ZEUS wallet news

this thread is intended to bundle various news about the well-known ZEUS ln-wallet.
of course, various questions can also be asked here and solutions to problems can be explained

two new versions have been released today, 0.8.5 and 0.90.-beta, which bring the following new features with them:

0.8.5 features bolt12 offers, bip-353 addresses and embedded node performance
0.9.0-beta features the new lsp service, wardware wallet and watch-only support and batch channel opens

Zeus wallet released new version v0.9.0 with big changes, most important that hardware wallet and watch-only support was added.
Note that supported hardware wallets are Passport, Coldcard, Seedsigner, Krux and Keystone, that can all be used for opening and closing channels.
I am not a fan on Lightning Network, but this is currently one of the best lightning wallets available.

today the new 0.11.3 version was released with a considerable number of bug fixes and other new features and functions such as:

a rescue key system for recovering swaps
routing history for cln nodes
bolt 12 withdrawal requests for cln nodes

Two days ago, ZEUS finally added the ability to add/manage watchtowers ^[#3010]. On the same release, they also added the ability to set the speed for animated QRs ^[#3150] and also support for hybrid Lightning addresses ^{[BIP-353/BOLT-12 + LNURL-pay (#3203)]}.

yesterday the new 0.11.6 version was released with a considerable number of bug fixes and other new features and functions such as:

At this point I think it's rational to say you deserve a wallet announcement badge because I've discovered countless wallets just via your topics. Anyways as for the Zeus wallet I think these features are worth trying just for educational purposes though.

How's their swap feature is it open source or actually closed source like most wallets do. I'm asking because I noticed most wallets with many of these features actually have those parts close sourced even if some of them are actually open source.

Judging by their interface, swaps are not developed by the Zeus team but are an integration of the Boltz service. Zeus simply adds its own markup on top of Boltz's fee, so instead of 0.5% it ends up being 0.6%.

That 0.1% additional fee is too little to be define as earning from that called referral but yeah its super user friendly rates considering its an instant swap.
And good thing the partnered swap exchange is open source although i just heard it, but it looks like they have already reputation and is already running for how many years already. Here's the new discussion of the swap exchange btw.

I've been looking closely at the new features Zeus implemented. It all sounds very appealing, for sure. Not many wallets offer channel recovery when moving to a new device. Off the top of my head, only Valet and Phoenix come to mind. And for mobile Lightning wallets, that's a much-needed feature.

However, I noticed the massive 0.5% fee Zeus charges for transfers. Has it always been like this, or is this something new that came along with the latest updates?

Zeus has been elevated to v13.1.0. It brings to wallet some changes^{leaned heavily into Cashu and CLINK as a second Nostr-based payment route alongside NWC}, but i would like to highligt that now it extracts token regardless of the wrapping URL format. Also it is worth to mention that release enables the actual scanning in decoy-style QR scanner mode on Android,
