Bitcoin pioneered a new money paradigm. Bitcoin's breakthrough status and belief in it are my favorite things about it. Its widespread acceptance shows its trustworthiness. My second favorite is USDT. Though not cryptocurrency, its utility is apparent. The dollar-pegged, multi-chained currency is versatile.

Bitcoin is a belief system, not just technology. It questions our financial system and privacy beliefs. It requires trusting something invisible but powerful. Bitcoin initiated this revolution and is nourished by millions' confidence. New philosophy, not simply finance. It has faults, like all systems, thus additional cryptos step in. They solve some Bitcoin-incompatible problems, making it vital.

Usdt is a stablecoin and it is a good option to receive and make payments, because it is not volatile. However, take note that you should not be holding coins like usdt for a long time, it is centralized and it can be frozen anytime, even if you store it in your own wallet. There is also a lot of manipulation going on with coins like usdt, surely all coins are not backed 1:1 with the U.S dollar, and they are just printed out of thin air.

For Bitcoin, it has to be its security ^{[I do know it's not truly immutable, but chances of something bad happening are quite low]} and concerning the latter part, I've rarely tried using another cryptocurrency in the past decade so I can't comment on that front.

Anonymity and decentralization, privacy and security of your funds without the involvement of third parties is what makes bitcoin and cryptocurrency stand out in the financial possession realm. Without this notable features, they will just be a subsidiary to the fiat currency and they won’t have lasted till date.

What can be more discouraging than not having complete ownership of your funds. The transaction fees issue is not a permanent problem and it fluctuates and most of the times it’s always on the low than it is on the high.

Bitcoin is the best and when looking at others, I treat them all as altcoins even though some few of them have exhibited some rigid forms and are not the ones to be despicable when you’re taking about cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is decentralized and already maintain his form no matter the volatile nature of the market it has to face. Bitcoin is still the best and when I’m to chose the second best, I will still go for bitcoin, maybe if there’s a third best, bitcoin already there before I’ll think of another.

Honestly, Having the power to control your currency is my favorite part about Bitcoin, The beautiful thing about the Bitcoin ecosystem is that it doesn't discriminate or lay all the bureaucratic shenanigans that are attached to the fiat currency, You have total control of the transactional flow and you decide what to do and when to do it. Lately, Solana Coin has been making waves, and probably it might Surpass Even Ethiurium which is next to Bitcoin at the moment Because it has fewer Gas fees in terms of transactions compared to the ETH

Considering all these aspects, I believe that no coin can be better than Bitcoin, although there may be high transaction fee problems, but despite this, the number one coin I will pick up is the one and only Bitcoin. . Besides, the coins I like on the second number are Etherum and Monero. Etherum is also the same in TX fee as is Bitcoin. If there is anything I should like about bitcoin it's all of the above, that means everything about bitcoin is unique and I love them. I'm also a big fan of altcoins but that can't limit my desire for bitcoin because I believe bitcoin is a paradigm that emerged to change the perspective of humans or the way of life technically.

I also see reasons with coin solana, it's a good one and I definitely want more of it.

Profit and avoiding taxes in every transaction however, as we all know, there are still limitations on Bitcoin usage given that not all merchants or stores are accepting Bitcoin or simply this technology is not yet widely accepted across countries. Volatility is also an issue to other people. Profitable opportunities as an investment is obviously where Bitcoin is more used at this point. With payment method in most countries, you won't still be able to make use of its potential. Ethereum is another which has the same usage as with Bitcoin especially with new projects running on its chain.

Aside from ethereum, no other coin could match Bitcoin's community, price rate of increase (not value), and overall stability.

I think censorship resistance is the most important feature of Bitcoin.

- Nobody can deny you to transact using Bitcoin
- Nobody can deny you to open an "account" in the Bitcoin network to hold values, you only need the software and Internet access
- Nobody can make any claim to rewind your transactions for any reason

Of course, this feature can be abused. But its legitimate use cases far outweigh the small significance Bitcoin may have for crime.

For this reason, my second choice goes also to XMR, like for the OP.

For the third place, there's a row of other coins with some of them being bigger and more established and some very small ones, including LTC, Signum (formerly Burst), Gapcoin, Slimcoin and of course Grin. They have different strengths and weaknesses but if they had a similar marketcap would offer the same benefits than Bitcoin.

Transactions at premined proof-of-stake coins can always be rewinded if the founders approve it, because they will almost in any case have enough weight in the validator network to influence consensus. Even premined Proof-of-work coins can be rewinded, like Vitalik showed in the case of The DAO: they have simply to hardfork rewinding the transaction, and threaten to sell all coins of the chain they don't like. So no, Ethereum is not entirely censorship resistant. The smaller coins I mentioned are also vulnerable to attacks on censorship resistance, but this vulnerability is linked to their low hashrate/market cap, which are directly related to attack costs.

We all know that Bitcoin is most popular crypto currency bitcoin is the first most widely recognized cryptocurrency I completely understand your excitement about Bitcoin but the high transaction fees can indeed be frustrating at times however my second choice among cryptocurrencies is the Ethereum coin. I personally like this coin. In terms of investing, I prefer Ethereum after Bitcoin. USDT coin is also good because its price is stable. Works well for taking payments. What do you like best about BTC

The code. It is just a very interesting project, from the software perspective. As a programmer, it was my main motivation, when I started: to learn, how it is created, and how the code works in practice (which is often different from how it is described and advertized). Also, in the end, it doesn't matter that much, how people describe Bitcoin. What really matters, is what is really written in the software, because then, you may discover things, which are different, than what people believe.

One of those examples is the consequence of having two difficulties on test networks: many people think, that ASICs can rule the world of testnets, but the truth is: if you have two different difficulties, and you cannot work on both at the same time, then in that kind of network, CPUs and ASICs can co-exist. More than that: it gets even more interesting, if you have a different system, where each miner can declare any difficulty, and then work on it. But if you want to know more about the consequences of such change, then coding and testing is the way to go.

It is good, that some altcoins drive some use-cases away from Bitcoin. If we would have only one cryptocurrency, then it may quickly became too bloated. Because the current code is not yet ready to handle "superchain scenario" in an efficient way.

One of those cases are test networks: it is good, that some Ordinals, and other data pushes are deployed there, instead of being loaded into mainnet. Test coins are meant to be worthless. They are created only to form a network, where things can be tested publicly. Which means, that only test data matters in testnets, so they are better suited for data-related protocols, and it is good, that they can process some of them, and bring that away from mainnet.

Which has been your favorite

Currently testnets, like testnet3 and testnet4. They are the only test networks I know of, where CPUs and ASICs can co-exist, and where both can mine new blocks with double SHA-256, and get it globally confirmed.

Probably Monero. But as Silent Payments are pushed forward, it is possible, that similar things could be done on Bitcoin. For example: imagine having some Silent Payment address, and re-scanning the chain, to find your UTXOs. It is a similar process, as in Monero, where you have some view-key, and you give a starting block height, to scan the chain for new payments. Here, you can get similar things on BTC, if you use descriptors, combined with Silent Payments.

The government doesn't like two things from cryptos;

1. Decentralization.
2. Privacy.

And that's why they're taking down mostly the first and foremost that has it all which is Monero. As for Bitcoin, it's pseudonymous and it's the firstborn for which most institutions have already invested in and they can't go oppositely on it.

There is no second best to Bitcoin at all even though we sometimes convert our BTC to USDT it is basically to convert it to Fiat and you know since Bitcoin haven't gotten full adoption it is difficult to always transact with BTC all the time except if you are dealing with people that also accepts it as a means of payment but for me Bitcoin stand as a means of investment for me even though I often convert to USDT but I still have great urge to hodl more Bitcoin. Even if the transactions fees are somewhat high but I will still choose Bitcoin as my first and second choice without hesitation instead of holding other coins. I choose Bitcoin because of it's volatility and due to it's upwards and downwards movements because for a Bitcoin investor who have been hodling Bitcoin for a long term, you can basically sell part of your Bitcoin when the price skyrockets and you have made some huge profits then when the price falls during bear season you still have the opportunity to buy at lower price and wait for a bull season to make some profits as well. So it's just Bitcoin or no other coin for me like no alternativity to Bitcoin.

Provably its usage for investment matters, also for availability when we need to transact for p2p situations. Also what caught me up since I start up is the technology also the limited supply which have potential to blow up once global demands would able to rise. Right now there are lots of companies are starting to adopt bitcoin and that impress me even more with this coin.

For second best coin I guess majority would select Ethereum for this matter, we also see how big the demand of ETH so there's no question that there are lots of people would just this next to bitcoin. But I don't do much transaction using ETH since I'm bit disappointed to use this especially when fees goes high.

I like that I can be sure that the money I have in BTC is truly mine. No authorities have any power over it, any access to it. I don't need anyone to approve my transactions, and they go through via a very decentralized and transparent mechanism. Also, it is my sole responsibility to ensure security of my funds, and I am okay with it. So overall, it's the financial freedom for me, even though I also actively use banks due to convenience.

The Monero coin privacy feature advancing Bitcoin is that is at its core transaction properties built on encompassing anonymously while Bitcoin endorses transparencies in their various blockchains.

Monero anonymity transaction mechanism is actually a good one but if we get to point at those features advantages, the transparency of Bitcoin is at its best because transactions can always be tranced definitely on the map reading to figure the movement of transactions within users and on this process, there could be possibilities to identify illegal transactions in the Bitcoin Blockchain while transacted parties could still remain unexposed.

So if we get to consider transaction tracking records, Bitcoin is the best in the line of security network.

If BTC had never existed , ETH would never have appeared because all altcoins were created based on bitcoin , copying ideas from bitcoin and even ETH.
I'm not a bitcoin maximalist but I have to admit that bitcoin is the best and only currency we should own long term and for our actual uses. The rest of the market is no different from speculation , so we need to be more careful instead of looking for another coin to put our trust in instead of bitcoin. ETH may not be close to bitcoin but it is really big but that is not enough for me to have long term faith in it . The crypto industry is very new and things are developing very fast and anything can happen so I wouldn't put my hopes on any other project other than bitcoin.
