Comparing how much you spend to the amount of time you enjoy the entertainment activities is not appropriate. The level or type of fun you get from each activity is different. The joy of winning a computer game where nothing is at stake is different from gambling. The anxiety and suspense of waiting for your game to play cannot be compared to the type I experience in movies. If gambling is only for entertainment, then I would prefer to buy a video game or pay for a TV subscription to watch some of the football games. This is indeed an interesting perspective to have if we analyze different forms of entertainment and how they could affect our income and savings, though, I would like to point out that in the example of the "computer game" the kind of game and the platform which we buy it on can vary the hours of entertainment greatly.
There are games which are only about 5-6 hours long and they can cost up to 80$ at the day of their launch, those are movie-games, which are not replayable. On the other hand, there are some very good and well done indie games which have hundreds of hours available, that is specially true when we talk of dungeon-crawlers and rogue-likes.

I also think that the amount of time and money spent on entertainments differs and you cannot compare most of them to the amount of money spent on gambling. Gambling is an expensive entertainment if you're looking at it from the fun perspective, for other entertainments like going to the movies or sitting in a stadium to watch live matches, you pay once and enjoy yourself but the longer you stay in gambling the more money you're spending, except when you win. Gambling does not come to me like a form of entertainment. I'm even thinking that those who find gambling as entertainment tend o be so addicted to it because the feeling of joy they derive from gambling makes them suspend their own rules including the need to properly manage the bankroll. You are right, but the fun thing about gambling being used as entertainment is that you can sometimes manage to win significant amounts from it which isn't a possibility when we are getting entertained from other sources. Besides, it depends on a person's interests whether what they want to do at a certain time to get entertained. A person wouldn't like to do a single thing every time to get entertained, I might want to play some video games sometimes, but I might also want to watch a movie at another time, it all depends on the mood.
