I had 12 word passphrase. Someone from the bitcointalk.org gave me private message and told me that he was a hacker and wanted job. I thought he was lying. I gave him 12 words of my bitcoin passphrase but shuffling.  I decided to give him 25 USDT after killing his time and getting my thesis paper editing.

I thought he could not be able to organise them. But now my bitcoin is gone from my wallet. What should I do now?
It was around 0.1243 BTC. Just crying. Is there any law infrocement unit to help me?

This history sounds a bit not realistic. Hence here private message can be checked by admin and mods... So they can see if you are telling something real or not...
But the real question is: why to give random passphrase to some one? Roll Eyes

It should be 479001600 combinations possible with 12! not easy at all to test all these combinations and verify if these address are loaded...
Of course you can go to your local police and provide proofs of what happens.

The OP’s history tells me that this is just another bullshit story.

If indeed someone stole such an amount from him do you think he’ll come to the forum and use “someone from Bitcointalk”? He’ll definitely not hold back the username of the account but instead he chose not to say anything.

If no evidence can be provided by the Op I’ll suggest everyone to just treat the thread as a made up story to probably lure those that are going to sympathize with them.

I think your story is bullshit, and i don't know why you would want to waste your time and that of everyone else, telling such a story that never happened. However, i don't care if what you say is correct or not, but nobody should ever expose their seed phrase, even if it is not backed up in the correct order, you cannot experiment with your money, in the way op said he did in his bullshit story.

Op is a scammer, it's obvious y'all should read his tags.

he has over 4 red tags for trying to scam... I guess he also owns the account fromindia that he claims scammed him.

I gave him 12 words of my bitcoin passphrase but shuffling.
I met this same guy. I gave him my house keys and car keys but shuffled. Now my TV is gone, and my car.

Screenshot your personal message and the personal message the person sent you and upload it on this forum. Also include in the post the txid of the transaction that you are taking about. This is how we can know that you are telling the truth.

I also think that this could be a lie but a made up story in search of merits.

How can you be so careless in the first place by trying to test someone with your wallet, which has your holdings in it, if I may ask? If you really want to know if the person is capable of doing whatever they claim to do, why not create a new wallet without any holdings inside and see what the result will be? You will have nothing to lose.

If you said you lost about 0.12 bitcoin to the accused guy, which means your wallet might be the same wallet the user said, just moved the funds he found there to an exchange.

I can't just draw my conclusion around this; it's either you are the same person operating both accounts and claiming you have been robbed just to try to make a point that you know how to access someone's wallet,

Or you were just careless enough to play into the hands of someone who will be spending your money in a bear parlour or a gambling hall right now.

Regardless if this is true or not, this is probably the stupidest thing i heard in crypto space today. I can only say is you really f*cked up. And now the accused guy  is asking the community for what he should do for the fund he got lmao. But still hesitant of getting jail time.

OP is lying from his story and nobody stole his bitcoin because no one can use your passphrase to access your wallet without your seed phrase. This is why it is advisable to always add passphrase to your seed phrase so that whoever has one of them cannot access your bitcoin as long as you save them separately. What is OP plans for creating this thread because I don't trust him.

You thought? What came over you to give a personal information to someone. Your story is even confusing to me. First he said he was a hacker, you gave him a job to do or what and wanted to pay him for his time he had spent editing your thesis? If you want us to believe your story and that you’re not just cooking up lies, you should upload the personal message to user sent to you and your chat with him when you provided the passphrase to him. Your story is very hard to believe to be honest.

This is careless on your part and I think you don't understand the meaning of the phrase so you are willing to give it to someone else. But then you say thesis problem, does that mean he helped you solve it or how do we try to understand what you mean?

I thought he could not be able to organise them. But now my bitcoin is gone from my wallet. What should I do now?
It was around 0.1243 BTC. Just crying. Is there any law infrocement unit to help me?
If there is someone who can help you get back some stolen bitcoins, then there are many people who may not think the initial Seed phrase is important. There is nothing you can do when Bitcoins are stolen and it is completely your own responsibility. That is why security must be strengthened so that the assets you own can be much safer and it would be stupid if you give that seed phrase to someone else even if your reasons are random.

Just assume your bitcoins have been lost unless you know the person and can meet them to ask for the bitcoins they took back. But if you don't know the person then it is certain that your bitcoins will be lost forever and there is no way to get them back.

For now, I won't say you are lieing or telling the truth, but I can only conclude if you do bring the person who messaged you privately here. Just mention his name and he might come and say something, then if he didn't say anything that important about the accusations then you might be right/wrong.
Even if you are a newbie here, are you also a newbie on Bitcoin knowledge? Because most newbies that knows Bitcoin and the important of keeping their seed phrase, won't share a single words from their seed phrase to an unknown person.

I can't just draw my conclusion around this; it's either you are the same person operating both accounts and claiming you have been robbed just to try to make a point that you know how to access someone's wallet,

This is just a bull shit story constructed by the op. It's obviously true what you said. He literally owns both accounts and wants to put up a story to prove that he really is a hacker. Who In the world would get keys for Wallet holding that much of Bitcoin and create a stupid thread asking what to do? Does it even make any sense. I still don't know why his post haven't been deleted by moderators yet as he's just making a fool of him self. Anyone who falls for this scrap will have himself to blame.

Of course you can go to your local police and provide proofs of what happens.
So what if the suspect is a not a citizen of the same country with O.P, what will the local police do? Because I think O.P should learn to accept his loss, because he/she is 100% at fault for giving his 12 words seed phrase to a complete stranger he met here on the forum. Infact, what was he even thinking, if not been careless and reckless regarding his Bitcoin. Hence, I think this should act as a lesson for him and all those who will want to make such silly mistake in the future that Wallet Seed phrase is ought to be treated as gold, precious and delicate.
