It's very true that someone that have been learning trading for sometime now can easily get discouraged due to significant losses he or she encountered while trying to trade with a live account, but that just the learning process though,am saying this because I have been in such a situation like that in the past, where i was doing well trading a demo account, the moment I started trading live account I started losing my trade  and even got a significant losses which made me nearly quit trading, though of a truth, it's very discouraging, when encountering such losses, you might think that it's not your thing, and you might decide to quit, but in my own perspective, I sees it as part of the learning process a trader must encounter before gaining perfection.

I share your view, but in my experience, motivation may not be the answer always and it may even put some people into more trouble. There are many traders who tried for years, but now, they do not want to hear about trading anymore. If I average the percentage of those I know who dropped out of trading compared to those who pushed through, it is so high. Among 100 people who trained for trading, I hardly see one today who is still trading, and those who are trading are merely wasting their money, but do invest once in a while to try their luck again.

This is why I think that we should first know what we want in trading (goal) and our capability for it, it is not for everybody. These two factors were my mainstay when learning, it wasn't easy and it took me more than a decade to fully have a stable trading income.
