammer and the necessary details regarding your financial losses. The website asianajajaliitto.fi can assist you. I'm sorry for your loss; honestly, I haven't heard of Vladislav Alimpiev before. Could you clarify how he stole your bitcoins?

So you're referencing the former localbitcoin's head of marketing. You probably won't have any luck there as there are likely several complaints already being lodged against that company. Its going to cost you a pretty penny to work with a Finnish lawyer, but that's about your only shot.

I wonder how genuine your words are and if you even have another motive. You create an account on 28th June and are last active on 29th June and in that period you make one post. Also, it seems if the replies in this thread were of value to you (because of the pressing question you asked), you would have been far more active. How can you be taken seriously?

You created an account in the forum specifically to ask this question when your time would have been better spent asking a lawyer in your own country or finding one in Finland. In short, ask a lawyer in your own country or contact any lawyer from Finland: https://findanattorney.fi

This remind me of the consecutive threads about wanting to sue and/or wanting to know the whereabouts/personal information of particular LBC employees I've seen several months ago lol. Don't think I'm the only one who thought many of those threads were just started by the same person.

Imma give op the benefit of the doubt but if the same pattern has repeated, then they have likely came back.

Better talk with your lawyer about that.
Even if that could be possible, you would need to have clear evidence presented with documentation, than you need to pay everything for trial, and have some knowledge of Finish/Swedish language.
You should also be prepared for this to be a long trial, especially if they don't have proper knowledge about bitcoin in court.

We haven't heard from the OP in eight days. Your observation is right; this is online defamation, although in this case, the one being accused has a lot of scam accusations, too. There is no seriousness on the OP's part, or his intention is just to drop that line.
We now have a pattern like this now, and I think this is not going to be the last one created, if OP's going to come here again he should post how many BTC have been stolen, for us to figure out if it is worth going to court

You guys are wasting time with OP. I have advise him in the past, but it seems he has a major problem with the way he thinks. Every once in a while when he is bored. He comes around with a new alt account saying he is looking for the owners of localbitcoins who scammed him without providing any evidence and then disappears. I am sure the same is going to happen with the account the created the OP. He will come back with a free account next time round

Here are so of his past threads spanning from 2021

Yeah, the guy never quits, he still keeps rambling about that and he has of course no interest in taking it seriously and going to court.
Probably the actual story about his hate to LB is 100% different!

What I do find interesting is that the same pattern of posting happened also on a subboard (Pilipinas):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5414738.msg61000280#msg61000280
the only "scam" accusation outside the English general board so anyone helpful enough might try to explain OP in his own language and legal terms what he must do and why he will not do it!
