Just trying to compute how much I would win: with a $100 bet, I'll take $1300 as a profit? I think that's very attractive compared to betting on the USA for $400 to only win $100.

When you look at US roster, its obvious that they mean business and want that gold medal badly so low odds are no surprising at all. I just haven't figured out yet whether risk to reward ratio is good enough to actually put some money on them.

They already beat the top 2 in the ranking based on the sportsbook, so I guess that's already a value. Though this is just an exhibition game, but we most likely see how the game will transpired if they meet in the real game.

Have you placed your bet already on the team you think will win it all? I trus the USA to win here but honestly as I gambler who doesn't have a huge bankroll, I find it not attractive betting on the USA. I guess I'll just bet per game with the spread and odds, let's see if I'll win some good odds.

Yeah, obviously the odds aren't attractive at all if you're going to bet for the USA. This is a real gamble that someone has got to do in here. But if you're basically for the odds, you can just have fun and do what you think will beat the other team based on the odds. But aside from team USA and Canada. People talk about France so, if both of these teams have got better odds. I might come and bet for any of them and it's interesting to bet when we're already in the finals, good or bad odds, it doesn't matter as the winner becomes the winner and you'd just forget about small odds.

Although the game between USA and Canada yesterday was an exhibition match, it already gave us a little idea of which team is superior. Canada started the game well yesterday but they weren't able to sustain the lead. And considering that Canada has around 10 players coming from the NBA, they were still no match against USA's all-star team.

I'm excited to watch USA's first game on the 28th against Jokic's gang from Serbia. It must be a good game, one that will give as a clearer picture of how their serious games would look like.

They'll just toy with them that's for sure. He even had a hard time when he's being defended by 2 bigs back when they're playing against the Timberwolves during the playoffs. Let alone this USA line up that consists of all-star player, and some hall of famers of course.

Jokic might be unstoppable like we always see in the NBA, but him alone isn't enough to win on this stacked up team of USA. I respect your opinion that it will be a good game, or possibly a close one, but I doubt it will be. No offense for Serbia as I see them as a strong team, but the USA team is just stacked up. For me, it's like a new version of a "Dream Team" although they aren't close to the original one. We've seen how they played against Canada that also has many NBA players. Just imagine how they will play against other teams.

Team USA will win on this one and will defend their title. Easy.

We've seen how strong the USA team though, Canada started hot and build a double digit lead by the US was calm and collective and then went on a run. And when they took the lead, they never look back. And it's good to see young players like ANT leading the team with the experience of Curry and Lebron. And then we have the defense of AD to block those shots from the Canadian.

So I do agree, it's really hard to beat this team and they are going to defend the gold medal for 5th consecutive Olympics now.

Probably it's a battle on who's going to win the silver, it is team Canada or the hometown team of Wemby and Gobert. I don't think that Serbia will be a big threat for them even if they have Jokic and other NBA players in their roster.

For sure Team USA is the huge favorite to win the gold medal this Olympics but betting for them outright is not advisable since the odds is not that attractive (1.2x). Against Canada, they were a little bit rusty in the first quarter but once the machine start rolling, they were hard to stop.

Looking forward also to the game against another powerhouse Serbia, if the spread will be high i would take the risk of betting the underdog.

Indeed, Canada gave them a good fight I would say. On paper the Canadian team surely is one of the medal candidates at the Olympics. At the world cup they were already strong but adding for example Murray now is a big upgrade.
On a good day for them, and a bad day for the US they could definitely beat the American team in my opinion.

After getting blown out in the first test I think the German team this time looked much better against France some days ago. Sure was without Wemby but Germany bringing the Wagner bros back in action was a big boost.
I am looking forward for their encounter in the group stage at the Olympics for sure!!

These games are always exciting, and for me more exciting than the NBA as my Bulls suck and I'm just kinda down and out w/the regular NBA right now, so this is something different and will be fun to see just how badly the USA beats everyone.  Of course, as an American that's what I want, but I would like to see some close games. 

The only thing that could stop them is themselves.  Lot of Hall of Famers on this team and young mega-stars whom already seem to be quite self-entitled... Is Anthony Edwards for real when he's been saying shit like he's the best in the game and the ball should go to him etc etc?  I mean that's one way to make your teammates hate you.  I don't like cocky fuckers like him who've not earned it yet.  He's a star, but he's not done shit yet to earn the title(s) he thinks he deserves.

Honestly there's still so many US studs not on the team that they could field another team who'd get Silver...

I just know that there's no defensive 3 seconds rule in this tournment so Wemby and Gobert would enjoy staying inside to block the shots of the USA if they'll meet. That's a great advantage for team France, and not only that, they also have good 3 point shooters so they'll be able to divide that threat from inside and outside. During the exhibition games, we've seen how good they are so they should be counted and we should talk about this team vs team USA more.

If it's with the Team USA, shooting outside won't be a problem to them. They know how long the reach of Wemby from defending someone's shooting. Both two defensing players are in France and there's no doubt about that. And with those exhibition matches, they're truly impressive but I think that it will all change if ever they'll meet their ways. But for now, let's all look at the groupings of these teams. Group A seems to be a tough group.

Jokic struggled with big guys because his team lost to the twin towers of Gobert and KAT during the playoffs. Maybe he can easily move Wemby, as he is not strong yet, although he has the size to block the ball. But since Jokic is a smart player, no question since he won an MVP, that's why they won. But anyway, that was just an exhibition game; we don't know if it will be the same during the actual game if they'll face each other again.

True, but in the Olympics, they could rain 3's as the distance is much closer if I'm not mistaken, than in NBA, so shooters like Curry could have an easy time and not try to get into the basket with this two towers, however, we all know that this is what those dunkers wanted, to see themselves against the like of this shot blockers, like ANT or Lebron James.

Gonna be good to see as these teams are in the top of the favorites, and then Australia like a huge underdog in this tournament but they also have a solid lineup and could be one of the teams that have been playing cohesively for years.

Well France, after the first 2 games against Turkey and Germany, looked like a very solid team but the last 2 games they showed a different face. Sure, against Germany (2nd test against them) they were missing Wembanyama but you could also say that for Germany in game one playing with several important guys.
Yesterday in the 4th test against Serbia they just looked good for the first 8 minutes when they were leading 23:13, but then Serbia outscore them in the next 12 minutes with a 32:9 run, crazy.
They had several miscommunication but obviously this is only the 4th test and nobody expects them to work perfectly after such a short time. For Serbia it was only test number 2 and the Jokic/Bogdanovic combo impressed a lot already. Micic also look great already!
By the way, Serbia will meet the US team in the group stage, that will be something to look forward to!

The game vs Canada really isn’t a good indicator of what team USA will really look like.  It probably did showcase the starting 5 , but besides that ..Durant didn’t play, some select team guys got mns, Holiday a leading scorer? Not likely moving forward, hes on the team for everything but his scoring.  They also didn’t go balls out etc. If they cared they’d have beat Canada by 50

It really is crazy how many stars didn’t make the team. I know it’s just goofy talk but I’d love to see the US get a second team. Just to see how it’d all play out.

It was a good game, though. What I saw is that Serbia was shooting well from outside. If they struggled, then there's no way they'd beat France. I think we now see the weakness of France, and I'm sure France will make an adjustment to improve their outside defense, as their opponents are likely going to choose to just shoot from outside since the twin towers are clogging the paint. Things could be different in the actual game, as the pressure is high, and even good shooters sometimes are not able to find their rhythm.
