Could be the alleged plot of assassination of a candidate for the presidency of the United States to be a causus belli? It could be, but as it stands right now, Trump does not have any power to command a war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, actually, even if he became president of the United States again, it would be unprecedented for a president to push the congress of the country to declare war. Usually causus belli does not involve personal situations, or implications like this, so some could view the declaration as a personal and unjustified revenge by Trump to go after the government of Iran. Rather than working for peace, we would only create unrest among people of both countries, nobody with good intentions wants that.
