*Note: new to mining sats and am not an engineer type*

I want to heat a greenhouse to grow plants over the winter. What are some must-knows and pitfalls before I start? I was considering S19's from a price point/efficiency. Totally open to good ideas.

Small greenhouse = 500m2.
Temps range -4 to 10 degrees celsius outside.

Will one s19 be enough to heat this area?
Will the heat loss be too significant?
Is there a way to automate so the temp is ideal?

Thanks!

I think it won't be enough if you only have 1 unit because 500m2 house is a big area and based on the specs of s19 the maximum temp of each board is around 80c and the outside house is very cold. So it can't heat the whole area unless if you have more than 8 units I guess it might heat the whole area but for 1 units it's impossible.

so bare with me a meter is 3.3 feet.  and 3.3 x 3.3 = 10.89 sq ft x 500 = 5500 sq ft

That is 50 x 100 feet .  or  17 x 34 meters

The math is all ball park but close enough.

Which is a really large green house.

Now I have used a 3000 watt unit in my garage which is 440 square feet or 40 square

meters. If it is the winter and I run a 3000 watt unit in my attached very well insulated

garage.

My garage will start to be cold in 10f weather
My garage will be cooler in 20f weather ------------- this is your cold temp
My garage will  be cool in 30f weather
My garage will stay warm in 40f weather

So if one  3000 unit  can warm my  40 sq meter garage  and you are 500square meter

you may need 11 units when the temps are -4c

33kwatts give around 128,700 btus

Pretty sure it can warm the greenhouse  but as BitMaxz said 9 of them and I come up with 11 of them.

A huge amount depends on how good the greenhouse holds the heat.

1- heat it by how much? 1 degree? 2? it probably will, but make it 30c warm? sure not!
2- heat loss will depend on the insulation fo the green house
3- yes you can use something like Awsomeminer to automate it.

Here is a related subject that you might want to read > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5486957.0 , I believe everything you need to know has already been discussed in that thread, just read all the comments and you will learn a lot of things.
