Your insight is good. It’s useless to hold multiple token while the crypto market always move in same direction. Holding few pairs which you can watch carefully will give you an advantage for your trading strategy since your analysis is focus on few pairs.

Holding bunch of tokens that dump and pump at the same time will just make you exposed to more risk and losses since you can’t react immediately when the market is already making a move since you can’t monitor all of them properly.

A 10% gain on 2 tokens is still the same 10% gain by holding 10 tokens.

As long as you are able to control it very well for several pairs at a time, of course it is not a problem for you to do it like that because the aim of trading is to be able to get a lot of profit with a fairly short duration of time and also with capital sacrifices that are not large enough. That is very important in trading.
Many traders think that if they trade with multiple trades that can make them more profitable but the truth is that it leads them to losses as they can't manage them anymore. Maybe multiple trades are possible for experts and old traders but for newcomers, it is advisable to take 1 pair at a time and focus on it. More trading pairs also increase risk and stress, and more often we fail to communicate with the market which certainly leads to making wrong decisions.

Mastery- if we had this, it was not difficult for us to take more. But for me, 2-3 trading pairs are enough.

Well,considering my own little experience in the trading sector, I suspect that sticking to a few trade pairings makes you flawless in the trade, and the more familiar he becomes with the trade, the stronger he becomes in facing the reality of trading losses.

When I was a forex trader, I only traded one Euro/Usd currency pair and I admit that what you said is exactly what I experienced. Trading one or two pairs will help us gain patience and master the game rather than trading too many pairs which will make us lose direction.

But with the cryptocurrency market, I see many people doing the opposite, most people like to trade many pairs at the same time and they say they want to minimize risk. There's nothing wrong with that because the cryptocurrency market is much more volatile and unpredictable than the forex market . So in my opinion, if trading a pair is helping you make good profits then you should maintain that instead of imitating others but not giving better results. In trading or investing , it doesn't matter what method or strategy you use , what matters is the results you produce.

Yeah, you made valid points. Trading multiple pairs also increases the risk of getting liquidated easily. We need to understand that the more we trade or the more positions we open, the higher the risk of getting liquidated as well. And the less we understand the movement of these assets we are trading, the greater the risk becomes.

Well, whichever is working for you with any of the pairs that you prefer, that's a good strategy to remain on it. Unlike the other traders that are still changing their pairs because they think that it is the perfect strategy.

Back when I first got into crypto, I was like a kid in a candy store with all the different trading pairs out there.  Bitcoin one week, Ether the next.  And chasing after every random altcoin that caught my attention.  I felt about as lost as a newbie at a blockchain conference. 

But once I wised up and picked a couple solid pairs to focus on - the lightbulb flashed on.  Finally those chaotic charts started making some sense.  I could spot patterns taking shape and even take some guesses at where prices might be headed (well, some of the time anyway).  Plus having the patience to stick with just a couple coins instead of impulse buying every shiny new thing definitely makes sense.

So yeah I'm fully on board with mastering a few pairs instead of doing a half-assed job trading everything under the sun.  The focused approach is the way to go in this game.

It will be good to focus on a few trading Paris instead of many Because by using many pairs, the person's concentration is not complete on one thing and as a result, he may lose instead of profit. So your point makes sense that trading in many pairs can make you lose. Because on one hand, market modifiers try to make you lose through liquidation, and on the other hand, the concentration phase can push you to lose. 
 
Therefore, I also believe that trading should be done in one pair or few because trading in many pairs can be harmful because cryptocurrency is a volatile market which can make you lose because of its volatile nature. Trade in many pairs in time. Everyone else has their own style of action. I think it is inappropriate to trade in many pairs, although people can organize profit from it, but it is highly risky.

It reduces the complexity because if we focus on multiple trading pairs then we have to develop strategies for each of them and it becomes difficult to manage all of those strategies.
On the other hand, focusing on just a few pairs increases the effectiveness of the strategies since we pay more attention and time on those pairs.

Maybe more better enough for people to focus first on few altcoins to trade because for that they could able to monitor well their assets. Compare if they spend on a lot of alts and they might struggle to follow certain news that possibly help them to decide on what to do next on their trades.

Well, there's one thing about trading: I usually muttered to myself some word of advice, which is, "Do what works for you." Trading has its principles, and if you are doing the right thing in trading, it will definitely work for a good amount of time and will always continue to work. So, if you discover that you are more profitable by trading just one or two pairs, that's fine, but that doesn't mean that people who are trading different pairs are not also making a profit. 

Personally, I also love trading only a few pairs, and I have so much understanding about how the market trend is always going for that pair. If there is any change, I can quickly detect it. My favorite pair is BTC/USDT, which I trade mostly all the time and for years now. Some times too, I still do look for some volatile altcoins and study them for some time before trading them. First let's trade Spot only. Additionally if you trade Spot with Bitcoin in BTC/ USDT pair, you will have a second choice or say a second chance, if your trading position is bad, you can hold it and wait for market recovery.

If you trade with leverages or futures type, your position, if too bad, will be liquidated. So don't touch Leverage/ Futures Trading type.

Some times too, I still do look for some volatile altcoins and study them for some time before trading them. There was one token, and I traded it for more than one week because I was so familiar with how the trend was going. I made more successful trades with that token for weeks.

With altcoins, their trends depend mainly on Bitcoin trend. If Bitcoin trend is broken or it has a correction, altcoins will be in big troubles. Bitcoin can fall 5% or 10% but I am sure with you majority of altcoins will react seriously with 15% or 30% or even bigger fall. It is easy to see in Red days of Bitcoin, the whole market will be in red and altcoins will be in massacre and bloody.

I think I also share same views as of yours. I only trade few pairs and so far I've made profits on those pairs. Sometimes I do test out new pairs but most of the times I avoid new pairs and stick to the ones that I trade mostly.

I mostly trade Bitcoin/USDT and so far that has been one of the most profitable pair for for but yes I do trade LTC, Solana, TON, ETH, and a few other pairs. I traded Not Coin when it was added to Binance and made some profits with that but if I had hold that then I could've made more profit with that one.

Choosing a pairs does depend on some factors because some coins can perform only a season and don't prints candles the next. Only the likes of Bitcoin, Ether, Sol, bnb and some top coins can give you good profits and are the only reason coins with huge amount of volume whether in bull run or in bear market. However, there are some altcoins that are making moves massively because people are bullish on them but once the market is flat, they don't give you profits again because the hype dies immediately and such coin can't be consider as favorites.

It's not bad not to also trade the ones that are not popular, after all profit is profit. If you see opportunities in some coins and there is a huge news around them, don't hesitate to trade them because you never can tell how much you can get scalping on their news. Such kind of coins can give you much profits you can't even make from your favorites but just as I said, they are seasonal and print candle during the bull run.

I do agree that more pairs means that more chances to find a good trade. I get that we should consider that we can't make it work some other way, we need to realize that things are not that simple. All in all we need to just realize that more pairs doesn't guarantee money, but it does guarantee more possibilities. So, all you have to do about this would be realizing that you are not on the wrong path, you are doing fine.

I guess the best thing to do right now would be considering how things could change, and that way we could probably make something better. Complexity of it is the hardest part, taking things one by one for many pairs will take a long time and will require you to freshen up on each time, but it's definitely a higher ceiling.

As an emerging crypto traders the most safest and easiest thing to do is to have a few pairs to trade and as soon as you gaining more mastering you gradually adding more pairs to your whitelist. The major important of doing this is to improve and master your strategy (technical analysis), be familiarize with the chart understand how it move, know your do and don't, shape your risk management and proper trade management and most important thing master your psychology. As an 4years of experienced trader trading is more of patience and little of triggering the sell/short or buy/long button.
