is it time to label him a scammer?

EDIT: No, the service clearly had a disclaimer that it was beta. It would be nice if coins could be returned but the risk was always clearly stated.

so if he decided to take all the coins and run because of the rise in litecoin's exchange rate, that is okay because he said it was beta?

whine whine whine here on the forum site been down for a wk or so, no one contacts me -.- lol well fixing it again now shuld last a wk or so.... some db corruption so restart scripts failed to take care of it and never rely on humans to tell you somethings wrong .....

downloading new blockchain just updated the litecoind shuld be all good in 5 mins ..

ps.
Connect error: Connection refused (111) thrown in on line 0
it means what it says connection refused, means litecoind crashed and wont start until someone notify me that theres a problem ..

Hey man- thanks for the work you're doing. Despite the whining, there are those of us who appreciate it!

BTW: I was thinking of cloning the source and putting up my own LTC instawallet- just was curious to ask (I know there is an install readme) but in your personal opinion, on a scale of 1-10 how hard of an endeavor is it?

Are you still interested in setting up your own LTC instawallet?

Of course not, but that's the risk you took by using an unstable instawallet.

<g2x3k> have to fix havent had time -.-
<warren> g2x3k: which URL is that?
<g2x3k> wallet.it.cx
<warren> g2x3k: OK, then I need to correct one of my posts.  Thanks.

InstaWallet's have a right to exist.  Users have the right to know the actual risk involved to make an informed decision if they want to use it or not.

InstaWallet is generally a bad idea especially when there are other web based wallets that allow you encrypt the private key locally.

I surely would have loved all of this very important info on beta wallets B4 I got screwed.

Can anyone tell me how someone can take your BTC and keep it even though everyone knows it!?!

Beta wallet or not, It is all documented and verified, and on top of it all the person who is doing it posts that nobody will do anything about it, and nobody did, thanks everyone for verifying my theft, and thanks for none of the help from none of you.

As always FTW!

-Branzig

I got ripped for 4+ BTC Imagine if they knew where my 30,000BTC is/was. Trust me, am using it to get everyone's back!

Are you aware of a user named toork that forked your code and recently ended up stealing a lot of LTC?

I know you are not responsible for what someone does with your code but it sucks that someone could cause harm with code you originally created.

I personally would never recommend that anyone should store a large amount of money in an instant wallet like this. There's too many risks involved with storing funds on a potentially volatile website which could evaporate at any instant.

While it's possible for an instant wallet website to be completely legitimate, unless they use client-side signing and wallet encryption similar to Blockchain.info, it's highly risky to store a large percentage of your funds in such a wallet.

I trust g2x3k to reliably run this wallet service, and of course I do trust in my own code which was built to be relatively secure internally, but of course it is up to the operator on how to handle the users funds. The original LTC Wallet is still running at wallet.it.cx with not a single complaint of theft yet. In the case of ltc-wallet.com, it was obvious from the second toork began the investments that toork's wallet website was likely a scam, as he was offering an investment service with ridiculous returns while refusing to explaining what he was doing with the invested funds.
We have never attempted to offer such a service, we're only offering a simple instant wallet, which allows for fast, convenient withdrawal and deposits of litecoins.
