Let me make a short recap of where we are in the project.


On our timeline we're doing great, as PHASE #2 continues with comments from your side and concept art from mine!

If we wrap up the brainstorming by the end of August and I start work on the canvas in the beginning of September, it will be perfect.

In the process of actual painting, some changes might still be made, although mostly in the area of detail.
Then as you might expect it, the more it's finished, the smaller the opportunity for changes.

I hope to complete the canvas by the end of October.
This will give me enough time to prepare the scan and prints in the beginning of November.

The original canvas and prints will then be sold and/or auctioned and a digital version available for everybody to download.
This will give us enough time for everyone to have their copy of the artwork at home for the celebration around November 22nd!

Right now, I'm working on a new Visual update in which I'll try to include everything settled so far.
It will be ready in the next couple of days, which gives you a bit of time for random commentary and ideas.

VISUAL UPDATE #5


I integrated and upgraded several details.
 





LIST OF CHANGES

* Gold is marked for use in the big BTC sign on the tower as well as the 15 years sign and the S on Satoshi.

* A new OG character (probably Sirius) joined the Satoshi pod in the bottom right.

* Several blue torrents spread from Satoshi connecting everything.

* Added Foxpup sign

* Repainted the background a bit to add "Local" with flags of first 10 countries to post on BTC talk:

* Added bots promoting some new service (should be upgraded into something specific!)

THE CODE

I designed the code for our first Collective artwork project Bitcollector.
It is designed to connect all my/our BTCtalk artworks into its unique artchain.

This is how the first code was constructed from top to bottom :

BTC-TLK 001/1 (Bitcoin Talk, project 001 and /1 meaning it is the single one or first of the series.)
1Dq Eld kro... (First three characters of members of the current artwork project.)
Thumbnail image in bottom left of the previous artwork (Pie contest 2024).
Date of project/s beginning and end. (For this one it's pretty epic in its span of 4 and a half years)
Thumbnail version of current artwork in bottom right (used for reference in the next artwork)

Bitcoin Forum Metaverse will be the second artwork to have this code.


I intend to leave a lot of details on the concept art in the sketch form.
There's no real need to paint everything as a proxy for the canvas version as long as you trust that I'll do my best on it.
If there's questions about the way anything will be painted, I'll of course address that.
And in the process of exploring the final style for the canvas, I might paint some things in new ways.

Hello 1Dq, I wanted to talk about a few things. The art so far is representing the entire forum very well! I'm loving the art, congratulations.

Another thing is that whenever you make a change, you could indicate it with an arrow, just like last time, because since the art is taking on large proportions and more things are always being added, it would be interesting to have an indication so that we can quickly visualize it and also tell you if it's correct, if it was painted/drawn wrong.

Another thing would be the possibility of you showing the painting process, even if it's just a quick one. I think it would be interesting to see the digital transformation.

I think the space where Satoshi is located is very good. In fact, the whole picture is incredible, congratulations.

At the moment I can't indicate anything that I might need to change, I think everything is fine.
You even chose the Portuguese flag.

• Hodling post mention[1] - Perhaps by not directly linking the post but trying to draw a little guy almost falling in the bitcoin symbol, but grabbing it to avoid falling? Would it be too much?
• Theymos post that led to the submission of "Magic Internet Money"[2] - Granted this may be a bit hard to justify considering that it was on Reddit, but it did help Bitcoin get more traction.

Looking forward for the final result, keep it up!

I don't know if this will be too much to ask but I'm considering a scenario where instead of representing the flags of just the first ten active local board on the forum, you include other local boards even though it's going to be a bit tiny. The essence will be to paint an all inclusive portrait where some aspect of the forum won't feel like they are left out. If we have represented newbies in the portrait then it's necessary that all local board gets a sense of visibility in the art. The remaining ones aren't that much, they could be added close to the meta section that's directly opposite the first ten flag.

Apart from that observation, every other detail looks okay and well represented in my observation.

I can't think of a fairer way to list the countries. Since the anniversary is 15 years, let's remember the first ones who created the entire foundation for the other languages.

like the way the Olympics used connections of five interlaced rings to represent the bond and connection of athletes accross the five continents, a combination as that could be used with color codes of all the local boards on the forum proper mated in it. An alternative option could be to mesh out an area that's spherical in nature like a world globe and which can contain the color code of the flags of the different local board on the forum or something that representa it well. I believe 1Dq knows how to better represent this idea.

Art is very important when it comes to passing out a message using art works makes it more valuable and understandable, I love what you are doing and how you are going about it.
There should be a flag that we represent this forum as one with many countries and languages, a flag that tells that as soon as one sees it.
I think a flag like that will make the forum more unique.

Yes, another good idea.
Since I'm into "painterly coding" what if I made a cryptic universal code that would represent all countries, but have some extra exposed?
I'm not sure how exactly I'd do that yet, but I've some conceptual references to work with.

Regarding the tabs, I thought of doing the following:



First, take the anniversary number "15 years" and move it under the Bitcoin symbol.

In the place where "15" was, we put the flags of the local tabs and the "Other languages" tab. From what I counted, there are 23 local tabs + Other languages.

In the space that is now empty, I could put the flags that best represent that language. In my case, for example, it is Portuguese. But there are two major speakers of this language, Portugal and Brazil. As a tiebreaker, the number of inhabitants can be used. But you can think of other criteria as well.

There is the report by @Rikafip about the local tabs and this can be explored too!

I think the idea of ​​doing something to cover all local guides is great.
Because in reality the forum is made up of all of them, and they continue to be a means of continuing to make the forum grow.

The Earth's globe, powered by Satoshi's energy, where the continents would have this color/energy.
