No long story here. The X user, The Crypto Network, hosted a Sol giveaway, and a Nigerian user, muchino67, won $100. However, by mistake, The Crypto Network sent him 100 $SOL instead of $100. To put that in perspective, he sent $14,898 instead of $100. Quite a huge difference, right? Do you know that the Nigerian user returned the excess amount? Yes He did.

This act has significantly changed The Crypto Network's perspective on Nigerians.

To illustrate the ripple effect, The Crypto Network has over 130,000 followers on X and is the largest Crypto Educational Creator on TikTok with over 1 million followers. It’s a small step, but it will go a long way.

He has opened the way for the next Nigerian the The Crypto Network will meet or do business or anything with.

Nigerians have always been good people. The problem is that there will always be some bad eggs amongst the good ones. This person might have shown this good act due to so many reasons, religious or the rest of it. But on a norms with the current situation of the country this money might not be returned to its owner. He did well though and showed a good act that we still have some good people in nija.My problem is the message, it didn't show if it was replied by the person in question.

He did. The  X user, The Crypto Network even had a video call with him which he posted on his X account.

I do not think this is worth discussing. We have over 200 million people in Nigeria. If you see just 10 people and ask for their opinion about it that if supposing they are the person that was sent the money and that they should be truthful about it. If they are truthful about it, it is likely that 3 or 4 among them will tell you that they will not return the money. It is not even about the country someone is from, it is about how someone is. Even in a very good country that people do not steal (but which is not possible), you will still see some people that will not return the money if possible that they can not be traced, then the money would be gone. This is not about Nigeria or any country but about someone's kindness.

The guy that sent the SOL coins which was a mistake of about $14,898 instead of $100 to the Nigerians guy was very lucky, trust me there would have been some Nigerians that will not return back those SOL coins, I'm really happy the guy met a true and patriotic Nigerian who still has principles and discipline which is a hard commodity to find on the internet space.

I heard few persons have been commending the Nigerian guy and supporting him with various crypto coins and other cash gift just to appreciate him for displaying sincerity and humanity. I trust the Crypto space, they are going to really show this guy some more love, even more than the amount he had returned. For me this is more like a wake up call for most Nigerians to always be truthful and sincere because we've had a very bad reputation on the internet space because of some of the atrocities some persons must have been doing over time, please this goes to show that there are still good ones amongst us and we should learn to do more good. Just as the Bible will say, righteousness exalts a nation.

This is a plus for the image of Nigeria, in the global crypto community, other crypto users will now understand that it is not every Nigerian that is a scammer. Internet scammers from Nigeria, have been damaging the image of the country with their global scamming and people from other countries will not care to know that we are a country of over 200,000,000 people and most of them are honest people. There are good and bad people in every country but the characters of a select few to the rest of the world can make them to stereotype everybody in that country with the characters of the these people that they know. This is the misleading information that the outside world have of Nigeria, that we are fraudsters, but thankfully to the honest act of this Nigerian that returned the excess Sol, people will also hear of it and change their perception about us.

People use to say “one yam spoiled the rest’’ if not for this statement, they will realize that they still have a lot of good people in Nigeria, it is not all Nigerian citizens that are villain they are just a victim of all the things that is happening in their country, because of the hard situation they are living in now, it is good for someone to always be honest because dishonesty never pays, people from Nigeria are not the way people think they are,

Perhaps you won’t really know someone until you go close to that person, in all the countries bad people are in the mix of good people, there is no country in this world that you will research on and find out that there is not a villain, so bad people are not only in Nigeria but in all the countries, kindness of someone cannot be determined by the country he or she come from,

Some people have conscious while some people doesn’t, some people are the kind of person that whenever they took what doesn’t belong to them their conscious will be judging them but some people doesn’t care

of cause their are still lot of good people in this Nigeria but just that the bad one's have taken over now, mostly when it comes to crypto currency their are reliable people here but not among the leaders that we got. No matter because of the hard economy their are a lot of good citizens which are willing to help each other's, there's one parable my father always say to me. That you can't know a name of a tree not on till you get closer to it, so what I meant is that don't gorge the book by his cover. It's not because Nigeria have a bad name that will make everyone in it to become bad as it is.

i saw the news on Facebook and I share the post too,  it really touch  melt my heart. The user is a good person, and I pray he keep doing good. That kindness has redeemed the country image in the international world. This show that not everyone are into cyberfraud. Is good to be contented, some will be celebrating for have such about, thats about 23m in naira. With such about you are already a billionaire, but as they say good name is better than riches. Don't be surprised the user that return the money will be given job and other incentive reward. I'm proud of him, I'll do same too.

This is very good and na very commendable effort e be for the guy. I no dey surprise say him send the money back, people dey plenty wey still get good heart and when you around one, you go know say good people still dey exist. Naija people plenty wey get good heart but when the bery few wey dey wayward commit something illegal, dem go begin dey call all of us say we be bad people. I want make people change that narrative wey dem Dey get for Nigerians especially the foreigners.

We na naija we dey sha, e go dey hard wey dem go say dem go believe us just like that, but with revelations like this wey the guy don do, e con dey prove to them how good we be. Make we be good ambassador of whatever we become in the future. With the way dis guy take refund dis money, na ways him open for more opportunities to Nigerians from this same person and others go they encourage to help more Nigerians wey dem come across or do business with.

Nigeria is have countless of good people who are well mannered and maintain their principles and core values of being honest and trustworthy. The reason why I appreciate this post is we are at a time where Nigerians and Africans at large have been painted black because of the misnomer practiced by a few among other Nigerians. We must however continue to portray the good part of us which is way beyond the bad aspect.

Please take heart and console your self,in as much as we don't seem to believe that good people still exists, there are still some persons that are good. There are people that you can meet and never regret meeting them.Things happen everyday that will discourage us  from trusting or having interest in things we see,but we just have to try to strengthen ourselves and still try more because there are still good people, all we just need pray for is for us not to get scammed just like the way it happened to you.

In every country your will always have three set of people,  those making things happen,  those watching things and those complaining when things happen. The good ones make things happen, they always project the image of the country high, regardless of the failure of the government they will never compromise their integrity. While the watchmen are those who only mind their busines and maintain neutrality in face of crisis,  special place in hell are kept for them, they won't vote or contest for election,  the worst set of Nigerians. Then the complaining ones, they are the bad eggs,  they feel satisfied whenever they see negative news happening in Nigeria,  they desire is to see this country in crisis.

Which side you belong?
