I participated in this thread, it's a shame this happened. Anyway, gambling based on chance is a box of surprises and many times it doesn't depend on the player's performance, like slot games where it's 50/50. A weak psychology causes emotional dependence on games that directly influences the results (even more so!), as the player tends to bet more if he loses to chase losses and when he wins, he continues betting without stopping instead of withdrawing, returning to square one.
