Most of us have been a holder of Bitcoin, and it's really the prime mover of crypto. However, if we think about the altcoin market, Ethereum is still the top and so with this kind of news, if might trigger a avalanche of altcoin getting huge gains because of Ethereum ETFs.

We don't compare ETF's though, we all know that they have different investors. But ETH ETF's could also flow big money in the beginning because of the hype.

I just have small amounts of ETH, nothing big, majority is still in BTC to be honest.

It definitely could trigger altseason. If we look at the price action in Bitcoin since they got Spot ETFs, it is up considerably. Now that Ethereum is accepted as a commodity & will be accessible by deep pockets, I see no reason why it won’t pump hard in the coming months which obviously usually means money gets pumped into ERC20 tokens also.

I've read a few news reports about this, and it gives us reasons to focus on altcoins. Right now, ETH is already breaking through resistance levels due to the news. If ETH rallies, we can expect altcoins to follow soon after. Thanks to a certain sharpshooter's enthusiasm, and more good news is right now the crypto sentiment is positive. So, the outlook remains bullish for the near future.

ETH is the second biggest cryptocurrency, so I believe it will be as successful as Bitcoin ETF.

Nope, I didn't own any ETH, it's already quite late to buy ETH just for taking advantage over the ETF hype because the hype could be happen before the ETF launched or after the ETf launched. If the hype only happened before the ETF launched, it means I bought ETH at the peak.

However, the rise of ETH price doesn't mean other altcoins will follow too.

As much as I'd like to agree with you, I want to point out that it's not always the case. There have been times when ETH price have followed a different trajectory. The same might be happening here because once those ETF inflows start coming in for ETH, it would mean more buy price on ETH. Even if those mega inflows last for short to medium period of time, they would directly affect the price of Bitcoin for sure.

Imo ETH breaking ATH at that time will simply a self-fulfilling prophecy for most traders of ETH in the market.

1. I'm expecting that spot ETH ETF will be successful but maybe the inflow of money will be less than what BTC can do, since even with the Grayscale mini ETF is getting a green light, the price doesn't change that much, it's such a letdown tbh.



2. Hopefully it can help market to be bullish in some way, since with the news of Mt.Gox market has been engulfed with fear, definitely need a good news right now.

Could be. It depends on how deeply interested institutional investors are in Ethereum. Capital inflows between the spot BTC ETFs and the spot ETH ETFs will tell you which is most successful. I've read about many companies filing for spot ETH ETFs, so it looks like things are going to be bright for the cryptocurrency.

Personally, I hold less than 1 ETH in my portfolio. I'm planning to buy more before the next "pump". It's likely altcoins will go to the moon, once ETH spot ETFs get the "green light" from the SEC. Especially ETH-based tokens (ERC-20). Shiba Inu is one of them, and could easily benefit from a ETH spot ETF. Who knows? Exciting times ahead for ETH "hodlers".

1. I don't think ETH ETF will be as successful as bitcoin. The reason is clear. Ethereum can't leave bitcoin's movement. As long as Ethereum keeps following it, it will be stuck. Things may change if the ETF buys hundreds of thousands of Ethereum from the market. But, the impact may not be as big as bitcoin's did.
Again, Ethereum's deflation is also getting slower. This is due to the lack of transactions in the blockchain. This is also inflating the total supply of Ethereum itself. It's very hard to say Ethereum's price will be surge more than 50% like what Bitcoin did. Ethereum's trend still follows bitcoin.

2. I don't expect much from ETH ETFs. And again, this can't have a huge impact on all crypto. Ethereum is the only coin that will benefit from the launch of ETH ETF. This is pretty much the same as bitcoin's case. Look at how altcoins are always getting eaten by bitcoin.
People are slowly moving their money only to the BTC, and probably ETH ETF makes it worst. The demand for altcoins will be less.

3. I've sold all of Ethereum at the peak price. Buy the rumors and sell for the news. I don't mind how big Ethereum will increase, and i can still enter the party through future trades. It's very obvious people will sell their Ethereum after the launch of ETH ETF.

ETH doesn't have to have an ETF as successful as BTC, because lets face it Bitcoins name is a lot bigger for the group that would fail to buy btc themselves and only use an ETF to get it. So, obviously it will not get something that big, and that is understandable and normal. However, we need to realize that it is not going to be something that will take a while, we just need to make sure that we deal with something that is going to be fine, and that is the most important part.

I personally believe that if we give it some time, we are going to deal with something that will take a while. The issue here is that we are going to deal with a lot of people who will face tough situations, and not really deal with anything that will give us any benefit at all. I think if you see ETH as something of a "king of alts" then you will realize that, we have a chance, it could be small, but there could be some altseason that happens, like maybe 100% max, not those 10x types, but it will still be good.

This is why I believe that we should keep our hopes high, lets wait for it to happen and be ready for an increase, at worst case it can't cause the alt prices to go down, so it is not going to be too bad at all.

I wouldn't get my hopes too high. Especially when the crypto market is struggling to get back on its feet. The spot ETFs for ETH were approved, but there hasn't been any price action yet. It will take quite some time before ETH experiences a huge "pump". I'm pretty sure altcoins will follow.

If ETH spot ETFs become a success, there's a high chance prominent altcoins will get their own ETFs too. Solana is next in line to have one. There are also talks about a possible Litecoin ETF. This will result in higher market prices over the long term. It would be "dumb" enough not to buy and "hodl" ETH before the next bull market. Everybody wants to make money, right?

Yeah, so far we haven't seen any action as far as the price goes. But if we look at Bitcoin's ETF approval, the same thing happen, it takes month before we suddenly see the positive effect on this news on the market and this is what it triggers a new all time high prior to the halving. So it's better to just continue what we have done before, buy and accumulate and then HODL, simply as that. If by chance the Ethereum market catches up with the hype of ETF then maybe we will see a huge spike in the price. And we are in the bull run season as well, so most likely we will see the price slowly increasing and who knows, maybe next year not just Ethereum, but the whole crypto market is enjoying a good run and majority of the coins are hitting their new all time high.
