The reason I can prefer bitcoin is because there are many ways I can protect the coins in ways that no one on earth can steal my coins from me. I agree with you on this sir and I think aside from the freedom aspect of the decentralized system of bitcoin we look at, the financial security of the blockchain technology is one thing we must equally appreciate. OP just like you rightly said, some persons are centuries behind, so I wouldn't blame them too much for their ignorance, what I do most times is to lecture those person's I know that don't  have idea about digital asset, so they too can know the benefits that comes with it. For some of us in Nigeria, we most recognise that this is still a developing nation, some person's mindset are still fixated to a certain belief system, so it will take a gradual process to change it.
