People before are doubting on the intention of Trump for supporting bitcoin and many say that its just a political propaganda just to create a hype for his name.

Now that he select a VP which is bitcoiner then that tells everything that Trump is really serious on his bitcoin policy. Now with this tandem we can say that bitcoin would be good in USA. Also for sure those country who adopt bitcoin especially El Salvador will be happy with this development since provably they would earn huge benefits for US becoming a bitcoin or crypto friendly country. Imagine the exposure Bitcoins get for latest USA election this will be huge since it gets global exposure. Bitcoin future is really great with this developments happen.

I wonder if Trump's administration will go as far as backing the USD with BTC? If that happens, one can imagine Bitcoin going all the way to the moon. Trump's first term took a soft stance with crypto. So there's a high possibility the same will happen if he wins the White House again. No crypto supporter would side with the Democratic Party. Especially with enemies such as Elizabeth Warren and Gary Gensler.

The main goal is to remove Uncle Gary from office. And what better way to do by voting for Trump in November? Hopefully, Americans choose wisely for the good of the crypto/Blockchain industry and the country itself.

If you think about what fiat is and how it works you'd realize that this is impossible.

Fiats like USD have an unlimited supply so they can not be backed by anything with a finite supply. In fact that is why they stopped the Bretton Woods system a long time ago!
They are currently printing about a trillion dollar every 100 days. How would they continue this if each dollar is supposed to be backed by anything including BTC? They can't stop creating debt either.

Elon Musk attending the BTC conference is going to be huge. It's going to give much needed publicity for the cryptocurrency. Especially when Mr. Musk is the richest man in the world. He already sided with Trump, so victory in the White House for the GOP is certain. With Gary Gensler out of the picture, crypto companies and exchanges can boost their business in America without obstacles. It's likely Bittrex and Binance will make a comeback.

Alright, while I initially thought that pretending to be pro-Bitcoin was a temporary political stunt by Trump, I now agree that it's a politically motivated shift but one he might actually stick to after getting elected (if he gets elected). If it's both him and VP, the USA might change its policies and become more crypto-friendly. However, I still hope that when people eligible to vote in these elections choose who to vote for, their main priority won't be crypto stance. Presidency comes with a lot more than that, and even if someone is very pro-Bitcoin, it is still important to ensure that one's views generally align with the Republicans and with Trump's vision specifically.

It's definitely a politically motivated shift but I don't think he will stick to it after getting elected. Did you read his promises? He promises self-custody, total control on Bitcoin for its users and also promises that the USA will save some part of its strategic reserves in Bitcoins. Watched a video of Musk talking to a journalist yesterday but suddenly it was taken off by youtube and their comments section turned off when I went back to get the link to it.

Kamala Harris's position of refusing to attend the conference seems to me a more credible position and consistent with the policies of her administration. She would have found herself in a debate against her competitors to discuss a file about which she does not have sufficient information. The country needs to fix spending issues first, before considering having its own BTC reserves. Once national debt is off the picture, then we can talk about backing the USD with BTC and whatnot.

To be fair, I support Trump because I hope he will bring a new breeze, a better future to the cryptocurrency industry. But I think some of the promises are being exaggerated here. Using bitcoin as a national reserve asset is not easy, everything would have to go through 2 houses before being approved by Congress and I don't think this would be successful even if Trump proposed it. Regarding using BTC to support USD, that is even more impossible, a highly volatile asset cannot support a currency that is losing value on a daily basis.
We support Trump but need to be realistic about what can and cannot happen.

Wow, I had read about the new VP but did not know this aspect. It seems then that Trump's pro-Bitcoin turn is in earnest. In general I don't trust politicians, and if it's on the campaign trail even less but Trump would be neither the first nor will he be the last to change his stance on Bitcoin (remember Saylor, for example). He also received $2 from the Winklevoss twins. But if the VP has personally Bitcoin it seems clear that if he wins with his policies he is going to be favorable to Bitcoin and all that surrounds it. There are also several big name Republicans involved in Bitcoin and the Mining Industry, like Ted Cruz for example.

It brings a whole lot of attention to Bitcoin as the race for the highest office in the world turns now to Bitcoin for more attention by speaking of what they will do and how they plan to embrace it in the future.
