I want some suggestion to invest in DOGE coin or XRP coin. I personally prefer DOGE coins. But I don't know how strong and active is the Dogecoin community currently? And How is Dogecoin being used in real-world transactions or by businesses?

My second choice is Ripple (XRP). But I want to know more details about it and then take a decision. What are some notable companies or institutions currently using RippleNet and XRP for their operations

I'll start somewhat off-topic. Since Bitcoin is supposed to be at the first half of a bull run and still the price went down heavily this week, why not Bitcoin?
However, this is a speculation and don't invest just because I said so. Do your own research and decide based on what you think, I don't want to be held responsible if my logic is incorrect.

Now on-topic. Doge has quite a big tail emission i.e. inflation, hence imho its price is mostly speculated. XRP is even worse, since it's pre-mined, I expect the price being heavily manipulated by Ripple. So if you want to invest into altcoins, maybe you look around more advises and other coins.

Why these 2 are even your only options? They are build for completely different things.

Doge has no use case, other than speculation and trading. Nor it has any development plans as it doesn't need those.

But sure, you might as well but it, because you don't seem to need any reason for buying it, and liking the meme is good enough reason as any. Just don't be surprised if nothing happens in that front. Price might spike from time to time and if you are happy with that, it's definitely for you.

Xrp army will try and convert you like a cult, and most of these partnerships are just to-be-failed pilot programs. Companies and institutions are testing the ground as they try to get into the hype of blockchain, and i don't think majority of these companies have any idea how to benefit from the blockchain, so they are just "looking into it" with pilot programs.

Sad truth is that probably later on, they will realize that Xrp isn't going to be any better solution then any centralized database. But for now they keep on trying as they don't want to seem like they don't care.

Xrp is a centralized premined database. It is no different than an excel sheet which you can create on your computer. It is not a decentralized crypto currency like doge. Doge is a shitcoin too but at least it had a fair launch and a PoW mining algorithm. Between these two, doge is the only choice that makes sense. You shouldn’t even consider buying XRP in any situation. It might not die right away just because you ignored it but one day it will. You don’t want to be one of the bag holders when that day comes.

At this rate, I think XRP is more recommended for you since it has more liquidity and usability in terms of payment also its developers are strong enough to win every bad accusations against them which lead to their coin surviving until now and it's one of the top currently.

Therefore, if you want to invest in the long term, you can always choose XRP because they have high chance of survivability and have some major influence in the crypto market.

Lol you don't buy DOGE for its use-case(which is nothing, because — you know, memecoin and all). You buy it for the reason that it's dumb and stupid and the fact that people will likely buy it if we get a full-blown market where retail traders/investors are looking for riskier upside.

As for XRP — I don't even know why it's still in the top 10.

Doge in the transaction you are referring to may have been used by Tesla as a means of payment but I'm not sure this is still the case today, Doge is just Elon Musk's game to pump and dump.
The doge community may be quite active but Doge is mostly I know for gambling rather than as a means of other transactions.

XRP how is the feud with the SEC going? This issue has been going on for years but I'm not so sure about XRP as an investment that you make... Why not choose bitcoin which most people choose BTC over altcoins? Is it because BTC is already too high?

Doge is a meme coin, something created for fun but I think it's more of a random coin now than the other meme coins we are having today, at least this one is fair than the once that are launched and used to toy each others funds because of gains. Some people do say Elon still has some Doge in his wallet and still been consider as the father of Doge coin, he is the reason why many people are still loyal to Doge community, if you know you can risk it, I know nothing other than what I have just shared.

XRP has long been saying they are going to be working with some banks in the past, like there were some banks that were goingt utilize their technology but I guess that was either hype or just speculation, nothing serious about that and since then XRP has been a speculation without direction. They were also recently sued by SEC for been a security but it seems they won the case but the SEC insist and are pushing the fight to another level. So choose your sword and put any money you can afford to lose.

Have you not seen something about altcoins? They will come, some will become scam. Those that are not scam will make it to a high price and get to all-time high. But that could be their last all-time high (until maybe decades or never).

Only bitcoin got to all-time high among these coins for now. Even ethereum was unable to get to all-time high as of now. Although, the bull run is not yet over has been my guess. This bear market will later wfter some weeks or months lead to another bull market. But will the altcoins get to all-time high?

Gamble with the altcoins. If you make money, stop investing in them because they can disappoint. Especially the old ones like XRP and DOGE.

I know that the altcoins disappoint on long term. Still, even old coins can get a pump now and then. After all, Doge had a very good period when was already old, but started being shilled by Elon.
However, I expect XRP get more "lively" exchange rate now and then, but since it's pre-mined, that's pure speculation, not value. And that's too risky.

I actually prefer to buy other memecoins or cheaper altcoins. Doge and XRP looks too expensive or probably over priced for me. Although, my method might be more risky but I prefer that method to buying either doge or XRP.

Regardless of whether Tesla still accepts DOGE as payment or not, I doubt people actually use DOGE to pay for their orders — I'd even assume that usage is virtually zero. As for any advantages/disadvantages of each type of crypto, I just feel like they are just arguments for whether you should choose or not choose them.

IMO, choose according to your own analysis and how you plan to approach the profits/losses that occur with each type.

In this situation, I am not sure about a decision because I will probably lean towards XRP for the long term and DOGE in the short term, anyway, in terms of feasibility, they both have the potential to increase profits for the investment, but also need to be realistic with risks. Because the cryptocurrencies themselves have a history of huge fluctuations at different periods.

I read on the news after doge fell significantly, it fell more than 10 times of its all-time high that some people sued Elon Musk to court. Although, they can not win because almost other altcoins are very volatile and dropped in prices just like doge or dropped in price more than doge. Doge as of today is 7x lower than its all-time high. I see it now as an old coin that has been left behind why people are buying new coins which they will also later be dumped in the future just like doge.

I think, op, it looks like you didn't do enough research because you only saw the two that you think have the potential to give you earnings in the future. Why don't you try to learn more about the top crypto so far in the market?

Because in truth, there are many top altcoins that are more than what you mentioned and can give you a good profit in the future if you just do really intense research about potential cryptocurrencies.

It is difficult to make a choice between DOGE or XRP because they are very different both in fundamental aspects or community support. However, if you want to have enough money, maybe you can buy both to get a profit. All decisions are in your hands. Because in truth, there are many top altcoins that are more than what you mentioned and can give you a good profit in the future if you just do really intense research about potential cryptocurrencies.

Doge and XRP are also two altcoins in the top 10 on CMC, so they can be considered the leading altcoins on the market. I think each person has different investment preferences and tastes, I guess he did his research before choosing these 2 altcoins.

Many people will assume that Doge is just a memecoin but if we dig deeper, we will know that it was created in 2013 and can still exist until now, despite having many so-called potential projects has disappeared over time. Honestly, investing in it I don't find it riskier than any other altcoin. @OP, if you ask me, I will choose Doge over XRP and I believe it is not too difficult for Doge to reach 1 USD.

Well it's possible that Doge payments are still valid - https://www.tesla.com/support/dogecoin but I would argue that few people use doge or even none - Elon Musk just wants to pump but can't yet.

So far haven't seen any statistical data about Tesla purchases using Doge usually people always share experiences on X but can't find it, means almost zero Doge users for Tesla payments.
