I would start to look at meme coins more seriously, I could even think about investing in them

I do not think that you would get a chance to test your capital with memecoins. 99% of altcoin devs are scammers who ruined the entire industry and also degraded the reputation of bitcoin market as well. Very soon that we can expect altcoin industry to start falling down due to lack of support from investors. I guess it is surviving till date because of new investors but awareness will spread and new investors also will start avoiding altcoins sooner.

Most people who are involved with altcoins are aware that altcoins are just a means of making high profits quickly or else they will lose everything quickly. They know that altcoins have been created by scammers, because that's why they even think that if they create a new altcoin they need to make profits of 10x to 100x because then they will have many projects that will make them lose money. I have read people who invest in altcoins saying that they see investing in alcoins as a game in which whoever is lucky enough to invest early wins. people who are unlucky enough to invest late lose money. but in my case I always prefer to just invest in bitcoin, I don't expect to get 10x profits from investing in bitcoin, but at least I will be happy with a 3x or 4x profit. I will hold bitcoin until I have this 3x or 4x profit because I bought it at $40,000, I don't invest in altcoins

The answer is simple, those meme coin projects that bring actual utility for their communities are going to stay because they are going to have use cases and people will keep using them in the future as well, and meme coins that have no utility at all and have no projects or functionalities backing them up may gain temporary hype and gain some value but they will eventually die and will be replaced by new ones.

However, despite all these things, I wouldn't recommend anyone spending a lot of money on meme coins hoping that they are going to get rich by doing this because even if a meme coin has a project backing it up, it will still contain a lot of risks and one should only invest a small amount in it to try their luck so that they don't lose a lot of money.

the problem with meme coins is the same problem that has been happening in the altcoin market in general: " copy - paste ". If tomorrow a guy comes along and creates an altcoin Z that allows you to improve Google Maps, for example, and this altcoin is successful and sees a big price increase? in the following weeks there will be many new altcoins with the same idea

I iust recently reply to another threads that discuss about memecoin but if you ask Where do you think memecoins will go in future? The answer would be the same like now or will cease to exist. I mean memecoin is oversaturated the hype is everywhere and if this a balloon the bust like going to happen anytime beside that there is no real use case apart from fun.

I don't think memecoins would last long in the market as people thought. Each memecoins launch in the market, survives by the hype given to it by her community and that doesn't last more than a year.

As Pepecoin, Bonk, COQ and the rest of them are the talk of the market to be the profit maker for investors in the next bull run, I believe after the bull run, nobody would talk more of them. Before 2028 halving, many would die off from the crypto space and new memecoins will arrive to be the new talk of the market towards making huge profits for investors within a short time. Memecoins will go far in the future op, because there are some memecoins in the market that is helping people to earn profit from short term hodling, and they have gathered so many customers in the industry. Solan and Dogecoin has opened the eyes of memecoins investors to increase their money on those memecoins business because whenever they invest their money on them, it allow them to earn what will make them to have the opportunity to invest when the price drop down.

The keyword is "meme" here and if there is no hype and influencers step up to crank the hype level to the highest by promoting them then it's pretty much will die like other meme coins out there.

Doge is surviving until today because of how strong the community is and related to the dog we knew and cared about. This is pretty much the cycle of every meme coins out there, if the project suddenly blow up then there is something that triggers this event probably there is big influencers say something about this or even as a community just create the hype by themselves.

I agree, I also feel that no one should take a huge risk on memes coins. Nowadays, many new tokens are launched in the market and some are going to be launched and most of them are being told that they will come in the market and give good profit I think they are fake.

If people have low incomes and cannot invest in Bitcoin because the price of Bitcoin has gone far out of their reach, still there are good alternative coins in the market that always have all their investors benefited and never disappointed its users then why waste even a little money on meme coins? People have become more accustomed to social media since people spent more time indoors when the world was infected with the coronavirus. I think meme coin is still trying to survive around social media. People are attracted to cheap coins because people want to eat more with less. So I'm not writing off meme coin at all, there will be ups and downs and many more coins will disappear again in the future, meme coins will go through a cyclical state. I don't want to argue here whether meme coin will rise or altcoin will fall but you need to do proper analysis and go for investment because both are risky.

Already you knows the answers to what you said  but sincerely speaking I don't still give that much attention to memecoin since I am not a fan of it for any reason and from how it's always builds there isn't much usecase except for some of them but I doubt it's a coin to be hold for longer period even with the hype currently over the space. I know very soon memecoin could just be liken or rated as NFTs time soon and lots of people already don't give much attention to it but however, we still choose memecoin over NFTs.

I guess if the meme coin is among top 20 that has reached its equilibrium and also the market cap is too big to get rugged, it's gonna be fine, we can't decide to ignore the fact that meme coin retains their value better sometime at the time of bullish because they have their own trend or cult followers that despite of the bad sentiment of the market, these top meme coins also have quite low volatility compared to the lower ranked meme coin, so I think it's relatively good investment but regarding the risk I agree with you, the risk is higher than coin with fundamentals.

surprisingly though the outlook of DOGE compared to ETH is quite similar, so I can conclude as well that dogecoin more or less just follow the market trend right now, not as volatile as before

Meme projects if you will try to look at the reasoning of their existence, will give you idea whether they can survive long or not. Because most of them have shallow foundation, you can expect that they won't last after the team exhausted their opportunity to pocket money as much as they can. Hence, a very risky move if you will invest your hard-earned money from these projects. But if you have the time to keep up and explore their profitability, why not? Most of them are just for short-term profits. If you fail to keep up, you will be holding worthless tokens later on.
